Wonderful Finds.........

Hello Dear World......

I have good news........Here in Atlanta, Georgia Autumn has finally come and I love it. The wind is cool and crisp and the leaves are slowly changing. I love this time of year it has a feeling to it. I always enjoy this time of year it is such a wonderful change of season. Autumn is like reading a Robert Frost poem....its that great.

On a even happier note I came upon some wonderful journals that I feel should be read immediately. The first journal that I recommend is titled "Looking beyond the Cracked Window......" Here is the link for this great piece of writing........ http://journals.aol.com/jouell3935/Haveyoulostyourmind/

There was another journal that I found. The journal is titled "Tidbits". This journal has interesting writing and what I call amazing intense poetry. The poetry in this journal is a must read for all poetry lovers and those who simply love to read. Here is the address that will get you there without having to search endlessly for it........ http://journals.aol.com/octoberroots/Tidbits/

I also found a great journal that I think you will certainly enjoy dear world. All you need to know is that its titled "Autumn Songs". As you read through Autumn Songs you will find the most amazing poetry you could ever imagine. I found a few poems I certainly enjoyed.....My favorites were poems titled.....

Cinnamon Ghosts, I Am and Lost Poem just to name a few. You will find favorites I'm sure as I did.

On a completely different note I am a fan of the singer John Mayer. My favorite song is "Your Body Is A Wonderland". I have always wanted to go toone of his concerts but there's no one to go with or anyone who would enjoy it like I do. So the official John Mayer site is just as nice. I'll leave the address of the site in case you would like to know more. Here is a link......... www.JOHNMAYER.com

Secret.....

Good evening Dear World......

The weather here is finally changing for the better. The days are getting cooler and Autumn seems right around the corner.

On a separate note I saw the title of the Round Robin challenge "Secrets". I have a secret of my own......I do have a little bit of a crush on a guy at my job. The guy has absolutely no feelings for me at all. He is a really nice looking guy but there is already someone in his life. When we talk its usually good morning and how are you and how are things.I have always wanted to talk to him more but I know that would be wrong. He is an extremely nice guy. I do have a crush on this guy but I have never said it out loud.

How can I like someone who doesn't like me ?

You probably think I'm a little weird but there it is.

You, dear world, are the only ones I have told this to.........Good night dear world......Sleep well.....................

Something You Might Not Know.......

Hello Dear World......

Jeannette of "Jeannette's Jottings" keeps a very interesting collection. What you might not know is that I also keep a collection. What do I collect...you wonder ?? Well here is the answer........Buttons. Yes you heard me right I collect buttons. I collect all kinds of buttons. Some buttons I have are animal shaped, some of them have words on them and others are the color of pearls.

I go to fabric stores and buy them, others are ones that I might find at work and others are ones that I find on the floor of a bank. I am a really huge fan of collecting buttons.

Do you collect things dear world ? Do you have a huge collection of one something that you would like to tell me about........Feel free I would like to hear all about it. Thank You.

I Have To Break My Own Rules.......

Hello Dear World........

As you might already know today I'm going to have to break my own rules. I had promised that I would never bring up anything political but today I have to so you might have to allow me this one time to break a rule.

First of all I have to say that Gov. Sonny Perdue was a little on the wrong path to shut down schools. It was reported that he was worried that Hurricane Rita might have caused shortages of gasoline and diesel fuel. News that Hurricane Rita posed a serious threat to the nation's fuel production but oddly enough the news didn't even reach his office until about 2p.m. Friday which seems a little strange in my opinion.

My thing is that Gov. Sunny Perdue doesn't think about working people such as myself. I have to say that its especially hard for those of us who have to get back and forth to work which of course means having to pay for gas. If Gov. Perdue really wants to save fuel he needs to think about the many working individuals such as people like me who are out and about getting to work. The many people like myself find that its hard to save fuel.

Gov. Perdue doesn't seem to care all that much about fuel conservation because he doesn't think about individuals such as myself and other hard working people.

I happen to be a young voter and I say that because I am reminded that  Gov. Sunny Perdue faces re-election next year so in the next re-election he probably won't be getting my vote when the time comes. Gov. Perdue should have taken into consideration the working public at a diffucult time like this when he thought of wanting to conserve fuel. I could be wrong but I just had to state my thoughts on this matter.

Once more I'm sorry for talking about something of a political nature and I shall try never to do it again in the future.

I'm sure that I will be back to my normal self again tomorrow I promise. For now good night dear world.........Sweet Dreams !!!!

P.S. Just a few minutes ago I heard the news that a fellow journaller named Promise has cancer. Please drop by her journal and leave a few heartfelt thoughts in her journal. I'm sure she will appreciate your kind words. Her journal is titled "Promise's Journal".....Here is a link ---------->

Thoughts

Hello dear world.......

I was reading a journal that I liked from the very beginning and I find that I really have come to enjoy the journal One-Way Passage more and more as I read the journal. The writer recently wrote an entry titled "Written on Friday Night" which really touched me. I find that his words are beautiful, poetic and romantic. I can't explain what draws me to this journal except that this journal fills me with longing to read his journal again and again. His journal is far better than anything Robert Waller could ever write. His journal is also filled with romance and poetry. His journal is written in a beautiful and haunting manner which keeps me coming back to read more and more of his writing.

I can't wait to go back and read the journal One-Way Passage again because it has become a favorite part of my reading. This journal deserves to be called " A Perfect Poem" instead of a journal entry. This isn't just a journal its a classic..........

Drop by and fall in love with the words of the Midnight Cowboy as I have........

A Little Bit Of A Scare.......

Good evening world.........

I acted silly today. Today I was out doing yard work when I came upon a spider which was half the size of my thumb which scared the daylights out of me. Then something else scared me almost to the point that I was jumping out of my skin. A frog jumped on my arm which scared me silly. I have watched the Discovery Channel and heard stories of frogs being poisonous. I was informed that it WASN't poisonous thank goodness.

Then something amazing happened........While I was holding up the hose to water the lawn some butterflies came under the hose. It was as if they were enjoying the water. I don't know the official name of these butteflies but they were beautiful. I have NEVER seen butterflies that close before. I loved seeing the butteflies it was better than the spider and the frog............

On a different note its not quite AUTUMN here in Georgia. The leaves are still brown and falling from the trees. I can't wait until AUTUMN........Anyway that's how my day went. I hope everyone had a great day...........

Good night all..........Sweet Dreams

Bones.......

Hello dear world......

Here is a little note about myself you might not know...Usually when it comes to television I am a huge fan of certain shows - West Wing, Law & Order, Law & Order: SVU and CSI.

Recently a new show has come on FOX. The show is called "Bones" which stars my favorite actor David Boreanaz who once played a vampire named Angel. The show also stars an actress named Emily Deschanel.

David plays a character named Seeley Booth who is a special agent with the FBI's Homicide Investigations Unit. Seeley is also a Former Army Sniper.

Emily plays a character named Dr. Temperance Brennan who is a highly skilled forensic anthropologist who works at the Jeffersonian Insitution & who also writes novels as a sideline.

This show makes me forget all about my other favorite shows. David Boreanaz is a huge part of why I watch the show. David is really nice looking guy. "Bones" is a show both funny and interesting. The characters play their parts well and there's lots of twists and turns.

Dear world.....If you find that you have nothing to do at home on Tuesdays at 8:00 p.m. then turn to FOX and watch "Bones". You will certainly enjoy the show I guarantee it.........

Before I say good night does anyone have a favorite show they would like to share with me........I would like to know.

Good night dear world.......Sweet Dreams

A Recent Reading......

Good evening dear world......

I was reading a journal titled "501 East Mount Vernon Street" and it left me........Wondering.

What I'm about to say is NOT filled with anger. I am more puzzled than anything by the journal and the writer himself. I have been a faithful reader to the journal more times than I count. The thing is the writer wonders why he continues his journal and for whom he continues his journal for. I comment on the journal but its like this writer doesn't listen to his faithful readers as he asks that question in his journal. I have to wonder if he hears his readers ? I wonder if he hears me ? I wonder if I'm wrong in this.......

Am I wrong dear world ???? I am thinking of no longer reading this journal because it doesn't seem to be that the writer of this journal  has any thought about the fact that I'm listening......Does he see that his readers care ????

To the writer of 501 East Mount Vernon Street.........Are You Listening ???? Are You Listening At All ?????/

Here's the link to the journal---------------> http://journals.aol.com/eastmtvernonstrt/501EastMountVernon/

My Day....

Hello dear world.....

Today at my job we got a little taste of California. What do I mean by that...Let me explain. In half of the building where I was working to be exact we had a power outage which lasted for pretty much half of the day. The building I work in consists of 4 floors....a 1st floor, a 2nd floor, a 3rd floor and a 4th floor. Yesterday half of California had a power outage. The good thing is we have a little office at my job which so we lit some candles for a while my coworkers and I took a break on the 1st floor. Once our break was over we went to work in the dark which lasted up until the afternoon.

I can't tell you why there was a power outage dear world I don't know what caused it. I kept thinking of a million different reasons for the problem : The President needed to check the power in the area, electricity malfuncted and drained the energy in offices and restaurants, a rather huge 747 hit a power line. Just when my mind was filled with enough ideas to write over a 1,000 novels of intrigue, espionage and power outages the power was restored and I went back to work...... That in a small nut shell was my day.

As you can see I'm no John Grisham by far.....

P.S. On one final note Jeannette of Jeannette's Jottings pointed out a journal that you might want to check out for future reference - Random Thoughts. Here is a link ------------> http://journals.aol.com/memes121/RandomactsRamblings/

One of her journal entries talked about Jeannette herself. I agree with Tammy who is the writer of the journal : Random Thoughts. I think that Jeannette is a very wonderful and sweet lady. She welcomed me to J-Land and she made me feel right at home here with many of you. Many times she was kind enough to offer me much wonderous advice and has kept me a permanent resident down here in J-Land. You might just want to check out Jeannette's Jottings for yourself.

Good - night all.......Sweet Dreams

Just Thoughts.....

Good evening world....

Tonight there was a wonderful new show on television called "Bones" which had David Boreanaz on it and let me tell you he was great in the show. This show will be one that should NOT be missed.

There was another show on television tonight called "Supernatural". The show had the great looking guy who used to be on the show "Gilmore Girls". The show will come on every Tuesday at 9:00 p.m. It was quite scary and it had scenes in it that had me literally jumping out of my skin. I can't wait to see it again it might be somewhat spooky but its rather great I think.

Don't get me wrong dear world....I have watched the news about Louisiana which makes me feel rather sad most times but I just have to get away from the news for a while. Its getting hard to listen to the news and see pictures of Louisiana. Once in a while I just have to decompress from the news and enjoy something that makes me laugh or just plain scared with something that has nothing to do with reality at least once in a while.

I will get back to my regularly scheduled programming of news watching soon but I'm just taking some time off from the latest updates from Louisiana. In other news I did come upon some rather interesting journals. One is called "Welcome to my travels". Here is a link ----------> http://journals.aol.co.uk/jlocorriere05/Welcometomytravels

I also came upon another fascinating read titled "Bee's Shutter".Here is a link to the journal -------------> http://journals.aol.com/redbaranjj/BeesShutter/

I just hope that you enjoy reading these as I have.......To those of you who have come and left me many wonderful comments ---------------> THANKS FOR EVERYTHING !!!!

Good night dear world.......SweetDream..........

Feeling Blah.........

Just Hi.......

Here's how I feel ----------------> yucky and blah. I know that many of the people in New Orleans like my relatives would say that I am lucky in that I haven't lost everything I have and more. The people in New York would say that I haven't lost a loved one in the tragedy of September 11th but when I hear the news of what the people in New Orleans have had to go through as well as the people in New York who lost a loved one I am filled with grief. There have been many tragedies and upsetting news of all that the people in New Orleans and New York have gone through. Its hard turning on the television every day and listening to all that has happened. I wish I could just turn off the television and the radio for a while and just pretend that nothing has happened but its not that simple.

All I can say is.................uuuuuuuhhhhhh

Will the world ever be okay again ? I'm not looking for an answer tonight I'm just sending this question out into the cosmic void.

So good - night dear void

Thankful.....

Good evening dear world........

I just have to say thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you to a great number of individuals who have included me in their journal entries and you know who you are. THANKS TO THOSE WONDERFUL INDIVIDUALS !!!! I would like to say that those people are truly wonderful kind souls. I have really come to find that its nice being here in Journal Land. Once again THANKS TO YOU ALL FOR THAT GIFT....YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE. I am getting to see that the people here at Journal Land should be given a round of applause..... YYYYYYEEEAHHHH!!!

That's all for now dear world good - night......Sleep well

Regrets.......

Good evening dear world.......

Do you ever find that you have regrets about something you didn't do ? Why am I asking......well let me explain. At 6:30 p.m. my 14- year - old niece left for a homecoming dance at her high school in a floor length burgundy dress looking more like a grown up than I probably ever will. I looked at her in her dress and I saw a young girl who had blossomed into a very beautiful young lady. At that moment I got to thinking.......probably not a good thing right ?

My regret is this......I never went to any activities at my high school the entire time I went to high school. Looking back I wish that I would have went to things like the homecoming dance and the prom. I also never tried to make any friends with anyone that I went to high school with and so no one ever tried to become friends with me. I really had  thought that the the activities weren't going to be fun which looking back now I can see that I was really wrong.

So you see dear world why I ask the question. Do you have any regrets you would like to share. Your not the only one with regrets by far.

On a completely different note a woman named Joanne recently started a journal titled "Joanne's Journal". Drop by her journal and say hello to her she will appreciate it I'm sure. Here is the link to her journal -

http://journals.aol.co.uk/stijoan/joannesjournal/

Something New.....

Hello dear world......I have something to tell you. What I have to say might sound critical so bear with me.....

Mr. Jesse Jackson was at the Clayton County Courthouse today. He delivered a speech which I disagreed with. He spoke words of rescue and reunification. He also spoke that people should give money to the Rainbow Coalition. The problem I have with his speech is this. After the second day in New Orleans after the hurricane people were begging for food and water and for help Mr. Jackson was nowhere to be seen. When people were also being taken to the Astrodome Mr. Jackson was also nowhere to be seen or heard. Now when the last of the people are being taken out of New Orleans he has something to say and quite a bit of that has to do with being in front of the camera. When cameras are rolling Mr. Jackson has tons to say. When the hurricane hit New Orleans Mr. Jackson wasn't around to hear what the victims of the hurricane had to say.

Mr. Jackson did rescue people out of Iraq a while back. He didn't run to rescue people out of New Orleans. I feel that it isn't right for Mr. Jesse Jackson to step up in front of cameras and make a speech about recent events. He steps in front of a camera when he could have been trying to help a lot sooner.

People like Harry Connick Jr. stepped up to the plate and helped rescue people in boats without giving it a second thought. Mr. Jesse Jackson could have been a bigger help in the beginning of this horrible tragedy in my opinion.

This is all my opinion I don't mean to speak quite so critical but I feel that Mr. Jackson's appearance wasn't needed at this time. Am I wrong for feeling this way dear world ? I don't think that Mr. Jackson was sincere about things in my opinion. Mr. Jackson could step away from the flash of cameras and take the time to work behind the scenes which would show me that he is sincere about helping those who are suffering from the effects of Hurricane Katrina.

Perhaps I am wrong but I just have to speak my feelings about today's events. Please understand that this is all my opinion and nothing more. If you feel that I am wrong I would really like to hear your thoughts on this........Thank You

For now good evening dear world.....

One Amazing Day......

Once more hello dear world........I had to drop in and see how you were doing.

This was a most wonderful Monday I must say it couldn't have been any better. Today my 14 - year old niece needed a particular book for school so my family and I went to a few bookstores in search of this book she needed titled "Oedipus the King". It turns out that Barnes and Noble, Media Play and WaldenBooks in the mall didn't have it. Apparently this book is getting bought left and right. In the end we ordered it online and it will get shipped to us.

I, on the other hand bought a book of poetry and ( 2 ) journals that I really liked for which I can't wait to get writing in them. I happen to like book stores, the smell of books as you step into a book store and the feel of the bindings on a book as you lift it off of a shelf. I am a avid book reader as you might have noticed. I really have fallen in love with Barnes and Noble its a huge book store with more books than anyone could ever imagine. Barnes and Noble carries shelves and shelves of books far more than any calculator could ever count in a thousand years.

A perfect dream would have to be : To be locked in Barnes & Noble for a week or better yet a month or two.

Yes dear world this was a perfect, perfect day......

More News.......

Good evening dear world......Today my family and I heard from more of our relatives. I have a little more good news. More of my relatives are safe and sound in a place called Franklin, Tenn. They were flown out there by helicopter after spending 2 days on a bridge in New Orleans, Louisiana. My relatives are doing well and they are without injury thank goodness. I can tell you that I have been watching more people being evacuated hour by hour on CNN.

Some of you might not know this but I have been keeping a hand-written journal which has been flooded with many of my depressive and angry thoughts since Hurricane Katrina happened. I have written about the many people who have been rescued as well as those who have died in the Hurricane who will forvever be in my prayers.

Its just that now I feel that I am coming out of my thoughts which have been filled with  sadness and with anger over all that has happened. I  know that the people in Louisiana will never forget what happened to them for years to come as I never will but they are all quite strong and will overcome all of this.

Recently my mom has reminded me that I can't linger in my grief over what happened. In the last couple of days I have been upset and filled with tears and anger which seem to be fading more and more. Though I will continue to pray for the people of Louisiana, my relatives and the victims who didn't survive this horrible tragedy.

The thing is dear world I feel that it is time for me to move on from all of this hurt that has been deep down inside of me. I know that the people of Louisiana including my relatives will bounce back from this and the city of Louisiana will be stronger when it is rebuilt and brought back to life once more.

I am filled with hope

For now good - night dear world tomorrow will certainly be a different day. Sleep Well.......

Good News....

Good evening dear world...As some of you may know I had relatives living in the New Orleans area but I didn't get to hear from them until today. Want to hear the good news ??

Are you on the edge of your seats ??

Can't you just feel the excitement bubbling ??

I'll keep you waiting......just kidding ha,ha, ha.Okay dear world I have kept you waiting long enough here it is. My relatives are doing great. They got out of New Orleans on the first buses. My relatives are in Houston not at the Astrodome though. They are at a hotel in Houston and a little shaken up but otherwise doing great. Everyone got out and they are alive thank goodness. I am happy to hear they are okay so there is a little good news in the middle of all this tragedy. I just hope that the others are doing fine as well.....

On a different note I'm doing better. I really wish that I could do something huge for the people in New Orleans. The people hopefully will be fine in the end I just don't know. The people there are in my prayers always.

How is everyone else in the world holding up I wonder ?  I am just hoping that you are okay dear world.......

Until we talk again dear world sleep well and sweet dreams as always.........

HELLO AGAIN.....

Hello dear world....

Recently I was ill and yes I went to the doctor on Monday after work. I have a little bit of muscle strain but I am taking medication and I am getting better.....That's enough about me.

I have been watching the news and reading the newspaper. All that has happened in New Orleans has left me quite sad and shook up. I still have relatives down there but we have not heard from them. I hope they are okay and out of harm's way. I still can't believe what's happened down there. I wish it were all a bad dream that I could wake up from but I know I can't. I hope the people are able to get food, water, supplies and the medical care that they all need. This has been quite a time for the people in New Orleans I'm sure. My thoughts and prayers are with them. I hope tomorrow is better for all of them.......

On a different note Jeannette of Jeannette's Jottings pointed out some journals that I wanted to share with you dear world.....One is titled.......Gemmast25
