Update....And Some News

Hello everyone

Good evening all !!!! How is everyone today ? I hope you are all well. I have had a nice weekend at the house. I was off of work on Friday because I had a personal day so I had to take a day off of work.

I do want to give a little notice to a dear friend Jeannette that I haven't mentioned in a while and I want to give her a little bit of the spot light to. Here is her link to her journal that I think you should check out and say hello to her while you are there. Here is her link -----> http://outsidelookingin-jeannette.blogspot.com/ . You might also notice a little special birthday announcement for a young man named Nathan that you might want to say "Happy Birthday" to. Do pop over and say hello to my dear friend Jeannette and her family. Thank you.

Anywho.....I was thinking I didn't want to talk about certain events but since its all over the news and on the internet I thought that I would go ahead and talk about the news. As everyone might know the actress Farrah Fawcett died of Cancer at the age of 62. The other news is that the singer Michael Jackson also died recently. I do want to offer my condolences to the family and friends of both Farrah and Michael after such loss.

My thing is there has been other news that no one is really talking about such as the train wreck which occured in Washington, D.C. recently. Jeanice McMillan was one of nine people killed when her train under automatic computer control apparently failed to register a signal and avoid a collision with a train that had stopped near a curve between two stations. The head of Washington's mass transit system praised Jeanice as a hero as the driver when her train struck another that was parked on the tracks.

In other sad news a 7-year-old boy was severely beaten by his dad on Father's day in Worcester, Massachusetts. Nathaniel was declared brain dead Tuesday after his father Leslie Schuler allegedly slammed Nathaniel's head against a wall so hard that it left a dent in the wall at Schuler's home in Massachusetts.

Schuler and his live-in girlfriend are being charged with assault, but authorities said that they are conducting a murder investigation. Results of an autopsy performed Saturday morning are expected in a few weeks.

Nathaniel lived most of his life with his maternal grandmother in Eufala, Ala. but had been living with his father since Memorial Day. I do hope that the father of Nathaniel is locked up behind bars for the rest of his life for what he did to Nathaniel.

It is sad to think what a father could do to his son. I am saddened by such news as this. I do hope that Nathaniel's father is given the proper punishment for what he did to Nathaniel. It is such to think that such violence could be inflicted upon such a young boy as Nathaniel.

Why is it that the world has continue to focus on the death of Michael Jackson and on Farrah Fawcett when such news as a young boy is killed by his father and why is it that the train wreck in Washington D.C. is not the head lines on the news ??? Why is it ???

What do you think dear world ? Am I wrong ????

A Great Day....At The Museum

Hello everyone

Good evening all !!!!!!!! How is everyone ? I hope you are all well. I have such news for you today. I have to say that I had a nice day today and I will tell you why.

Of course today was another day at work for me and it was extremely warm today in Atlanta, Georgia. Later in the evening my mom and dad and I went to the High Museum of Art. My niece's stayed home with their mother.

I have to say that the High Museum of Art in Atlanta was wonderful. It was our first time going to the museum. I liked going to see all of the painting's and exhibit's there.

My favorite part was the Claude Monet exhibit where we got to see his famous "Water Lilies" which I thought was amazing. Did you know that he used layer upon layer of paint and then he scraped away the paint to get the desired effect he wanted in his paintings. His painting's are amazing. I also got to see some of the painting's from the Louvre which was nice.

At the museum they had some furniture on exhibit. They also had what they call contemporary art which consisted of some plates of glass stacked together and some piles of wood propped together in a room at the museum. I didn't get the contemporary art.

We had a great time and before we left we did pick up some souvenir's from the museum gift shop on the way out. Here is the link ----> http://www.high.org/ . After the museum we went to a place we like called "Just Loaf'N" which is a Cajun New Orleans restaurant we like in Atlanta. The food is always good and we like to eat there from time to time.

So my dear world how was your day today ? I hope that all is well in your neck of the woods. I do hope that you all have a really nice weekend.
***You will notice the picture of me and my mom at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta. I am wearing the light blue shirt in the picture. I hope you like the picture. ***

Take care

News....

Hello everyone

Good evening all !!!! I am sure you have given up on me since you haven't heard from me in a while. I am still around, still kicking and all is well with me.

Anywho...in the news recently a gunman whose name I won't mention since he doesn't deserve any fame or glory made his way to the entrance of the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum and he shot and killed a security guard named Stephen Tyrone Johns.

Steven the security guard at the museum opened the door for the guy without knowing he had a rifle. Before the gunman entered the museum, he pointed his gun at Johns heart and pulled the trigger. Steven later died at the hospital. I think that it is truly sad what happened at the museum. It is a shame that such hatred still exists in the world.

In other news at my work everyone will have to be hit by a 2-day furlough without pay. It doesn't seem like the money problem in the county in which I live is getting any better. I think that it would be right to see the commissioner take a furlough like we will have to but I am doubtful that will happen.

Today at 9am this morning I went and had my long hair cut and I do like it since it is short. I also got some highlights put in it which I also like. The lady does hair wonderfully. I am sure that I will go to her from now on. Today was the first time I went to her to do my hair and her price was amazing.

Later in the day my family and I went to Kohl's where we took back the food processor I bought for my mom. She ended up liking the mini food processor they had and so I got it for her. I also got my niece Jeanette a wallet she liked. I also bought myself a pair of blue and green dragonfly earrings I liked.

After Kohl's we went to JoAnn's where I bought some stickers for my youngest niece Megan and some stikcers for myself as well. Later after shopping at JoAnn's we went to eat at La Parrilla Mexican restaurant. The food is always good there.

So my dear world how are you doing lately ??? How are things in your neck of the woods ?? I do hope that all is well. Did anyone miss me any ???

P.S. I shall return
