My Pick for Worst Dressed and Best Dressed at the Oscars

Hello and good evening here I am again as usual. I wasn't going to comment on the Oscars but I decided that I wanted to pick the "Worst Dressed" and "Best Dressed" from the Oscars and I also wanted to include it all in this new entry.

For starters my first pick for worst dressed woman at the Oscars was Ziyi Zhang who wore a black Monique Lhuillier gown. I thought that the dress looked quite a bit transparent and it didn't look good on her at all. My other pick for worst dressed woman I feel sad to say is Cate Blanchett who wore a lemon Valentino gown set off with a chocolate bow. I didn't feel that the color was right for her. My other pick for worst dressed woman was Natalie Portman who wore a Art-Deco style Lanvin gown with a sparkling headband. I really thought that the straps were going to fall off her shoulders and it didn't look like she filled out the dress in the right ways. The dress looked a little too old for Natalie Portman. My other pick for worst dressed woman at the Oscars has to go to Halle Berry who wore a Atelier Versace gown. The gown on Halle didn't fit her the way it should have. The dress didn't show off her body as some of her other dresses that she has worn and looked nice in. Another one of my picks for worst dressed woman at the Oscars was Laura Linney. I felt that the dress and her hair didn't suit her for the Oscars. I just felt that her hair looked a little too strict and hard fora lady that always seems to look beautiful.

On the other hand my first pick for best dressed woman at the Oscars goes to Hilary Swank who was dressed to impress in a backless midnight-blue Guy Laroche gown which was perfect for someone of her height. The dress made her look glamorous and beautiful without going over the top. My next pick for best dressed woman at the Oscars was of course Renee Zellweger who glowed from head to toe in a crimson strapless Carolina Herrera gown. She was the epitome of beautiful in her gown as any woman at the Oscars could have. Last but not least my other best dressed woman at the Oscars was Catalina Sandino Moreno who turned out in a Roberto Cavalli gown which was truly stunning and amazing in her gown. She deserved an award just for the perfectly picked gown.

My pick for worst dressed man goes to Antonio Banderas who looked a little out of style for the Oscars. My other pick for worst dressed man goes to Robin Williams with a raspberry colored shirt and barely there tie. He looked like he was going to some wild halloween party in a suit. Another pick for worst dressed was Johnny Depp who looked like he was going to a costume party instead of to a special Hollywood event. My last pick for worst dressed man was Jeremy Irons who happened to looked like he was heading to a funeral instead of an event where awards were going to be given.

Though I have to say that my pick for best dressed man at the Oscars goes to Usher for showing up dressed in pure glamour. My other pick for best dressed man is Clive Owen who looked very stylish and gorgeous. Clive was definitely dressed to the 9's. Of course my other pick for best dressed man in my personal opinion was definitely Pierce Brosnan who always tends to show up at events such as the Oscars looking like the front page of G.Q. magazine. Pierce always looks like the cover of a magazine without missing a beat.  I have to say that sick or not Pierce Brosnan himself certainly deserved an award just for looking the very part of perfection personified. Last but definitely not least my absolute pick for best dressed man was Prince who showed up looking more than handsome and stylish as he has ever been. Prince knew what to wear and how to wear it. Prince is the very essence of how a man should always look and dress. Prince deserves an award for always dressing in style and dressed as no man ever could. More men should follow in his footsteps.

Need I say more ????? Congratulations to all the winners and to those who didn't win look at it this way there's always next year.  P.S. Chris Rock was funny and wonderful at the Oscars in my opinion he certainly showed that he is and always will be a very talented comedian.

On a more serious note I read that Jessica Lunsford is still missing. I really hope that police officials will find her. I hope that she is found safe and sound and returned to her family as soon as possible. I hate to hear news of young children who have gone missing it just breaks my heart. I hope and pray for her safe return. Until we meet again good night dear diary.....

Saturday's News

Dear Diary,

Hello here I am again. Well it was quite a morning and let me tell you why. First of all I went to a MS lecture with my mom, dad and one of my nieces at the Shepherd Medical Center. It turned out to be a couples seminar it wasn't an event for anyone but couples. Women for example were saying things like "I met this wonderful guy who is now my husband when we first met I just melted. Who talks like that ? I heard women talk like that and I wanted to run SCREAMING !!! out of the room. The men were even worse saying things like "My wife is the only person that I have loved more than anything." These people were talking of being married and being sooooooo in love. Couples talked of meeting for the first time, kissing for the first time and dating for the first time. It didn't feel like a seminar it felt like a couples recruitment event. Honestly being in the room and being a single female I felt like some unknown life form from another planet. Could it be that I overreacted ???? Good night dear diary.

Interesting Fact

Dear diary here's a question for you -- Which snack food first hit theaters around the mid 1920's which has also been every movie theaters staple ? If your still unsure , its popcorn...yes popcorn.

Popcorn along with women all over the world is getting an extreme makeover of its own. Popcorn will soon come in flavors from sugary sweet to lip-burning spicy. Usually the only ingredients found on popcorn was butter and salt that is, until recently. Today popcorn has more flavors than Baskin-Robbins has ice cream. People are dressing up popcorn with cheese, nuts, dried fruits, marshmallows, caramel and even chocolate. Popcorn now comes in pesto, milk chocolate, cinnamon and five-spice. Pretty soon people will be going to the movie theaters just for the popcorn and not just for the movie, imagine that dear diary..... The question is what's next I wonder ???

In Reply To A Column in the Atlanta Journal Constitution

Hello here I am again as usual. Today in the Atlanta Journal Constitution a guest columnist Neil Bradley wrote a column titled "Requiring photo ID's infringes on voters" which made me a little mad. I read that elected officials introduced earlier this month Senate Bill 84 which requires poll workers to turn away any voter without a photo identification, with absolutely no exceptions. I think that the elected officials who voted for the bill are just as ridiculous as the bill itself. I don't think that Senate Bill 84 is sensible at all. There is no evidence that voter fraud, which the bill is supposedly trying to remedy, actually exists. The Senate Bill makes voters like myself quite upset.

The Senate Bill might as well be written as follows : All registered voters shall be treated as terrorists by poll workers under laws enforced by elected officials. Voters like me already carry photo identification to the polls. The thing is voters such as myself shouldn't have to feel like a common criminal just to go to the polls to vote. Not only do I feel that the candidates who run for political office aren't interested in my vote but Senate Bill 84 gives voters like me another reason not to want to vote in the first place.

Elected officials should take that under advisement and follow the spirit of the "Hippocratic Oath": "First do no harm". If only elected officials were trusting of voters like me then perhaps I would also be more than eager to go to the polls and vote without hesitation.

A Day of Too Much Perfection

Dear Diary first things first hello good evening. As you can tell I'm extremely happy to say the least. I woke up feeling great today which is obvious. Well I was off of work today and I went and had my taxes done. Today was a nice day to be outside because the sky was all blue. It was a pretty day and I didn't get much done. I didn't even contribute to the gross national product. I had a day of too much perfection and I think that's pretty great to me don't you think dear diary ??? I didn't come to you complaining or whining about my life. Today I just feel good almost like Spring is blooming inside of me is that possible ????? Good night for now dear diary good night good night good night.

Thoughts for VALENTINES DAY

Dear Diary, good evening. Well here I am again for the millionth or so time. Another VALENTINES DAY rolls around and I'm still "SINGLE" which perhaps comes to no surprise. Stores filled with candles, balloons, pens and candies decorated with red hearts and I Love You's are being ravished to pieces by men and women buying this and that for that very special and certain someone. Its different for single people such as myself to enjoy such an occasion. Its really kind of sad to think that I would go and buy something for myself on such an occasion as VALENTINES DAY but there you have it. It seems like I have been single like forever. I feel like I'm the only single woman on the planet. It must be sickening to have to listen to my constant whining and complaining dear diary but what can you do ? This is getting to be an endless routine of telling you that I'm single but its a fact of my life. There's got to be something wrong with me dear diary I just don't know. I'm 28 years old and I have NEVER had a boyfriend is that weird or what ?? Maybe I should drown my sorrows in a huge box of chocolates and listen to some really angry music now there's an idea wouldn't you say dear diary ?

Notes For Friday

Good evening dear diary here I am....again. Well in a few more days it will be Valentines Day. The thing is I have a crush on a guy at work I'm not going to tell you his name because that would be revealing a bit much all at once. The guy that I have a crush on is a really great nice looking guy. He is super charming and nice. He has an incredible smile. Just being able to talk to him is nice. He doesn't know that I have a crush on him. He doesn't have a clue that I feel this way which is pretty sad to say the least. Why am I like this ??? I've had a crush on him like forever. I can't believe I'm told you this dear diary but I can't help it. I must be some alien from a distant planet. Good night dear diary.

New Thoughts

Good evening. I know that I haven't come to talk to you in a while dear diary so please forgive me. Once again good evening. I know that in a few days it will be Valentines Day so I wanted to share something with you. Usually I come to you and complain but this night will be different. In the paper I read about a girl named Madison Ringenberg who is 2 years old. She has tetralogy of Fallota, a congenital heart defect. I read that 1 in every 100 children born - an estimated 40,000 babies - in the United States each year have malformed hearts like Madison. Some parts of her heart are too small and some are too large. According to Patrick Frias, pediatric cardiologist at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston, says she has a large hole between the two pumping chambers, and blood flow from the right chamber to the lungs is partly obstructed. Anything and everything throws her into congestive heart failure which was stated by her mother Lisa Ringenberg. Madison always pulls through over and over. Madison will need a prosthetic valve possibly a heart catheterization and / or surgery. For now Madison is fine and her heart according to those who know her, her heart looks fine. In the paper I read that her mother learned to never complain and hold fast to life even when the bad days number more than the good. I need to be more like Madison Ringenberg I really wish I were. Good night dear diary.
