New Update.....

Hello everyone

Good evening everyone !!!!!! Let me begin by saying that the weather today in Atlanta, Georgia was quite nice and I am enjoying it. Today started another week for me at work. I had to skip work this morning to go to a Tri-Annual Training Sexual Harrassment class which we have to do every 3 months. I completed my training at the Atlanta Beach with some other people from different departments that had to take the class as well. I won't have to do the class for another 3 months. The class started at 8:30 am and it ended about 10:30 later on in the morning. I am done for the time being in my training.

In other news I started reading another book by Danielle Steel called "The Ghost" and I have to say that I am enjoying it immensely. In the book there is a man named Charlie Waterston who has had to find out that his wife is cheating on him with another man. His ten-year marriage has ended and he has also lost his home with his wife and his job in Europe which he loved a great deal.

I am really liking Charlie in the book and I think that the woman he married is crazy for having cheated on such a great guy. I am finding that I am enjoying getting to know Charlie and I can't wait to find out what happens next in the book. I highly recommend this book and I have to say that the book is definitely worth reading.

Anywho......how was your day my dear world ??? I do hope that you had a really nice Monday.

Question : What do you think about this Swine Flu ???? Any thoughts

Take care everyone

A Wonderful Day....And Shopping

Hello everyone

Good evening all !!!!!!! How is everyone today ? I hope you are all well. I must say that I had a wonderful day today. The weather was extremely perfect and it was warm in my neck of the woods.

Today my nieces stayed home with their mom while my folks and I went to a store we enjoy called the Dekalb Farmer's Market here is the link ----> http://www.dekalbfarmersmarket.com/ . The store is a place with food and people from all over the world. I ended up getting my favorite food in the whole wide world which is soft shelled crab which my mom got me hooked on eating. I bought 9 of them today and my mom fried them and we ate them all. I also got some different bread that I have never had before. It is called Challah Loaf and it is indeed very good. I also tried some samples in the market. One of the samples I had was NOT very good. I also bought some goat cheese with sundried tomatoes in it with basil and I got some crawfish and some deli Kraut that I like. I also got some desserts from the bakery. From the bakery I bought for the very first time some chocolate gelato from Italy and it was very good. I ended up buying some cartons of gelato from a company called "Ciao Bella" which are Mango sorbet gelato and some chocolate gelato. They have wine's there from all over the world including wine from Spain, New Zealand, France and other countries that I have NEVER been to. My dad ended up getting some wine called "Walking Barefoot" can you imagine ?? The market is filled with meats and fish from all over and the place is huge and I lovvvvvvvvvvvvvve it.

So how was your day my dear world ???? Did you go out and do any shopping like I did ? I do hope that you got to enjoy your day. My day was a blast. Do enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Take care

A Wonderful Birthday....

Hello everyone

Good evening all !!!!!!!! I wanted to come by and tell you that I had a really nice birthday with my family. My folks and I and my nieces went to a place called "KiKu Japanese Steak and Seafood House" here is the link ----> http://www.kikujapanese.com/ . The food was really really good. I ended up ordering the shrimp and fresh alaskan salmon which I enjoyed. I also had the fried rice which was really good. The cook prepared the food at the table which was nice. My dad treated me for my birthday which was nice.

After dinner we went to JoAnn's where I bought my youngest niece some stickers and some for myself. I spent the rest of the evening there until it closed which was fun. We got home pretty late and I had to get up for work in the morning.

Today of course was another day at work for me. My work has been pretty pretty busy. They are cutting our budget and our supplies which is a mess in itself. The weather in my neck of the woods was really nice though which I enjoyed. My coworker's are planning a day when they will take me out to lunch soon as a way to celebrate my birthday.

At the moment I am reading a great book titled "Summer Breeze" by the writer Catherine Anderson which I think is really really good. I will have to let you know how it is.

I am waiting for the movie "New Moon" to come out. I can't wait to see it. I have read a lot of Stephenie Meyer's books and I have really enjoyed them a great deal. I also like the movie "Twilight".

On a different note my ex has been calling and wanting to see me. Today at the store I bought a break up card and I decided I would send him the card and break up with him for good. I hate to break his heart but I just don't share the feelings he has for me. I do hope that he will be able to find someone else and be happy with that person. I do wish him all the best but I just hope that my breaking up with him won't be too hard on him. I am going to mail the card tomorrow.

Anywho......how are things with you my dear world ??? I do hope that all is well in your part of the world. I hope to hear all of your news. Do take care everyone

Bye for now

Update....

Hello everyone

Good evening everyone !!!!!!! It was another day of work for me today. At the moment I am reading "new moon" by Stephenie Meyer. In the book Edward Cullen leaves Bella. Bella later on goes to find Edward and she finds him.

I do have to tell you all that yes"TOMORROW IS MY BIRTHDAY" and I will be 33 years old.

On a more sad note an 11-year-old named Jaheem Herrera committed suicide Thursday after according to his family relentless bullying at his school Dunaire Elementary School. Herrera's stepfather Norman Keene said the family has received overwhelming support from people in the community about the tragic death of Jaheem.

Jaheem's body was discovered by his 10-year-old sister Yerralis who is also a fifth grader. His family said that he was bullied relentlessly. The family reported that they knew that he was target of bullies but until his death they did NOT understand the scope of the bullying. His sister witnessed much of the bullying and many times rose to her brother's defense.

In an interview with WSB-TV Masika Bermudez also said that her son was being bullied at school. She said that she had complained to the school. Bermudez told WSB she talked to Jaheem's best friend about the situation last week. "He said, "Yes ma'am. He had told her that he was tired of everybody always messing with him in school. He was tired of telling teachers and the staff about what was going on. "They never did anything about the problem".

Earlier this month the suicide of a Massachusetts boy, Carl Joseph Walker-Hoover who suffered taunts that he was gay attracted national attention. He was also 11 years old. His mother also reported that he committed suicide in the family's home.

Jaheem was excelling academically and adapting to his new home. The family moved to the Avondale Estates area less than a year ago from St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands. Last winter his grandmother died from Cancer. She was living with the family at the time. His grandfather returned to St. Croix after his wife's passing. He is taking Jaheem's death especially hard. The family has planned a trip home in June. They'll be returning next Monday instead to bury their 11-year-old son.

A candlelight vigil will be held for Jaheem in memorial. I think that its sad that the 11 year old is gone. I'm sure that his family will NEVER be the same. I wish I could meet his folks and to offer them my condolences on their loss. Those who teased him and picked on him should be ashamed of their behavior. I do hope that there will be an anti-bullying program set up at this school in order to prevent this kind of thing from happening in the future.

So my dear world how has your week gone ? I do hope that all is well in your neck of the woods. I would like to say thank you all for visiting and I hope that you all feel free to drop in anytime and say hello to me. Also you may feel free to leave me any questions, comments and thoughts in my post.

Take care everyone.

Some News...And A Personal Note

Hello everyone

Good evening to you all !!!!!!!!! I hope you are all well. I have some news to share with you today. On Friday evening after I got off of work some of my relatives from New Orleans came for a visit to us. They are staying with us for the weekend and they will be leaving on Monday. My aunt is named Janet and my uncle is named Merlin and my other cousin is named Monet.

Anywho...today we spent the whole day outside having a barbeque in our drive way which was nice. My dad made hamburgers and my uncle Tony came over with some fish that he had made. My relatives are having a nice time with us at the house. I wish you could meet them. The weather was really nice for the barbeque.

In other news my ex-boyfriend sent me a birthday card the other day. He wrote some things in the card and apparently he still has feelings for him. I can't say that I have any feelings for him at all. My mom thinks that maybe I should give him a second try but I don't want to bring him back in my life. I will probably have to send him a card and tell him that he should find someone else that will return the feelings that he has which I can't. I hate to have to hurt his feelings but I just don't have any feelings for him. Am I wrong ???? I just don't feel the same way that he does and I don't want to have to see him face to face but he might think that he has a chance to be with me again.

So my dear world how has your weekend gone ??? I do hope that all is well in your neck of the woods. What have you been up to these days ? I hope that you are enjoying your weekend. I am off of work this weekend so I am having a nice one with my relatives and my family.

Do take care everyone !!!!

A Great Camping Trip....And Happy Easter

Hello everyone

I'm home !!!!!!!!!! How has everyone been ?? I hope you are all well. I have such news to report that I shall tell you everything.

On April 4 we made it to Indian Pass Campground safe and sound. It was really really nice. It was like being on Gilligan's Island without the being stranded part. We set up camp and we went and had dinner at a place called Sunset Coastal Grill. You could see the sunset going down at our table. The Mahi Mahi they served me was really tasty and I liked it. We then drove back to the campground at C15 and went and took our showers and we got back to our popup and went to sleep.

The next day we found a church called St. Joseph Catholic Church in the area and the people were very nice. After church we drove to a little ways to a place called "The Seafood Grill" I got a shrimp poboy which was quite good. It was a pretty busy restaurant. After eating we drove to CVS. Then we drove back to Indian Pass. They actually have palm trees there. The water was a brownish green but it was still pretty. There was a tugboat right by our campsite that never seemed to get used.

On April 6 my family and I saw a group of dolphins swimming in front of our campsite and my mom took a picture which we haven't developed yet. It was too windy to go to the beach so we went back to camp and we started seeing the dolphins again. We also saw a mouse at our campsite and it had a hole in one of the palm trees. For dinner we had macaroni-n-cheese. My dad put a net in the water and he caught a small blue crab and some hermit crabs in the net. At 9:00 we went and took our showers.

The very next day it was quite wonderful. My family and I took a ride down to Panama City Beach. It was still too cold to go to the beach however. We ended up going to a store called Bealls Outlet. Then we went to Alvin's Island but I didn't buy anything. Afterward's we went to the Dollar Store where I bought some keychains for my coworker's. Then we took a ride to a used store where I bought some books and a book for my niece Megan and the movie "The Long Kiss Goodnight".

We then took a ride to our favorite restaurant in the whole part of Panama City Beach which is "Pier 77" which has the greatest food in town. We know a woman who works there named Sandy and she always likes to see us. It was nice to see her because we had NOT seen her in a while. She comes and gives us a hug. She remembered when my niece's were small and she remembered we always ate there.

Later on we drove back to camp and we had a nice dinner there. Before we got to our campsite we noticed a Vulture in a tree which was really huge and so we took a picture of it. Once we got there to take our shower's our neighbor next to us came and brought us a Flounder they had caught and they asked us if we wanted for which we said yes and told him thank you.

On April 8 we did go to the beach. I flew a kite that we have and my niece Megan caught some clams, a little minnow. My dad and my niece also caught a medium sized spotted crab which we released before our last day at camp.

After the beach we went to a beach called "Indian Pass Raw Bar". I had a plate of stuffed shrimp with crab which I can't say was very good. My dad had a plate of steamed shrimp which I ended up sharing with him. They ate some of my stuffed shrimp.

Then after eating we went over to the dollar store where I got some sticker's for Megan and another book I wanted.

On April 9 we went and hung out at the beach which was really really nice. We went down to Mexico Beach and we hung out there. Me and my oldest niece walked up and down the beach which was fun. We saw a guy there with his family and he built a really amazing looking sand castle which we also took a picture of since it was really really nice. I got a little tan but not burned.

For dinner we found a place called the "Grace O'Malley Pub & Eatery" and I can tell you that you can save your money. I had a dish of shrimp scampi and I can say that all that was good about it was the shrimp. The pasta was really dry. My folks didn't like their meal either.

On April 10 we decided to leave Indian Pass. They said it was going to rain there so we packed up early. We packed up early and we got on the road. As soon as we got into Georgia it got rather dark and it started to rain. While we were on the road we thought we were going to have to change lanes since a fire truck came through and then a few minutes later two police cars came up on the side of us so we pulled to the side to let them pass. We drove up a little ways ahead to the right side of us and we noticed that a pick up truck had flipped completely over in a ditch. We don't know if anyone was injured but hopefully whoever was in the truck is okay.

We did get home safe and sound. We were able to unload our navigator with no trouble.

On Saturday we went to the grocery store and got some stuff for Easter. By the way I've been seeing "Twilight" which is pretty good. By Lyn's advice I did buy the book "Knit Two" by Kate Jacobs since I liked her other book "The Friday Night Knitting Club".

By they way "HAPPY EASTER" to you all. At about a little before 6:00am this morning my folks and I and my niece's went to the Sunrise Service at St. Philip Benizi Church which was nice. It was cold however when we got there and we did bring our sleeping bags and our camping chairs with us.

After the service we went to IHOP for breakfast. We had a nice breakfast. Later in the day we got home and we got the food together for our Easter dinner.

So my dear world how was your week ????? I hope you are all well. I am home and unpacked and I can't wait for our next camping trip. It was so much fun and I do miss the ocean and the dolphins.

Take care
