My Day.......

Hello Dear World......

How are you ? Today I took the day off from work which was rather nice. Of course it was another steamy day here in Atlanta but it was nice since I was out and about today. First my mom and I dropped off my oldest niece at her summer school and then we went to breakfast at a great restaurant here in Georgia called IHOP you can check out its site at -----------> . At IHOP we had eggs, hash browns, sausages and yes we had our favorite dessert.......Funnel Cakes. I had my funnel cakes with chocolate chips and whipped cream and my mom had hers with a fruit topping.

After that we came home and I took my puppy Hobo out for a walk on our street. My puppy Hobo is getting bigger by the day I'm not sure how much bigger he will get but I think he will be much bigger once he is out of the puppy phase which doesn't seem long. He is doing well of course he will be going back to the vet in a couple of days.

Later in the day we went back to pick up my oldest niece from school and then we went out for lunch at a place called Zaxby's which has the best Onion peel and the best french fries. Before I would have said McDonald's had the best but after eating at Zaxby's McDonald's has lost its standing. I had a chicken club which wasn't to my liking because it came with a sweet mayonnaise which I didn't like. But the chicken I have to say was good because it was nice and tender. The Onion peel we had was nice and crispy and they were seasoned just right. I would say that if you like Chicken and you would like to try a new place to eat you have to go to Zaxby's. If you don't have one in your neck of the woods then if you ever get a chance to come to my neck of the woods stop off and eat at Zaxby's for a great meal on the go. Here is the link for Zaxby's ---------> .

After we went out to lunch we stopped off at Blockbuster and we decided to rent some movies. We got some movies for the little one and then my oldest niece got a movie and then my mom and I rented some movies. We got one called "Annapolis" with Tyrese. Even though it was more of a guy movie I have to say that the guys in the movie were quite nice looking. Tyrese played the part of a rather not so nice guy and he ended up in a boxing match with one of the other characters in the movie. I don't want to give out the ending so I will just tell you to go out and rent it. Here are 2 links to check out --------------> .

A few minutes ago my family and I watched two more of the movies we rented at Blockbuster one is called "FourBrothers" with Tyrese Gibson who also starred in the movie Annapolis. Let me tell you Tyrese is a great actor which showed in the movie "FourBrothers".Tyrese is also a very nice looking guy I must say. The other actors in the movie included Mark Wahlberg, Andre' Benjamin and Garrett Hedlund. FourBrothers was a very good movie and all of the other guys in the movie made the movie what it was. I am recommending "FourBrothers" highly. The other movie we watched was "The Pink Panther" with Steve Martin who was excellent for the role of Inspector Jacques Clouseau. I am also recommending the movie "The Pink Panther" as well. It is a funny movie from start to finish.

Anyway......I wanted to include a recipe for making funnel cakes because me and my mom happen to like them very much. I'm sure you will want to make one yourself.

( * The batter is poured through a funnel into cooking oil and fried. )

1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon salt

3/4 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar

1 quart oil for frying

2 tablespoons white sugar

1 egg

1 cup milk

1/4 cup confectioners' sugar for dusting

1) In a mixing bowl, beat together egg and milk. Beat in flour, salt, baking soda, cream of tartar and white sugar until smooth.

2) Heat about 1 inch cooking oil in frying pan to 375 degrees F. (190 degrees C)

3) Pour 1/2 cup batter through funnel into oil with a circular motion to form a spiral. Fry until lightly brown; turn over to brown the other side. Cook to golden brown, remove to drain on paper towels.

Last note: Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar while still warm.

Tomorrow I am happy to report that I will be going to Indian Springs with my family for the weekend. We won't be camping there but we will be going to the beach since my nieces asked if we could go to the beach. I'm sure it will be hot tomorrow but it will be nice to be at the beach enjoying the water. If you don't mind me asking what are your plans for the 4th of July perhaps buying a ton of fireworks or will you be going to see fireworks ?

I wanted to share with you one of my favorite shows on television called "Junkin" on Turner South with a lady named Vale and a guy named Dave who go to Yard Sales and Flea Markets in different parts of the country. Here is the link -------------> . Check out the "Junkin" site so you can see it for yourself. I really like the show its funny and I like to see them go to all the yard sales since I like yard sales as well.

One last thing before you head to the kitchen to cook up a batch of funnel cakes let me ask you... how your day? Did you go anywhere and eat today ? Did you also take the day off of work ? By the way is it just as hot in your neck of the woods dear world ? I really  hope you had a nice day like I did. I will talk to you later dear world.

Take care.......Byyyyyye for now

Some Rather Upsetting News and Other Notes.........

Hello Dear World !!!!!

How are you ??? First I am sad to report some rather upsetting news. Yesterday my aunt and uncle who don't live very far from us was robbed. I am glad they weren't home at the time. Here's some of the uncle had recently purchased a new computer which was taken and their bedroom was trashed. Apparently the robbers got in by breaking the glass at the top in a door that they have downstairs at their house. Its sad to think something like that could happen to my aunt and uncle or to anyone else for that matter. I wish there was something that I could do to take back what happened to them yesterday but I know I can't. I hope the police are able to find whoever is responsible for the crime. Its not only upsetting but it also makes me mad. The Sheriff of our County doesn't seem to be doing anything to stop the crime in our neck of the woods. You can find out some things about our County at this site ----------> . I would like to also share some facts about our County with you.

Here's some facts about our crime rate:

Murders: 23% increase

Robbery: 32% increase

Aggravated Assault: 18% increase

Burglary: 8% increase

Theft: 2% increase

Motor Vehicle Theft: 29% increase

Arson: 13% increase

I don't know if the crime rate will ever change I hope so. How is the crime rate where you are dear world ? I think that's enough upsetting news for now.

In other news my dear friend Iris has a journal here at J-Land called "La Dolce Vita" here is the link to her site -----> . Go and wish her a "Happy 2nd Anniversary" on her journal.

I also have a very interesting journal to share with you called "The Wisdom of a Distraced Mind" that I think you will enjoy. There is a little snack called Chocolate Covered Bacon included in one of the entries I think you might want to check out. Since I love chocolate and this journal I had to post this link with you so here it is ------> .

Go by and check out this journal for yourself I hope you will like it as I do. I hope you enjoy my journal as well. That's all for now.

Take care dear world

Just Some Things To Share.......

Hello Dear World......

How are you ??? I thought I would share a few notes with you today. Yesterday my family and I took a ride down to one of my favorite stores the "DeKalb Farmers Market" which is as I've told you like going to different foreign countries without having to go to the airport and getting on a plane. I was a little shocked to find that they only had (3) soft shell crabs to sell which I had to buy because I hadn't had any in quite a while. I asked if they had anymore in the back but they said no. I went ahead and bought the last 3 which I'm not sorry for. Of course they have a place inside where you can buy different dessert pastries and gelato which is from Italy. Their desserts are wonderful and their gelato is simply mouthwatering. They have all kinds of flavors and their chocolate overdose cookies are a must buy.

In other news the thunder and lightning has finally rolled in and we're getting rain for the first time in a very long time. I think we are coming out of the drought just in time. I hope it rains for a while we need the rain here in my neck of the woods. Is it raining in your neck of the woods dear world ??? If it is send me your rain complete with thunder and lightning so it can rain for days without stopping. You can feel free to drop some rain to me in the mail I won't mind a wet mailbox.

I have some wonderful journals to share with you......You must check these out they are my favorites.

One-Way Passage

Bee's Shutter

and my favorite message in a bottle

Bottled Dreams

You must stop by these journals and read them for yourself.

Saturday Thoughts.......

Hello Dear World....

How are you today ? Its another sizzling day here in Georgia. I wanted to share some things with you. For a long time I was an avid fan of the show "Saved By The Bell" and one of my favorite people from the show has a website that I want to share with you. Check out this site ---------> .

In other news I recently came upon a story in the news recently of a message in a bottle which I also wanted to share with you. Years after casting a bottled-up note into a lake for a class project and just one year after his death, a man's childhood message was found and returned to his mother.

Eleven years ago, a then 10-year-old Joshua Baker wrote the message which was nestled in an empty vanilla container which was given back to his mother Maggie Holbrook. The message read:

"My name is Josh Baker, I am 10. If you find this put it on the news. The date is 4/16/95"

The message surfaced in White Lake in late April, just days after the 11th anniversary of its casting. It was found by one of Baker's closest friends, Steve Lieder, of Antigo. Lieder and two friends were chatting near the lake when they looked down and saw the bottle. They broke it open and found the note inside. They immediately took it to Joshua's mother who said she is now having the note preserved and she will display it in her home. She told the news reporter that she can remember when her son wrote the message for a school project. She says she can still remember the day her wrote it. " I think he was just letting us know he was OK and to keep doing what we are doing".

Joshua died last February following a motor vehicle accident in California. He had recently returned home after serving in the Middle East as a U.S. Marine.

I hope you enjoyed this bit of news as I did. Have you ever sent a message in a bottle ? I haven't ever sent one but I am thinking that I would like to do as Joshua did. What's going on in your neck of the woods dear world ?

That's all for now......I will talk to you later. Byyyyyyyyyye for now.

Another Day In My Life............

Hello Dear World...............

How are you ????? Once again I have some rather terrible news about the weather here in my neck of the woods. Just ( 3 ) years after the worst drought on record Georgia has slipped into another. State Environmental Protection Division Director Carol Couch declared the state to be in a drought Wednesday. A three-day-a-week outdoor watering schedule is in effect until further notice. It was also reported that Lake Lanier the main water source for more than 3 million people is dropping.  Check out about the drought here ------- .

I am also sad to report that once again the Toronto Blue Jays have beat the Atlanta Braves 6-3. The Braves have lost 19 of its past 22 and is 12 games under .500 and resides 14 and a half games behind the New York Mets in the NL East. You can check out the Braves here ------ .

In other news our puppy Hobo went back to the vet for the 2nd time today. Hobo now weighs in at 9lbs. 6ozs. We learned that he is not a Pit Bull as we once thought but he is a mixed Labrador. He got some more shots. Hobo will have to go back to the vet in another ( 3 ) weeks for more shots and a check up.

For dinner my family and I went to our favorite Mexican restaurant "La Parrilla" which has some of the best Mexican food. Check out its site here -------- . Tonight there was live entertainment at the restaurant which consisted of a guy playing a guitar and singing some different songs including some of my favorites by the country singer Alan Jackson.

After dinner we went to PetSmart which has everthing. You can find it here ---------- . At PetSmart we bought some puppy food, a dog brush, a puppy pillow and a harness when we take Hobo for a walk. Here's a site about Labradors ----------- .

All in all it was a pretty busy day. What did you do today dear world ? I guess that's all for now. I will talk to you tomorrow.

Good night.

My Day........

Hello Dear World !!!!!!

How are you today ?? It was a rather steamy day here in Atlanta, Georgia. Right about now I would like to take a little vacation in Iceland to get away from this heat. How is the weather in your neck of the woods ?

Anyway.....I have something to tell you though you might laugh but I would like to share it with you so here it is.......There was a really nice looking guy named Anthony yes I asked him his name...proud of me ? Anyway.....Anthony was at the gas station and I asked him if he was going to take me out to lunch as a way of flirting with him. He told me yes if only he didn't have to work. I couldn't have gone to lunch with him since I was with my coworkers. After talking to him some more he smiled at me and asked me if I was going to take him out to lunch but I told him that I had to get back to work which I was wishing hadn't been the case but I had to get back to work with my coworkers since we were out getting gas. He was a really nice looking guy. As I was leaving he winked at me and he smiled back at me as I waved to him. The thing is after all of that I had forgotten to ask him for his phone number....silly me. I know I should have given him my phone number which I forgot to do since I was enjoying talking to him. Silly silly silly silly silly silly silly silly silly me.

In other news I am more than happy to report that Atlanta's Firefighters won a pay increase Monday. The City Council was persuaded to snub Atlanta's Mayor Shirley Franklin, who didn't want to give them anything. The 3.5% raise for Firefighters mirrors the increase that the Mayor had already recommended for sworn Officers in the Police Department. In a 9-6 vote, the Council gave a $1.9 million to Firefighters and they told the Mayor to shave the money from other departments citywide. The Council was reacting to demands by Firefighters for parity with Police. It takes 10 votes to override a veto, so the Mayor could still have the final say. The raises, if unchallenged, will go into effect with the new fiscal year next month. Mayor Franklin declined to comment on whether she planned to veto the council's action. Jim Daws, President of the Atlanta Professional Firefighters, said a veto would be a slap in the face of the City's Firefighters. Last year, after Firefighters marched on City Hall, the Council boosted their pay by 4% after Mayor Franklin recommended firat a 1% and then a 3.5% increase. I'm just glad that the City Council saw that Atlanta's Firefighters got a raise in their pay. I think that the Firefighters deserve equal pay as Atlanta's Police Officers. I support the City Council's decision 100 %.

On a more funny note to everyone who has read the children's story "Goldilocks and the Three Bears" here's a story in reverse which ends in a good way......What I'm about to tell you is a true story. In West Vancouver, British Columbia a woman came home to find a young bear eating oatmeal in her kitchen. The bear apparently entered through an open sliding glass door. The bear broke a ceramic food container and started eating which was reported by West Vancouver's Police Sgt. Paul Skelton. Three police officers who went to the home Thursday couldn't get the bear to budge, so authorities let the animal finish its meal. Police Sgt Skelton reported that "The bear didn't appear to be aggressive and wasn't destroying the house, so they let it do what it was doing and eventually the bear decided to make its way out of the residence and down toward a forested gully". Police Sgt. Skelton also reported that "It ended the best it could". Skelton said bears in the suburbs of Vancouver have been coming out of hibernation as hungry as ever but later than usual this spring because of a heavier than normal snowpack from the winter. In my opinion I'm sure that the bear was happy to get something to eat. Its probably off trying to find something else to eat. After sleeping a while I would be hungry too so all's well that ends well.

How are things in your neck of the woods dear world ??????? Any bears come roaming in your neighborhood ?????

Good night.

Some News.......

Hello Dear World.......

How is everyone ? I hope all of you Fathers out there had a most wonderful Fathers Day. Yesterday it was another hot day in my neck of the woods. We had a little cook out for Fathers Day which was nice. My oldest niece had a friend over at the house. I am happy to report that our puppy Hobo is getting bigger and eating more like he's a full grown dog. Hobo will be staying with us so now there is no question.

Anyway....For all of you Boxing fans out there here is a little something you will want to read. Last night my mom and I watched a great Boxing match between Jermain Taylor and Robert "Winky" Wright. It was a fight worth watching even though it turned out to be a draw which I'm sure will lead to a rematch later on. I have to say that Robert is a very nice looking guy and he is quite a Boxer I must say. I am glad I watched it from start to finish. The next time he has a boxing match I will certainly watch. I wouldn't mind getting tickets to see one of his fights that would be something to see.

In other sports news I am sad to report that the Boston Red Sox beat the Atlanta Braves last night 10-7 at Turner Field. It was the 10th loss in 11 games and 17th in 20 for the Braves. Today the Atlanta Braves are in last place in the NL East with a 30-40 record. They are now 14 games behind New York and 10 games under .500 for the first time since 1990. I hope that things turn around for our Braves but I just don't know......I just don't know.

In other news today started another week at work for me and another steamy day here in Atlanta, Georgia and it seems like its going to stay cooking but I don't know how long. At the end of the day my clothes are stuck to me and I will probably turn into an overcooked potato before long. Of course I just started reading a book titled "The Blue Bistro" written by Elin Hilderbrand and its pretty good so far. Here's a few facts about the book to get you interested: There's a guy in the book named Thatcher Smith who is the owner of the Nantucket restaurant and he offers a lady named Adrienne Dealey a job there. Adrienne has spent the past six years working for hotels in exotic resort towns. Over the summer she decides to make Nantucket home. Left flat broke by her ex-boyfriend, she is desperate to earn some money fast. When Thatcher offers her the job she wonders if she can get by with no restaurant experience. A question lingers in the book about the restaurant because it seems to be in its final season before closing its doors for good. Adrienne must decide whether she'll move on as she always does or finally open her heart...............You'll have to read it to find out for yourself. I hope you like the book as I'm sure I will.

Before I say good night let me ask you.......How are things in your neck of the woods dear world ????

I have one final note: There is a journal titled "The Wisdom of a Distracted Mind" here at J-Land which I hope you will enjoy as I did........This journal is funny, interesting and filled with all kinds of interesting items to read. Here is the link -------------------------->  . Drop by this journal and say hello to someone you might not know.

Good-night and sweet dreams.......Byyyyye for now

Saturdays are "FUN"

Hello Dear World !!!!!!!!

How are you today ? I have tons to tell but where should I start ? Well I will try at the beginning how's that ???

Well.....Earlier today my family and I had a yard sale in our front yard here in Atlanta, Georgia which was fun. We sold a couch that a lady bought. We sold it for $50.00 because it was a 2-piece set. My dad and my oldest niece delivered the couch to her house which wasn't far from our house. At the yard sale we also sold a dehumidifier, a fishing pole and ( 3 ) books out of my room. We might be having another yard sale tomorrow.

After we packed up our yard and everything my family and I went to my Uncle's house. By the way my uncle's name is Tony. At my Uncle's house there was a graduation party held for a cousin of mine who graduated today from a University. It was nice seeing his kids because I hadn't seen them in a while and let me tell you kids grow fast these days. At this point I should rewind and tell you where I went before my Uncle's house. Here I am pressing the rewind button ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------<Okay....Before I went to my Uncle's house I went to a store called "World Market" here is the link -------------> . Going there is the equivalent to going to a bunch of foreign countries in one day without stepping foot on a plane. They sell items and foods there from all over the world which is something to see. While I was at "World Market" I purchased some Ghirardelli Intense Dark Chocolate w/finely ground espresso is the link to it ----- . I also purchased some Lindt Lindor is the link ------- . I also purchased some Kahlua and Cream Belgian Milk is the link for it...... . I also bought some Lindt Swiss Milk Chocolate with a liquid Raspberry filling. As you already know I love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love chocolate. Let me repeat that....I love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love chocoate.I should probably be a spokesperson for every chocolate product on the market. Lindt, Ghirardelli and Hershey should give me a few stocks in their company because I would keep them in business without a doubt.

I guess that's about all of my news for now. I will talk to you dear world at a later date. You can bet that I will have something to share. Take care and good night and I hope you have sweet dreams.......Byyyyyyye for now.

Some News From My Neck of The Woods.......

Hello My Dear World.....

How is everyone tonight ?? Here in my neck of the woods which as you all know is Atlanta, Georgia is was reported by the weather man that it was 89 degrees but take it from me it was more like 100 degrees and continuing. Of course there are a few things going on in my neck of the woods that I thought I would share with you. Our mayor Bill Campbell was sentenced to 30 months in prison. There was a 6-year federal investigation into Campbell's behavior while he was mayor. Campbell served two terms as Atlanta's mayor from 1994 to 2002. He was convicted in March on 3 counts of tax evasion but he was acquitted on racketeering charges and taking thousands of dollars in bribes. In addition to prison time he was ordered then mayor Campbell to pay almost $63,000 in back taxes and a $6,000 fine and he has to serve a year on probation following his prison term. Prosecutors contented that Campbell had evaded paying taxes on about $200,000 in unreported income. It is reported that Campbell will probably serve his time in a minimum-security prison camp.

In other news the Atlanta Braves lost on Tuesday to the Florida Marlins 4-1. The loss dropped Atlanta to 1-4 on the road trip with two more games left in Florida. Last night they also lost once more to the Florida Marlins 6-5. The Atlanta Braves are now 12 games behind the first-place New York Mets. I don't know what happened to the Braves or if they will make a comeback any time soon. They have to play the Florida Marlins once more but I don't know if they will win this game or lose once more I don't really think it matters now when all the games they've lost so far .

I read in Germany that there has been some rioting yesterday. There has been some stadium brawls and bringing banned substances into stadiums. Those who were arrested in the riots will have to report to their probation officers twice daily, once between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. and once between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. I read that the trouble started with a riot in Dortmund in certain individuals threw bottles and chairs and shot fireworks. The incident occured before the Germany-Poland game and two miles from the stadium. It was reported that certain individuals had injuries and no police or bystanders were hurt. There were 12 arrests surrounding England's World Cup opener against Paraguay, despite the presence of fans in Frankfurt. It was also reported that there was rioting Saturday in London and Liverpool and a soccor-related stabbing in Glasgow, Scotland. I read that more than 3,500 individuals will have to surrender their passports for the duration of the World Cup which was reported by Andrin Cooper who is a spokesman for English soccer's governing body, the Football Association. It was also reported that more than 300 police officers from the 12 European nations are in Germany. 44 English officers are in Nuremburg some in uniform and some working undercover. I don't know what's going on in that part of the world but I hope that everyone is able to enjoy seeing the games and having a fun time. I wish everyone in that part of the world all the happiness in the world for great games and lots of memories while at the World Cup.

How are things in your neck of the woods dear world ??? I would like to wish everyone a wonderful evening. Good night.

Some Good News and Some Not So Good.....

Hello Dear World !!!!!!!!!

First things first....Since we got a little bit of rain here in Atlanta, Georgia its been rather cool here in my neck of the woods which was a nice change. Even with the little bit of rain we got we are in the middle of a watering ban until further notice.

Anyway....Here is some rather nice news......Today was my parents anniversary, their 35th isn't that great ??? I am still with a little cough from the cold I've had but I am getting better. Susan of the journal "The Strawberry Patch" is also under the weather. Here is a link if you would like to offer her some get well soon thoughts ---------> .

When it comes to my not so good news I have been watching the news on television and I have been reading the newspaper and I have to say that I have been feeling rather upset with the President and here's why....In the news which was in the Atlanta Journal Constitution it was reported that a U.S. Navy Sailor Zachary M. Alday from Southwest Georgia was killed recently in Iraq. Zachary M. Alday was a Naval Hospital Corpsman from Donalsonville. He died Friday after the Military vehicle he was riding in struck a land mine which was announced by the U.S. Department of Defense. It was also reported that Zachary helped to provide medical assistance to the troops. He joined the Navy in November 2004. I read that he had hopes of getting a good education and of seeing the world. It was written that Nikki Barber is a cousin of his told the newspaper that he was interested in pursuing a career in radiology once out of the Navy.

Zachary's recent assignment was to the 1st Battalion 7th Marines, 7th Regimental Combat Team, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton, Calif. His survivors include his 14th-month old daughter Karmyn and his parents Tommy and Donna Alday and sister Mandy Barber and his cousin as well.

I also read that today President Bush meet with Iraq's leaders today in a teleconference. It was reported that the President at Camp David made no move toward troop withdrawls. It is also reported in the news that anarchy still reins on the streets of Baghdad and parts of at least 4 provinces. It seems like the President isn't looking at the impact of the war upon the family members that have lost loved ones in Iraq and for the family members whose loved ones are still serving in Iraq. I wonder if the troops will ever be able to return home ??? Those like Zachary will NEVER be able to return home and the President CAN'T ever make that right I guess that's why I'm a little upset with him at the moment.

I read a poem written by the writer/poet Matthew J. Stepanek that I wanted to include in this entry. The poem is titled "Dear Mr. Bush".

Dear Mr. Bush

You said we are caught

between terrorism and hopelessness.

You said we cannot

Find peace in this situation.

I caught your words, but

I cannot agree with the conclusion.

We cannot perpetuate terrorism.

But perhaps,

If we choose to accept

Hopelessness with a catch,

We will find peace in all situations.

Hope, or lack of hope,

Is an attitude.

And an attitude is a choice.

In this great country,

We do have a choice.

And so, in conclusion,

We cannot get caught

With a bad attitude,

Or we are not choosing peace.

--------June 2002  Matthew Stepanek ( Loving Through Heartsongs ) Page 60. I'm sorry dear world but I had to share how I have been feeling. I don't mean any disrespect towards the President its just how I am feeling right now. Thanks for listening.......

Good night dear world..........Sleep Well

My Sunday !!!!!!!

Hi Dear World !!!!!

How is everyone today ??? It was another steamy day here in my neck of the woods. Today my family and I took a ride down to Barnes & Noble which is a wonderful book store. Here is the link if you want to check it out ----------- . I love going to Barnes & Noble it would be nice to be locked inside of the book store for a weekend so I could read a ton of the books in the store. By the way inside of Barnes & Noble is a Starbucks which I didn't get a chance to get to get any coffee there since I was shopping for some books. If you have a Barnes & Noble in your area you have to stop there, pick up a book or two, a coffee and one of their wonderful desserts. This might sound a bit silly but being that I'm single I bought some books on how to meet someone. I'm 30 years old and buying books on how to find someone that must mean that I need help.

Anyway.....after the book store my family and I went to Kroger's for some ice cream. I bought some chocolate chip ice cream and some Dove Chocolate and Brownie Affair ice cream. When we got home my oldest niece and I put our ice cream in the blender and we made some milkshakes and drank them. I have to admit there's nothing better than ice cream on a hot day. My youngest niece got a small pool so she play in the water outside. She loved playing in her pool she didn't want to get out.

After all of that I went upstairs and fed my puppy Hobo who is getting bigger and bigger every day. Even though he is still a puppy he is eating like a full grown dog. He is into chewing everything which I wish I could get him to stop doing but he just chews on things he can find to chew on. How do you get a puppy to stop chewing on everything in sight ?

So my dear world how are things in your neck of the woods ??? How is the weather where you are ? If anyone has any snow or rain I would like to ask if you could drop some of it in the mail for me. Perhaps you could send it by Federal Express. If you like I would be more than happy to send you all of this warm weather in exchange.

That's all for now......Take care dear world.Byyyyyyyyye for now.

I'M Back !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Dear World !!!!!!!!!

How are you these days ???? I'm back !!!!!!!! like a bad penny. I have been working on getting better and I'm getting there. Right now the Atlanta Braves are still having a tough time of it but I'm sure things will turn around for them. The news has also been horrible and hard to listen to but I have been out to rent movies at Blockbuster. The movies I rented were Firewall with Harrison Ford, FreedomLand with Samuel Jackson and Running Scared.

Firewall was a great movie and Harrison Ford has aged wonderfully. He is still as handsome as ever. There was lots of action and mystery throughout the movie. I was glad to have rented it. The other movie I watched Freedomland well that wasn't so good. I was sorry to see this movie it was a really strange movie. I would have to say do not rent Freedomland. I would like to see Vin Diesel who happens to be one of my other favorite actors come out with a new movie. I wouldn't mind seeing him jumping off a cliff, jumping out of a plane, robbing a bank or running from the law possibly all in the same movie. Anyway.......let me tell you about another great movie called "Nanny McPhee" with Emma Thompson and Colin Firth who happens to be one of my other favorite actors. I fell in love with Colin in the old classic "Pride & Prejudice". The movie "Nanny McPhee" is one great movie. Emma Thompson played the character of Nanny McPhee. Colin Firth also acted in the movie as the dad. It was a perfect movie for adults, teenagers and children.

On a different note my puppy Hobo is getting bigger every day and he's quite a wonderful part of the family. Of course it was another day at work for me and it was a steamy day here in my neck of the woods here in Atlanta, Georgia. While I was out at lunch I went to the store and purchased some CD's that I like one was with Nick Lachey. You can find his site here -------- . I really think he is a handsome guy and a great singer. One of the other CD's I bought was by the group Nickelback you can find their site here WWW.NICKELBACK.COM . I really like their music and I hope that you will enjoy their site. What kind of music do you like dear world ? What is going on in your neck of the woods ??

Well byyyyye for now my dear world we'll talk later. Byyyyyyye !!!!!

Hello Again........

Hello Dear World !!!!!!!!

How are you ? It was a rather nice day here in Atlanta it wasn't too hot or too cool it was perfect. I would have liked to be at the park instead of at work but it was a nice day all in all.

Anyway....Yesterday my family and I had to go to Buckhead to get a bed for my sister from some people she knows from her work. One of the people is a woman who has to return to Germany and the other is a guy who is waiting here in Georgia until his Visa expires. I have found out that a Visa is an official authorization appended to a passport, permitting entry into and travel within a particular country or region. Of course all that I know about Germany is that its capital is Berlin. I can't say that I have ever been to Germany.

On a different note the other night I watched the movie "Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason" which has become one of my other favorite movies. Here is the link if you want to check it out -----------> Let me tell you that Colin Firth is the best part of the movie in my opinion. It is a very funny movie and its really quite good.

Let me also tell you dear world that you should read a very great book titled "Pure Drivel" by the actor/comedian Steve Martin. Here are ( 2 ) sites you might want to check out ----------> and . Pure Drivel is both an interesting and funny read. Once you start reading it you never stop laughing. Steve Martin as well as writing has acted in some great movies including......Roxanne,Three Amigos, L.A. Story, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Planes, Trains & Automobiles and many, many more.

I do have some rather sad news to report as well my dear world. The Arizona Diamondbacks completed their domination of the Atlanta Braves with a 9 - 3 rout Sunday at Turner Field. The Braves are a dismal 1 - 6 on their first extended homestand of the season and back under .500 for the season at 28 - 29. The Atlanta Braves have gotten swept in a four game series for the 1st time in 11 years. Here is a link you might want to check out on the Braves --------->

I hope you had a nice day today my dear world. Anything you would like to share ????? By the way how are things in your neck of the woods ?? I just thought I would drop in and say hello.

Take care my dear world........Byyyyyyye

Hi ! Its Saturday !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi ! Hello Dear World....

Its me Kathy Griffin, just kidding. I was just watching a great show on Bravo called Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List. Let me say that Kathy Griffin is a very funny lady and comedian. Check out these site ------->

.....At the moment I am still sick but I am working my way to getting better. Anyway yesterday I took my new puppy Hobo to the vet for his first shots. The doctor gave him a shot under his fur, in the muscle and a medication was shot into his nose I don't know anyone who would enjoy that. He was also examined and come to find out he has Roundworms and Hookworms which the doctor said is quite normal. The doctor gave us medicine to put in his food to kill the worms and not harm Hobo. The doctor also weighed him and she told us that he weighs 3 lbs. 11 ozs. She also told us that its better that we start giving him dry dog food instead of soft dog food. The doctor said it helps their teeth and all. We did give him some earlier which he ate without hesitation. We have to take him back to the doctor in another few weeks. Hobo has become a big part of the family.

On a different note this morning I watched "National Treasure" with Nicolas Cage, "Ocean's Twelve" with George Clooney. I also watched the movie "Bridget Jones:The Edge of Reason" with Colin Firth and the movie "Hitch" with Will Smith. All of the movies were pretty funny and entertaining. Let me share with you some great news. As I told you before Keanu Reeves is coming out with a new movie pretty soon called "The Lake House" which premieres June 16 which I will go see when it hits the theatre. Of course its obvious that Keanu Reeves is my favorite actor. Here is the site to check out -------------->

I can't wait until June 16th.....Mark it on your calendars.......Mark it, make a note, write down the date, pencil it in. Tell me if you will go see the movie. Let me know if it hits your theatre........

On another exciting note I have been reading a blog titled "Ellipsis...Suddenly Carly which is funny, interesting and worth is the link --------> On her blog she names 10 things titled 10 Things That Make Me Say,"Life Is Good". Here are a few of mine......

1. My family whichincludes our newest addition Hobo

2. Vanilla and Chocolate ice-cream combined

3. Movies with Keanu Reeves

4. Saturdays

5. Going out to the store with my family

6. Listening to my radio

7. Reading movies at Blockbuster

8. Reading journals and blogs

9. Doughnuts from Krispy Kreme

10. Last but not least camping

In Ellipsis's blog there are some quotes that I wanted to share with you...Here they are------>

"All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt."

-Charles Schulz

"I think I have discovered the secret of life, you just hang around until you get used to it."

-Charles Schulz

That CharlesSchulz who created the Peanuts cartoon was a very smart guy don't you think ??????

By the way I was reading a story in the news and I just have to share the title of it with you. Here it is -------->

X-ray showed what looked like an alien head inside a duck's stomach.

Can you believe that ???? In the story it was reported that the duck died and upon the autopsy there was no alien inside of the duck just bits of corn and grain. Of course the X-ray was auctioned off on E-bay. Is this nuts or what ???

Well dear world any funny news happening in your neck of the world ??? I'm sure your about in tears from laughing from all that I've told you so I will talk to you later..........

Just Saying Hello........

Hello Dear World....

How are all of you today ?? It was another steamy day here in Atlanta, Georgia and it was another day at work for me.I'm sorry for not talking to you but I am sad to report that I am a little ill at the moment with a sore throat and something of a cough. I am medicating myself with Chloraseptic throat spray and some Dayquil. Later on tonight I will take some Nyquil.

In other news my puppy Hobo is getting bigger every day. He is getting fatter with all of the dog food we feed him. Friday he is going to the Vet to get his first series of shots which I'm sure he will not like. My family and I recently got him a leash which I must tell you he prefers to chew instead of walking around outside. But all in all Hobo is doing fine and he is also getting more and more active each and every day.

Anyway......My family is doing fine. My nieces are out of school at the moment. My oldest niece will have to attend summer school on Monday. My youngest niece is getting taller and she is quite funny and she is full of personality let me tell you.

How are things in your neck of the woods ? I hope you are all well. I just wanted to come and say hello. I will talk to you all later.

All my love,
