My Day.....Today

Hello dear world

Good evening. How was everyone's day today ? I hope you all have a wonderful and relaxing day. I thought I would come by and share my day with you as well. As you all might know this is the very last day of September.

Anywho...earlier today it was a really beautiful day in Atlanta, Georgia and the weather was amazing. I do love love love love love love love this time of year. Back to what I was saying...earlier today I treated my family to dinner at Longhorn Steakhouse which is always good. For dinner my mother and I had the 16oz. ribeye. I had mine with mashed potatoes and she had hers with a baked potato. My niece Jeanette had shrimp while my other niece Megan had a hamburger which is her favorite thing to eat. My mom also had the French Onion soup and my dad had the 7oz. Salmon. I can tell you that our dinner was pretty good. Before our meal came I had a Caesar salad while my mom and my niece Jeanette had the regular tossed salad. This was not our first time at Longhorn and I'm sure we'll end up going back again soon.

After dinner we then took a ride over to Kmart where we all did some shopping. While I was at Kmart I bought some books, some Caress soap which is my favorite soap to use and a CD by my favorite singer Michael Buble titled "Come Fly With Me". I also bought a Marie Claire magazine because I enjoy reading all different kinds of magazines. As you know shopping for me is always fun, fun, fun, fun.

By the way Pam asked me what Banned Book Week is ? Well Banned Book Week is observed during the last week of September into the beginning of October. Banned Book Week is about celebrating the Freedom to Read. If you would like more information here is a link for you to check out ------> www.ala.org/bbooks/ .

So my dear world how was your day today ? Did you do any shopping today ? My family and I also watched the Atlanta Falcons game which my dad was excited about because the Falcons won their game tonight since he is an Atlanta Falcons fan. All in all our day was pretty nice. I hope your day was a nice one too. That's about it for me and my news. Of course tomorrow starts another week at work for me. I'll be back to talk to you again later.

Good-night all !!!!!!!!!

Friday's Notes...But Its Already Saturday

Hello dear world

How are you ? You might have noticed the title to my entry and I have to explain. At the moment in my neck of the woods its 1:21 AM but this entry is about my day today and not about Saturday.

Anywho....it was another day at the courthouse for me and it was a really slow day after such a busy busy busy week. While my coworkers and I were sitting in our room earlier this morning my favorite singer Brian McKnight came on the radio.

At lunch time my coworkers and I went to a Mexican restaurant in Jonesboro, Georgia where my coworkers got themselves both a meal to go but I didn't get anything from there. Can you guess what happened next ??? Well they both got sick from the food and I wasn't sick at all. My family and I had stopped eating there because we found out the food wasn't good. Other people at the courthouse even said the food there wasn't good. I tried to tell my coworkers but did they listen ???? NO !!!!!!

I also wanted to tell you that during our lunch break my coworkers and I went over to the Dollar Tree which is a fun store to shop at. I picked up a few items in the store including some butterfly stickers and some heart stickers, I also got 2 different pairs of Halloween socks, an Eeyore light up pen since I still like Eeyore from the Disney classic "Winnie The Pooh". I also got a Witches Broom light up pen, 2 cute folders for my oldest niece and a light up pen for her and a bag of fake rats for Halloween.

Later on after work my family and I went out to dinner at a Mexican restaurant. While we were there my mom and I ordered a plate called the "Fajitas For Two" which is something we order regularly at Mexican restaurants.

On our way home from dinner my mom and I and my nieces dropped off my dad at home and we then headed to Kohl's to do some shopping. While we were there I picked up some things since there was a sale going on. Anywho...I got a navy blue necklace, a navy blue and light blue bracelet, 2 Autumn candles and one of them is a Hot Cider scented candle. I also picked up a coffee mug which looks like a piece of art as well as an orange and black Halloween tablecloth which has pumpkins and some witches hats on it. While we were there my oldest niece also picked up a few shirts she liked. My mom wanted a multicooker but she decided not to get it. I also picked up some small Jeff Gordon Christmas ornaments as well.

After Kohl's we wanted to go to JoAnn's but unfortunately it was already closed by time we had finished at Kohl's. My mom said we will try to go back to JoAnn's tomorrow. You might also want to know that tomorrow is the "International Night" at St. Philip Benizi which is always fun. All in all my day was nice.

So my dear world how was your day ?? I hope you had a really wonderful and memorable Friday I sure did. I do hope that you all have a safe and exciting weekend. Well that's all for now. I'll get back with you later I'm sure with more news.

Good-night. Sweet dreams

Some News.....

Hello dear world

Good evening everyone. At the moment its 11:30 pm. I know I know its late but I had to come and chat with you. First of all as you might not know it was another day for me at work and I was busy busy busy busy busy busy busy busy busy busy busy but I made it through my day.

While I was at work a little something happened to my mom but rest assured my dear world do NOT fear she is fine and everything is okay. She just had a little tumble but everything turned out alright. We can all laugh about it I just thought you might want to know.

The real news is that I am sorry to report that I am as of today NO longer a fan of "BONES"on fox. They disappointed me in every way and I have to say that they have lost a devoted fan in me. I had waited months for it to come on and then I was let down by the season premiere.

I can say that I was happy by the show "House" it was wonderful and I can't wait to see it next Tuesday. I have to say if you get a chance you should watch it. It comes on Tuesday nights at 9:00 pm on Fox. Here is a link ----> www.fox.com/house/

Yesterday I also found me another show called "The Big Bang Theory" and I am a continued fan of "Two and a Half Men". I have to say that Charlie Sheen is better than ever. You have to see this show its amazingly funny and I highly recommend it. Here is a link for you ----> www.cbs.com/primetime/big_bang_theory/

I have to tell you that I am loving the weather in my neck of the woods. I especially like going to the stores where the shelves are stocked with Halloween and Autumn decorations. I am just lovvvvvvvvvvvvvvvving this time of year yes I am yes I am.

So my dear world how are things with you ? What did you do today ? I hope your day was a nice one. Mainly I just wanted to come by and say hi so HI !!!!!!!!!!!!

Take care everyone. Until then.........

Update....

Hello dear world

Good afternoon. Its me again. How is everyone today ? I hope everyone is getting a chance to enjoy their Sunday. This morning my folks and I and my nieces went to our church St. Philip Benizi for mass. We returned the Elijah Cup and the Journal to church and another family now has the Elijah Cup and the Journal as we did. I have to tell you my dear world that we will be having a International Night at our church pretty soon. I will let you know when. On the International Night there will be people and food coming in from all over the world. After the food, music and dancing there will be a mass following the festivities. Its always fun.

Anywho....after church we went to Denny's nearby and I have to say that the server was so busy that she missed a lot of things during her work. She forgot to give us silverware, my parents their coffee and our drinks. It took some time for her to bring us our food and to other tables. The thing is that had her working the other side of the room as well and they kept her running so I don't think it was her fault. She was running all around Denny's like she was on fire. She was doing the best job she could.

So my dear world how has your day been ? At the moment my folks are watching football. The weather I am happy to report has been cool and it seems like Autumn has arrived quite nicely. I don't mind Summer being over. I will enjoy this time of year. Has Autumn arrived to your neck of the woods ?

By the way there is a really great guy named Christopher who has a journal that I think you might want to visit. Please do go over and say hello. I think he would appreciate some visitors to his journal. Here is his link --------> http://journals.aol.com/cmarlow480/ChristophersJournal/

That's about it for me and my news. I'll be back with you later. Take care everyone !!!!!!!!!!

I'm Back With Dinner And A Movie Or Maybe Much Ado About Nothing....I Couldn't Decide On A Title

Hello dear world

Its me again and I have more news....again.

A few minutes ago my folks and I had lunch for dinner. We had ham from the deli at the supermarket on round sandwich rolls with mayonnaise and mustard. With their sandwiches they had tomato bisque soup. With my sandwich I had Lays Regular Potato Chips with Kool-aid on the rocks.

While we ate we watched "The Wedding Date" with Debra Messing and Dermot Mulroney. Here is the link for you ----> www.theweddingdate.net/ . If you get the chance you must see this movie its incredibly funny and its worth watching more than once. Dermot Mulroney is quite the charmer in the movie and I have to say I enjoyed it.

Well that's it for now or maybe not if I end up with more news to share. I know I have kept you long enough. I'll keep you posted.

Until then......

Am I Weird or What ??

Hello dear world

Good evening. I know I know my dear world another entry surprise surprise. You might want to know that my dad and my youngest niece returned home from the game earlier today at the start of the 8th inning of the Atlanta Braves game. The Braves did beat the Milwaukee Brewers 4-3 and yes I watched the entire game at home.

Anywho...before the baseball game however I watched a movie called "See Jane Date" here is the link ---> http://abcfamily.go.com/seejanedate/ . Its about a single woman who struggles through a series of disastrous encounters in a desperate attempt to find a date for her cousin's wedding in just four weeks. Its funny and its worth watching.

So my dear world what did you do today ? I hope you got a chance to enjoy it. I also hope you get to enjoy your Sunday as well. That's about it for now. I will talk to you again later.

Good-night !!!

* Its possible I may be back with more news so I'll keep you posted. *

An Early Saturday Briefing

Hello my dear world

Good afternoon how is everyone ? I have a little bit of news for you. But first I am happy to report that the weather is pretty nice here. I do have to tell you that a little while ago I was on the deck in the back and something amazing happened...while my hand was on the rail a hummingbird came zipping up to the tip of my finger which has never happened before. I looked over and this hummingbird came up to the tip of my finger and I just stood there looking at this hummingbird flying by the tip of my finger. A few minutes later it flew off to a nearby tree. This was the first time a hummingbird has done that. I loved looking at it. The hummingbird was a navy blue with metallic grey on it and it was beautiful. I have to say that I am glad my dad put out a hummingbird feeder because I got to be face to face up close and personal with a hummingbird it was a wonderful experience. Here is a link for you to see hummingbirds ---> www.hummingbirds.net/

Anywho....you will be happy to know that my foot is better thank you all for your kind words. My niece is also feeling better she has been taking medicine and she is up and she is doing fine. My other niece Megan will be going for the very first time to an Atlanta Braves baseball game with my father at Turner Field. Someone at the courthouse gave my father 2 tickets to the baseball game and my niece had said she had wanted to go to a baseball game since we hadn't had a chance to take her. Today will be her first time and let me tell you she is excited. I know she will have fun. I know my dad will have fun he is definitely a sports fan he watches baseball and football on television. Here is a link to the ballpark -----> http://atlanta.braves.mlb.com/atl/ballpark/index.jsp .

As for me I don't have any plans yet but you never know. I sure hope you are enjoying your Saturday my dear world. Let me know how your day goes. By the way how isthe weather in your neck of the woods ? Well that's about it for now. I'll talk to you again later.

Have a good one. Byyyyyyyyye !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ITS FRIDAY !!!!!!!!!!

Hello dear world

How are you ???? Let me start by saying......It's Friday !! It's Friday !!

Okay here I am again. How was my day ?? Well my day started before 6:15 am at the courthouse where I work. My morning began like this:

A black cat walked in front of me at the employee's entrance where I go in but before the black cat who did I see ? News vans from the Fox 5 News Channel in my neck of the woods were parked in the front of the entrance. One of the male reporters was standing in front of one of the camera's prepping to talk live on camera...Why ??? Well in my neck of the woods which is called Clayton County, Georgia there was a huge cocaine bust made by some Clayton County police officers and so that was the late breaking news. Here is the Fox 5 link ---> www.myfoxatlanta.com/

Anywho....I did want to tell you a little something. My mom started me watching a show on television called "CSI:Crime Scene Investigation" which I can say is a very interesting crime show. I love the show its wonderful. Here is the link ------> www.cbs.com/primetime/csi/ .My favorites on the show are William Peterson who plays Gil Grissom and Gary Dourdan who plays Warrick Brown.

In other news I am sad to report that my oldest niece isn't feeling all that well and as for me I hurt the bottom of my foot mainly because I stepped on a thin piece of wood which I didn't see at first stuck in the carpet inside of our house. The piece of wood did come out of the bottom of my left foot and my mom applied some medicine to it and a band-aid. My foot did hurt today at work but I'm sure a nice hot shower will do the trick tonight.

On a totally different note I have to tell you about something that happened inside of my work. Earlier this afternoon on the 2nd floor of my work there was a really nice looking gentleman walking down the hallway and I saw him. Once he got to where I was standing I smiled at him and asked him how he was doing and he replied back with a smile and he then said hello back to me and he asked me how I was doing. After that I replied with a smile and I told him that I was fine. My coworkers were standing nearby and they agreed with me that he was nice looking and they saw that he was looking back at me as he was went walking down the hallway. My coworkers then replied to me that he must have liked what he saw. I had wanted to ask him for his phone number when I was talking to him but my brain had shut down at that point. I just wanted to share that with you. I know that I am a bit silly.

So how was your day dear world ? Any plans for the weekend ? I don't have any plans as yet but you never know. I'll get back with you later tomorrow and tell you if anything pops up. Do keep me posted on your weekend.

That's it for now. Byyyyyyyyyye !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its Q & A Time

Hello dear world...

How are all of you ?? It was a really beautiful day in my neck of the woods unfortunately I had to take the day off of work and go to the doctor but I will tell you about that later.

Anywho....I know you have all been waiting for me to do my interview which was given to me by our dear friend Dan and I will now give you all the interview. I hope you enjoy finding out some things about me.

And now the interview...

1.) What's the coolest thing about living in a hot, little town such as Atlanta ?

Answer: I have to say that the coolest thing about living in Atlanta would be the campgrounds all over Atlanta, the restaurants especially "The Varsity". I would also have to say the different shopping stores like "Discover Mills" which has everything you could ever want under 1 roof. You have to check out this link -----> www.atlanta.com/

2.) The world is going to end next week ( let's say sometime around noon on Monday the 24th of September ). What do you do to get ready for the end of life as we know it ?

Answer : That's an easy one I would say that I would want to spend every single hour with my family just hanging out as we usually do at home watching movies and such

3.) Your name, it's kind of unique around these parts, Is there a story behind your name ?

Answer : Actually there is a story behind my name Monae. My mom wanted to spell my name M O N E T after Claude Monet the artist but a friend of hers had already given her daughter that name so she combined Claude Monet with the famous Mona Lisa painting and gave me Monae. Its not really unusual its just common actually

4. ) If you could be a virtuoso in any one musical instrument, what would that instrument be ?

Answer : I can't say that I am much into musical instruments but I would have to say the guitar. The reason for this is that I like hearing the singer John Mayer play the guitar so I guess that's why I pick the guitar

5. ) What is the best book you've ever read, and why ?

Answer : I would have to say that the best book I've ever read would be "The Diary of Anne Frank". I think that since I have kept handwritten diaries and journals of my own I have to say that me and her had that common. I also have to say that I learned a lot from Anne even though I never met her.

I have to say that Dan did not ask the following questions of me but I would like to share them. I am going to consider them Bonus questions. I do hope that you are able to learn a little bit more about myself from these questions and enjoy getting to know me from these questions and my answers.

Bonus Questions

1.) What five movies could you watch again and again ?

Answer : 1. The Lake House 2. You've Got Mail 3. Fracture w/Anthony Hopkins 4. Bridget Jones's Diary 5. XXX with Vin Diesel by the way I forgot to mention my top favorite movie of all time.......Dirty Dancing with Patrick Swayze

2.) Which do you prefer.....Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall ?

Answer : Fall. I say Fall because I enjoy the weather and seeing stores with their shelves stocked with Fall decorations.

That's about it for now. I do hope you enjoyed this. I'll talk to you again soon.

Good-night

News For Monday

Hello dear world

Good evening. Here in my neck of the woods its almost 10:30 at night. Anywho....how is everyone ? I am doing fine. I have a few things to share with you.

Of course today started another week at work for me which I probably told you already. Nothing much happened at work. I am happy to report that Atlanta's heat wave seems to have passed. It was a really pleasant day in Atlanta everyone at work agreed with me. There was even a nice cool breeze in my neighborhood. It was extremely hard being indoors today I must admit. It felt like Autumn had come sliding into my part of the world I lovvvvvvvved lovvvvvvvvved lovvvvvvvvvvved it !!!!!!! I sure hope the weather stays this while for a while.

In other news....today a new show came on Fox and it was called "K-Ville" which was shot entirely in New Orleans. If you get a chance you have to check it out. Here is the link for you ----> www.fox.com/kville/ . I must admit that I missing my other show "Bones". I sure hope that it will return soon or I might just have to not watch K-Ville. For now I will give it a chance. The show comes on Monday at 9:00pm. I just thought I would share that with you.

Enough of my news. How are things with you ? How are you doing this fine evening ? I hope you are enjoying it. I just thought I would pop in and say hello to you my dear world. I guess that's it for now.

I'll talk to you later. Nite nite

A Note To Share......

Hello dear world

Good evening. I don't know if there is a new moon tonight or if the stars are stirring up a little magic or perhaps I have been caught in a spell or maybe my romantic side is starting to open but I do have to share a few words with you.

Imagine this....

A rented room, a cubby hole. A place for a cowboy to hang his hat, kick off his boots, work on that elusive novel which relentlessly burdens his burning brain. Write. Think. Glance out the window at the sprawling, haphazard city. Churning ceiling fans & endless heat.

Late night haunts: clandestine cantinas on anonymous streets. Amber lanterns & colored lights, toxic veils of hazy smoke, noise & laughter & dancing & shamelessly brazen guitars. And soothing bottles of Mexican beer & copious tequila chasers.

And gringo cowboys absorbing the atmosphere, mellowing completely....

Did I go there ?? I wish. This was a trip shared by my favorite midnight cowboy over at Lone Star Concerto. Here is the place to go -----> http://journals.aol.com/jayveerhapsody/LoneStarConcerto/ . You might want to drop over but I have to warn you that you will find yourself wanting to go again and again and again and again and perhaps dance a little

and perhaps....a few things

A Sunday Update

Hello dear world

Good afternoon. How is everyone ? I thought I would come and share my day with you. Early this morning my folks and I and my nieces went to 9:00 a.m. mass at our church which you know is St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church. I thought you might want to know that after we have communion at our church we are given was is known as The Elijah Cup.

Here is the link to my church ----> www.stphilipbenizi.org/ there is also a picture of my church on the link if you want to see it.

What is the Elijah Cup ?? Well after communion the priest or the deacon calls a family, individual or a couple to the altar to receive the Elijah Cup which is a small cup that is a little smaller than the cup people drink wine from in church. The wine stands as Jesus's blood that he shared with the apostles at the Last Supper. Anywho...those who are given The Elijah Cup receive a blessing and they take it home and put it in a place of honor.

You might also want to know that a prayer journal also travels with the Elijah Cup. Each week the family, individual or couple that has the cup writes a thought, prayer or scripture verse for vocations to the priesthood, the diaconate and to the religious life. This week my family and I were given The Elijah Cup. The Elijah Cup is sitting on our mantel piece and the journal is sitting at the bottom of the mantel piece in front of the fireplace in which one of us will write a prayer or a thought we have for The Elijah Cup.

Do you have any such tradition my dear world ?

Later on my family and I went for breakfast at a place nearby called "The Waffle House". I ended up ordering a bacon and cheese wrap which is a flour tortilla wrapped around scrambled eggs and bacon, I also had hashbrowns which came scattered, smoothered and covered and chunked with onions, a slice of cheese and chunked with small bits of ham. I also had a chocolate chip waffle on the side covered with half melted chocolate chips on top which was good. My youngest niece was sitting next to me and she had a hamburger that she only likes with meat and lettuce and ketchup on the side. My oldest niece Jeanette who was sitting further down the counter at The Waffle House had a grilled cheese sandwich which she likes. I can tell you my dear world that our breakfast was pretty good.

After breakfast we got home and we changed clothes. At the moment my dad is watching the Atlanta Falcons football game. He isn't too happy at the moment about the way the game is going. He is a fan of sports so he watches a lot of the games.

Well that's about it for me and my news. How are things in your part of the world my dear world ? I hope that you are enjoying your Sunday. Tomorrow does start another week at work for me but I will be off again next weekend.

This weekend for me was nice. I hope yours was as well. That's all for now. I'll talk to you again soon.

Have a good one !!!!!!

A Movie Night

Hello dear world

How are all of you tonight ?? I have to say that I had an enjoyable movie night with my mom. Earlier this evening we went to our favorite hang out called "Blockbuster" here is the link for you ----> www.blockbuster.com/ .

I have two movies that I think you might like. One of the movies we saw was called "Fracture" with the very great actor Anthony Hopkins and my very favorite actor Ryan Gosling. I have to tell you that Fracture was a very interesting movie and it was filled with twists and turns up to the very end. My mom also loved it as I did. The other movie we saw was called "Wild Hogs" with John Travolta, Martin Lawrence, William H. Macy, Ray Liotta and many many more. I can tell you that Wild Hogs was a very funny movie all the way through. John Travolta, Martin Lawrence and William H. Macy kept the movie filled with lots of humor throughout the movie. My mom and I both enjoyed the movie. Our favorite however was Fracture and I think that I will end up buying it because we both would like to see it again.

Here are the movie links of the movies we saw :

Fracture -----> www.fracturemovie.com/

Wild Hogs -----> www.apple.com/trailers/touchstone/wildhogs/

We also rented another movie called "Crank" but we haven't seen it yet. Before we left the video store I did purchase the Blockbuster Rewards card because you get free movie rentals and other things with the card. By the way my dear world before we saw the movies we watched the previews and there was a movie on the previews called "Michael Clayton" with George Clooney that looked pretty good. I think if you get a chance you might want to rent that movie because it looked like a pretty interesting movie. I hope you get a chance to see some of these movies because I think you will enjoy them. You might also want to get some movie theater popcorn while your at the video store.

Let me know if you find a good movie that I might want to see. I always enjoy seeing a movie I haven't seen before. Feel free to post your movie suggestions in your comments. I'll be waiting !!!!!!

By the way how was your evening ??

I'll get back with you later.

Bye

I Love Shopping !!!!!!!!

Hello dear world

Its me again. I am happy to report that its a wonderful 81 degrees in my neck of the woods and I have a little bit of news that I want to share with you.

Anywho...earlier today my folks and I went for lunch at our favorite Mexican restaurant called "La Parrilla" which has the best Mexican food in town. There were some people there celebrating their birthdays and there was also one little boy there celebrating his birthday as well. As for me I was just there having lunch. What did I eat you might be wondering...well I had a monster taco and it was monster sized. My taco came with bits of chicken, lettuce, sour cream, tomatoes which I gave to my mom and a monster sized shell. I also had a orange drink with my meal. Along with my meal I had a side of avocado's to go with my taco. I can tell you that our lunch was good.

After lunch my folks and I went to do some shopping which was nearby La Parrilla. The store we went to is called "Belk" which is a store that we go to from time to time. My dad went to another store to get a fishing license. Me and my mom went into Belk's to look around but we did end up buying a few things. She picked up a pair of pants and a shirt and a pair of pajamas for a baby nephew of mine. As for me I picked up two really cute t-shirts I found in the men's department. One of the t-shirts has a black Labrador Retriever on it and the other one has a moon on it which I liked. I also picked up a couple of really cute fleece socks that I can wear around the house.

Here is the link ------> www.belk.com/ .

Yes my dear world I lovvvvvvvvvvvvve to shop. By the way Belk also had some Christmas decorations and ornaments that I looked at while I was in the store. While I was walking around many of the female cashiers kept running up to me asking me if they could ring me up because I was carrying some of my mom's stuff in my hands. It was like I was getting celebrity treatment but I told them no thank you because I was still looking around the store. You might also want to know that the shelves were also stocked with Halloweendecorations, purses, jewelry and other items. I spent over $50.00 in the store in one day.

On the way home my dear world we had noticed that some people had gotten into a car accident but luckily no one was hurt. The tow truck was there and so was a police officer taking care of the situation. I forgot to tell you that my mom and I made plans to go over to the video store to rent some movies, get some popcorn and make a night of it tonight. All in all that was my day. How has your Saturday been my dear world ???? What have you been up to ??? I hope you enjoy the rest of your day. I'll talk to you again soon.

Byyyyyyyyyye !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have a good day everyone !!!!!!

....And Down Came The Rain

Hello dear world

How is everyone ??? I hope you are all well. It was another busy busy busy busy busy day at work for me. You might not know this but all through the day we had clear skies at work. As I was leaving the doors of my work the dark clouds started to roll in more and more and guess what.......on my way home from work the sky opened up and an entire ocean came down and the rain came and came and came and came. The weather guy said that the rain we were getting was from storm Humberto. By the way my dear world how do they come up with the names of the storms ???

In other news...my mom and I had to hurry to fix dinner because we thought that the power was going to go out. She fixed some pieces of chicken in a pan and I got together a pot of water for some macaroni-n-cheese and I also fixed some pancake batter 3-cheese biscuits that were ready in 20 minutes. Our dinner got fixed and we ate and the power did NOT go out. A little while after we finished eating. Later on my oldest niece got home from school which luckily it had stopped raining.

My sister is off of work today so there's not much to do this evening so yes I took me a nice hot shower and I had decided to come and talk to you my dear world. Since its a friday my nieces don't have any homework and my oldest niece is out watching a school football game which she enjoys going to. My youngest niece is at the house with us and her mom and my dad is heading out to do security at a hotel he works at sometimes in the evening. My mom is in her room getting settled into bed. Basically this is how our evening at home has been this Friday evening.

Tomorrow my mom and I want to go out to see a movie at a new theater that just opened near our house but we don't know what movie we want to see. Our plans are not firmly established yet so I will let you know tomorrow. I have to say that I enjoy the weekends because I always find something fun to do. I'm sure tomorrow will be fun.

Anywho....how are things going on in your neck of the woods my dear world ? what are you up to tonight ?? Are you hanging at the house as I am ?? Ido hope you get a chance to enjoyyour weekend.

Well that's about it for now. I'll definitely get back with you later. Take care my dear world.

Sweet dreams !!!!!

Some New News....

Hello dear world

How are you today ???? I can report that I am feeling much better. The medicine I am on from the doctor is working and I am also taking some cough syrup from the drug store which is getting me better as well. I did head back to work which let me tell you has been keeping me a busy, busy, busy, busy, busy bee. You might also want to know that it was a very warm day in my neck of the woods. I am longing for the cooler temperatures to come. I am waiting for the sweatshirt weather. Where is it ?????

In other news I was reading the newspaper today which in my neck of the woods is the Atlanta Journal Constitution and do you know that it was filled with all kinds of depressing news about over 200 service members returning today to Iraq and Afghanistan over at the Atlanta Airport. I also read about a 20-year old woman who was held captive for a number of days. Apparently all kinds of things were done to the woman which really made me sad.

I just can't stand reading the paper much these days. It seems that the news gets worse and worse. Do you feel the same way my dear world ??

Of course I did get to come and visit you all. A few minutes ago I did go over to visit some journals which I have to share with you. Over at "The Wisdom of a Distracted Mind" journal there was a blog mentioned which I have to share with you but first ----> http://journals.aol.com/dpoem/TheWisdomofaDistractedMind/

and now ----> Jaden's Steamy Kitchen Blog

http://steamykitchen.com/blog/ There is a recipe for making a bread you might enjoy. You will enjoy it for sure so what are waiting for ???

I also went over for a visit at Dad's Tomato Garden Journal which is always heartwarming here is his link ---> http://journals.aol.com/white6416r/DadsTomatoGardenJournal/ .

You might want to go and visit with him and have a cup of coffee over at his journal. I also find that you will enjoy meeting him. Please do go over and say hello.

Last but not least how are things in your neck of the woods ? I hope all is well with you. I just wanted to pop in and say hi and let you know that I am doing better. Thank you all for thinking of me and wishing better health for me.Well....what else did I want to tell you ??????? what else ???? Oh yes, enjoy the rest of your week.

Byyyyyyyyyyye !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Quiet Moment....

Hello dear world

Good evening once again. I came upon a poem that I wanted to share with all of you. The poem was written by a woman named Marianne Boruch who is a writer who was written a couple of books of poetry. Marianne lives in Indiana and the poem I am going to share with you is about a bird's nest that she finds near her door. I hope you enjoy the poem and hopefully it finds you in a quiet moment of your own.

And now the poem....

Nest

I walked out, and the nest

was already there by the step, Woven basket

of a saint

sent back to life as a bird

who proceeded to make

a mess of things. Wind

right through it, and any eggs

long vanished. But in my hand it was

intricate pleasure, even the thorny reeds

softened in the weave. And the fading

leaf mold, hardly

itself anymore, merely a trick

of light, if light

can be tricked. Deep in a life

is another life. I walked out, the nest

already by the step.

-----Marianne Boruch

(c.) 1996

Did you like it my dear world ?

Good-night

I'm Back But Not Completely.....

Hello dear world

How are you all today ?? I have to tell you that I am sorry for not writing you lately I have been terribly terribly sick these last couple of days. I don't know if anyone saw that I wasn't around lately but I will tell you my news.

Thursday and Friday I called off sick from work because I have been most terribly sick from a really bad cough and a raw sore throat. Thursday I had to call in sick and Friday I called in sick but I did go to the doctor and I was prescribed some medicine at Kaiser. The doctor also took a throat culture but I haven't gotten the results yet. I was also given some medicine to take which I have been taken so I can work on getting better.

Anywho.....After going to the doctor with my mom on Friday we went for breakfast at Cracker Barrel to eat. You might want to know that the Cracker Barrel was having a porch sale outside which was nice. My mom and I saw a few things we liked. She picked up a teddy bear beanie baby that she liked and a little something for my dad's bird garden he has in the backyard. I picked up a little moose stuffed animal that I thought was cute which my mom bought for me. Let me explain why she bought me the moose...I have always liked the moose as an animal I don't really know why. I have other moose stuffed animals such as the one I bought at the Pro Bass Shop a few days ago which I told you about. There is just something I like about the moose it seems like a really interesting animal.

After we did the porch sale my mom and I went inside where she paid for the items we picked up. A few minutes later we went and sat down and we decided what we wanted to eat. I chose what was called "Momma's Pancake Breakfast" which consisted of 3 perfect sized pancakes, some strips of bacon, eggs which I ordered scrambled and we also got some biscuits. I can tell you that they have the best pancakes and maple syrup at the Cracker Barrel. While I was eating my stomach didn't want to agree with me but I did eat despite my stomach because I was hungry.

In my other news.....I know that this might sound awful but I didn't finish reading the one of the books I purchased called the "Jane Austen Book Club"  book because I started reading "Coming Undone" by Susan Andersen . The book "Coming Undone" is a romance between a country music superstar named Priscilla Jayne Morgan who had to fire her crooked-manager mom. Then her record label hired a watchdog to escort her on her massive summer tour who is named Jared Hamilton, the guy she once idolized more than anyone in the world. I really like the book and its hard to put down. I will definitely hate finishing the book. Here is the link ----> http://www.susanandersen.com/

Last night I still struggled with my illness and feeling like absolute crap crap crap crap crap !!!!!!!!!!

I have to tell you that last night I did see (2) great movies on television. One of the movies was called "Woman Wanted" with Holly Hunter and my favorite actor from the show "24" named Kiefer Sutherland. I can tell you that Kiefer was very great in the movie and his performance was amazing. I am glad I saw it. You have to see this movie my dear world !!!!!!!!!!!!

The other movie I saw was called "Infamous" which was a portrayal of the writer Truman Capote as he worked on his book "In Cold Blood". I have to say that the portrayal of Truman Capote was done wonderfully. It brought to life the killers in the book and it showed the killers and how Truman depicted them in the book. It also showed what Truman Capote was liked during that time. It was a really great movie and I have to say that I recommend this movie as I did "Woman Wanted".

Well that's enough about me and my news. How have you been doing my dear world ? I hope all you are doing better than myself. I will have to catch up with my journal reading because I haven't been online because of my sudden illness I have been suffering with. Hopefully I will recover from this soon. Its terrible when your sick. This illness of mine has been draining so if you don't hear from me in your journal its not that I am ignoring you its just that I am sick so please forgive my being away from you.

I will try to get back into the swing of J-Land soon I promise. I do hope that you are all chugging along. I will talk to you again later and hopefully I am much much better.

Here are two links I wanted to share with you ---->

I am sorry for my being away.

Do take care my dear world !!!!!!!!!!!

Update....

Hello dear world

Good evening !!!!!! How is everyone ?? Let me tell you my folks and I had a wonderful wonderful wonderful day. My nieces and their mother didn't go with us they went somewhere else.

Anywho....a few minutes ago we got back from the place we went too which is called "Discover Mills" malls here is a link ----> http://www.discovermills.com/ . I have to begin by saying that Discover Mills is a huge huge huge huge huge huge huge huge huge huge huge huge huge huge huge mall. The first place we went to was right at the entrance when we first walked in. The store was the "Bass Pro Shop" which my dad lovvvvvvvvvvved entirely. We spent quite a bit of time in the Bass Pro Shop because my dad wanted to look around in the store. He did purchase something there and I did as well but I will tell you about that later.

Later on we got into the mall which is connected to the Bass Pro Shop. We immediately went into the mall and let me tell you there are a thousand stores inside that its hard to decide which one to pick first. There is every kind of store you could ever imagine under one roof. There is an "Off Broadway" shoe store, a "Nine West Store" and there was even a "Medieval Times Dinner And Tournament" place where you can go in and watch knights joust. We didn't go inside though because we were too busy looking around and shopping. A few minutes later we went to a store called "The Earthbound Trading Company" which was a whole different type of place. Then we did look around at all the other stores which was fun. I can tell you that we went into a suit store which my dad loved too.

Then we went further into the store where we got to one of my favorite places in all the world. I saw a bookstore there called "Books-A-Million" which had every book you could ever imagine in the world. I did purchase some books there and some bookmarks as well. I purchased some books titled "Coming Undone" and one of the other books was called "The Jane Austen Book Club". By the way one of the book marks I bought had a picture of the writer HermanMelville and some information on the back of him and his writings. The books I bought I have never read before. Later on my mom came in and she picked up some things she wanted including a coin book to put some coins she has in the book and some books for my youngest niece to read. I bought the things my mom picked up and mine. Once I got to the register one of the guys who works in the store entered me on a discount since I had quite a bit of stuff.

Then we went walking some more through the store and I was quite thirsty so we eventually ended up at a "Chili's" which was located right in the mall. My dad and I had the same thing which was the Texas Cheese Fries but I didn't want jalapenos or bacon on mine but he did. We got our dinner and my plate had some jalapeno jack cheese which I didn't want so one of the ladies took it back and made me another plate of cheese fries which was quite good. My mom had one of their hamburgers which was cold so hers got taken bad and heated up and she liked it once it got heated up. My dad had a beer with his fries, my mom had a frozen margarita and I had a Mango Tea.

Later on we went into the mall again which was fun. My mom got ahead of us on a scooter she has and got to place where I said I had wanted some "Churros" which is filled with cinnamon and apple and they are served nice and piping hot.

While we were walking with our churros we went back to the Pro Bass Shop which was at the very end of our day which my dad was quite happy about. As my dad was walking around he found a fishing pole he wanted so he bought it and I purchased a Moose beany baby since the Moose happens to be one of my favorite animals. I also purchased a Moose bobble head which is quite cute.

All in all I can tell you my dear world my folks and I especially I had a wonderful day. My most favorite part of the mall was the bookstore which was a huge bookstore and I simply couldn't buy every book in the store sadly enough. I did have a great time and we plan to go back soon. I can't wait until next time.

So how was your day dear world ?? I know some of you stayed home and others that didn't stay home. I would really love to hear about your day. Once again I just thought I would come over and share my day with you.

I'm sure that I kept you long enough so I will say good-night for now. I'll talk to you again later.

Sweet dreams everyone !!!!

HAPPY LABOR DAY !!!!!!!!!!

Hello dear world

How is everyone today ?? I am doing quite well. The weather here is a little warm but the sky is a nice light shade of blue and I have plans today.

My family and I are planning to take a ride to the Discovery Mall in my neck of the woods which I am excited about. I can't wait to go there because we have NEVER been there. I can't wait to see all that's inside of the mall.

So what are you doing today my dear world ??? I want to hear about your day so please feel free to leave me a note and tell me all about it. I do hope you all enjoy the day as I'm sure I will.

I'll let you know how it was when I get back. Until then....

A Nice Day

Hello dear world

Good evening and how are you today ? I am doing better thank you. I wanted to thank you all for your kind words and advice about what happened recently. I wanted to tell you that the person who said something that wasn't nice about me was one of my cousins who is older than me and apparently he made the comment but I still don't know why. I will just have to ignore him and act like I didn't care about his comment. I don't think I will mention the comment he made about me to him because I just think that I will just forget about it but I will ignore him if I see him. Anywho...thank you all.

In other news I wanted to come by and share my day with you all. Earlier this morning me, my folks and both of my nieces went to 9:00 a.m. mass at our church Saint Philip Benizi. If you would like to see a picture of it go to this link -----> http://www.stphilipbenizi.org/ .

Later on after church we then went for breakfast at a place we like to go and eat at called "Denny's". For breakfast I had a dish called a meat lover's scramble which consisted of scrambled eggs mixed with pieces of bacon and sausage. I also had some hashbrown's and (3) buttermilk pancakes.

After we went for breakfast we then took a ride to our shopping store Walmart. While I was there I ended up purchasing some stickers, 2 books I wanted to read, a pack of postcards, 3 bracelets that my oldest niece wanted and a really nice journal that I can write in so I can share my entries with you my dear world and some chocolates with Kahlua and Bailey's Irish Cream filled centers.

You might also want to know that just a few minutes ago my family and I had dinner. My folks had some barbecue ribs with some sauce they like with potato salad and corn on the cob while I had a hamburger that my dad cooked on the grill which was quite good. Of course you might already know that I will be off of work tomorrow for Labor Day so I will be with my family again tomorrow. I am happy to report that the weather has been pretty nice in my neck of the woods for a change.

Well enough about me how are things going in your part of the world ? How is the weather where you are ? I hope you will get to enjoy the rest of your weekend as I am. Well that's about it for me and my news.

My dear world I came upon another journal that I didn't know about it until now and just when I found it the person is leaving. I just had to share the link with you I hope she doesn't mind.

Another Country Heard From -----> http://journals.aol.com/springsnymph/AnotherCountryHeardFrom/

I will get back to you later with more details.

So to be continued......

A Sad Note

Hello dear world

Good evening how are you ?? I hope you are all well. I have a little something to share with you. Recently someone that is related to me said something that wasn't at all nice about me to someone that I know but I don't know why. I haven't said anything about what was said about me to the person who is related to me. The thing is... what was said about me my dear world really upset me. I just don't know perhaps I should just laugh it off or ignore the person that is related to me. Maybe I should just forget it because what was said about me happened a few days ago. Its just that I have been thinking about. Am I wrong ? I just wanted to share my thoughts with you my dear world.

Anywho....how are things in your part of the world ?? I hope all is well with you my dear world. You will be happy to know that it didn't rain in my neighborhood today it was a rather nice cool day. I hope you got to enjoy your Saturday. By the way did you know that Saturday was named after Saturn ?? My youngest niece did a little assignment about Saturn and I found out that little piece of information.

That's about it for now. I'll talk to you again soon. Take care everyone !!!
