Update....And Book Recommendation

Hello everyone

Good evening everyone. How are all of you today ? I hope you are all having a wonderful holiday season. It has been quite cold in my neck of the woods. How is the weather in your part of the world ?

In other news....it was another day at work for me. It has been pretty quiet at work these last few days with the Christmas holiday and all. I wanted to let you know that I am in the middle of reading a really good book titled "The Sound of Sleigh Bells" by the writer Cindy Woodsmall. It is a story about a woman named Beth Hertzler and a man named Jonah Kinsinger. Beth is in mourning over her fiancee and she decides to cut herself off from any hope of happiness. She comes upon a carving by the artist Jonah who holds the answer to both her past and the future. The question is can Beth move beyond her past and into the future ?

The book is really really quite good. It is one of those heartwarming stories that you hate to stop reading. I find that I like the book and it is the first one that I have read by Cindy Woodsmall. I find that Cindy is a very good writer and I would like to read more of her books in the future.

So how are things with you my dear world ? I hope all is well with you and your loved ones. Are you enjoying the Christmas season ? What are your plans for New Year's Eve by the way ? Any plans ??? Do keep me posted. I'll talk to you again soon.

Happy Holidays !!!!!!!!!!!!

News.....

Hello and Merry Christmas everyone

Good evening all !!!!!!!! I hope you all had a wonderful and memorable Christmas. I sure did with my family and my niece's.

Anywho...today was a wonderful Saturday. Earlier today my folks and I and my niece's went to La Parrilla to eat. I had a shrimp quesadilla wich was good. It was cold in the place however.

After eating we drove to the store Old Navy since my cousin Aaron and his wife gave her a gift card to the store for Christmas. My niece Megan and I went to Ross which was picked clean. I did purchase a nice black journal I wanted.

Later on we took a ride to Pier 1 Imports which is always fun. I found an unusual frog Christmas ornament, a blank notebook for my mom, a corkscrew for my dad and (2) bars of solid milk chocolate Godiva bars. I gave one of my chocolate bars to my niece Jeanette.

We then went to Toys "R" Us since my niece Megan got a gift card from my cousin Aaron and his wife for Christmas. She got a few things and I ended up purchasing the movie "Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince" there.

We also went to Blockbuster where my niece Megan got one and I rented the movie "I Hate Valentine's Day" with Nia Vardalos and John Corbett. I also bought my dad a war movie which he likes. I also purchased the "New Moon" calender which I wanted at Blockbuster.

We then took a ride to Kohl's. I found (2) cute Sesame Street t-shirts which were 2 for $20.00. I also bought some cards I wanted for myself and my coworker Francis. I also got my niece Jeanette a necklace she liked and I got a necklace as well that my mom picked out for me.

All in all it was a wonderful weekend and I had a lot of fun. How was your Christmas my dear world ? I hope you all had a wonderful and enjoyable holiday with your family and loved ones. I will talk to you all again soon.

Take care and Happy Holidays !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Nice But Cold Saturday....

Hello everyone

Good evening all !!!!!!! How is everyone today ? I hope you are all well. Today it was a rather cold cold day in my neck of the woods. My folks and I and my niece Megan went over to Hobby Lobby which is a fun place to go shopping at. While I was there I picked up (2) cute Christmas ornaments and and some Christmas stickers that I liked. I also got some Christmas plates and napkins for a Christmas Eve party that my family and I are going to have on Christmas Eve. A lot of people were there looking at the Christmas ornaments. There Christmas aisle was getting cleaned out by people like me. My niece Megan also picked out a Christmas ornament she liked.

Anywho....after shopping we went over to this place called "China Cafe" to get some food to take home. The food was pretty good. I have to say that I would like to go back there to get some more Chinese food. We did stop off and got my niece Megan a Big Mac from MacDonald's since she likes hamburgers.

Update.....

Hello everyone

Good evening to you all. I hope you are all well. It was another day at work for me. After work my mother and I and my oldest niece had to take our puppy Chip to the vet. He is NOT feeling well at all. He has been spitting up and he had diarrhea last week. We took him and they gave him a shot for the nausea and they put fluid in him under his skin. He looks like he swallowed a really large turtle. He was NOT able to eat or drink today after going to the vet since he was given fluids. Hopefully he gets to feeling better.

Anywho...I am reading the book "Dashing Through The Snow" by Mary Higgins Clark and Carol Higgins Clark. It is the perfect book to read for the holidas. I finished reading "I, Alex Cross" by James Patterson which was quite good.

This evening I taped the old classic movie "84 Charing Cross Road" with Anthony Hopkins which is a really good movie. So how are you my dear world ? I hope you are all well. Its supposed to be cold tomorrow. I put up Christmas colors since its almost Christmastime.

I will talk to you again soon.

A Nice Sunday....

Hello everyone

Its after 10:00pm here so good evening everyone. How is everyone today ? I hope you all had a nice Sunday. I had a really nice day and the weather was perfect. My folks and I and my niece's went down to Newnan, Georgia for the day. We first went to Ruby Tuesday for lunch which was good -----> http://www.rubytuesday.com/ . I had a chicken quesadilla and a salad from the salad bar. My lunch was good and I ordered a Raspberry tea which was quite good. My family tasted it and they liked it. The waiter was very nice and I joked around with him. My family also enjoyed their lunch.

After lunch we went to a Great Clips nearby and my mom and I and my dad got our hair cut. I like the way one of the women cut my hair and my mom also liked her hair cut and my dad liked his. I am back to having short hair again. I like my hair when its really short instead of having it grow out. I want to keep it short for the Christmas holiday.

We also went to TJMaxx where I looked at all of the Christmas ornaments and stuff which was fun. In the end I found one of the Jane Austen movies. The movie is titled "Jane Eyre". I happen to be a Jane Austen fan and I always like her classics. My mom found a basket she liked. It was fun going there and looking around and finding a movie I wanted.

After TJMaxx we went to CVS where my folks picked up a few items. My dad is sick with the cold now. I am completely better and now he is sick with a cold. He got some cough drops and I gave him some cold medicine tablets once we got to the house.

Anywho...I hope you all had an enjoyable Sunday. Of course tomorrow I have to go back to work since I was off for the Thanksgiving holiday. I hope you all have a great week ahead. I will talk to you again soon.

Take care everyone

Hello everyone

Good evening !!!!!!!! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and friends. My folks and I and my niece's went to church early this morning for the Thanksgiving Day mass which was nice. We then went to eat at IHOP which is always good. I had the hearty ham and cheese omelet and the Pecan pancakes. One of the waitresses brought me some pecan pie filling and some roasted peanuts to put on my pancakes which was quite good.

After IHOP we got home and fixed our Thanksgiving meal which consisted of a turkey, some dressing, some yams with marshmallow's, peas, some stuffing, cranberry sauce and some sparkling grape juice. Our meal was quite good and we ate together in the dining room at our house.

A little while ago I went with my sister and my niece's to Blockbuster to get some movies. I ended up renting "Four Christmases" with Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn. I will tell you about it after I see it. I also got the movie "The Ugly Truth" with Gerard Butler. I will tell you about it after I see it as well.

Update...And News About My Trip

Hello dear world

Good evening everyone !!! How is everyone today ? I hope you are all doing well. It has been raining these last couple of days in my neck of the woods. It has also been another week at work for me.

Anywho....I wanted to share some information about my trip to Stone Mountain Park with my family. My folks and I and my youngest niece Megan and my puppy Chip stayed at campsite #434 which turned out to be a pull through which my dad liked.

In the afternoon after we got set up and everything we went to eat at a place in Stone Mountain Park called "Ms. Katie's". The place was nice and the food was wonderful and quite delicious. They had good old fashioned Southern cooking. They had these onion petals and they were very very very good. I ordered the grilled Salmon with garlic mashed potatoes and macaroni-n-cheese which was quite good.

After eating we went to the theater in the park to see the movie "Journey To The Center of The Earth" which was in 4-D. Its always fun to go to the theater in Stone Mountain Park. They are now showing "The Polar Express" there in 4-D. I wish I could be there to see it since we left the day it began on Sunday.

Later on we got back to the campground. We waited at the campground until it was time for us to go to "Ride The Duck" which is a boat ride and a bus which goes through the park. Our captain was named Roy and he was quite a fun captain. We really enjoyed him being our captain.

After Riding The Duck we then drove to Target and I found some cute Christmas stickers and ornaments. Then we went to eat at a Mexican restaurant which wasn't all that good.

We then got back to camp and I can say that our first day at camp was quite fun. On our first day at camp we also went to an Indian Pow Wow across the street from Stone Mountain Park which was quite interesting.

The next day my folks and I and my niece packed up our camper and our new puppy and we drove home. My oldest niece decided to NOT go with us since she spent the night at a friend's house.

Going to Stone Mountain Park was a nice trip and we had fun. I can't wait to go back to Stone Mountain Park. My folks and I and my youngest niece and my puppy had a great time. My puppy Chip did NOT try to escape or anything he just stayed with us at the campground. We did NOT bring him into the park however.

So how was your day my dear world ? Have you had a great week so far ? Of course the Thanksgiving holiday is almost here. I did purchase our Thanksgiving turkey.

At my work they are already putting up the 16 and a half foot Christmas tree in the front lobby of my work and it is huge let me tell you. Are you getting ready for Christmas ???

At the moment I am reading the book "One Shot" by the writer Lee Child which is a very good book. Here is the website for the writer ----> http://www.leechild.com/ .

That's all for now. Take care everyone.

I do have a bit of news.....I will soon be getting a dog tomorrow which is a 3 and a half pound Jack Russel Terrier named Chip. He is a 4 month old puppy. I can't wait to see him. We are buying him from a lady which we found online. Today my folks and I went to PetSmart and bought a crate for him as well as a leash and a pad for his crate and some dog food and a toy which you can put his treat in and the dog plays with it until he finds a way to get to the treat. The dog's name is Chip which we are keeping that name. I do hope that Chip likes my folks and I. I can't wait until I get to see Chip in person. I think that having a new addition to our family will be a nice one. I will enjoy having a new addition to our family which is nice. I am going to pay for Chip and he will officially be ours tomorrow. I do hope that Chip will enjoy being with our family.

Anywho I did finish the book "Skipping Christmas" by John Grisham and I liked the book. I think that it is a great book to read anytime. I did start reading the book "The Wednesday Sisters" by the writer Meg Waite Clayton. So far I like the book and I will have to let you know how it goes.

I have been doing some reading of a book called "Unhallowed Ground" by the writer Heather Graham since its getting to be Halloween. The book was pretty good it was a mystery. I just finished it today and I have to say that I highly recommend it. I think that Heather Graham is a great writer. I just started another book called "Skipping Christmas" by the writer John Grisham. Of course its not Christmas just yet but it soon will be. Are you getting ready for Christmas ??? A New Camper....

Hello dear world
Good evening everyone. I hope you all had a really nice Saturday. It was a little cool today in my neck of the woods. This morning my folks and I and my niece's went for breakfast at Chick-Fil-A. The breakfast there is always good.
After eating my folks and I and my niece's went to Peco Camper's which is in Tucker, Georgia. We got a brand new Coachmen RV which is quite nice. There is a guy who works there named Adam. He did a really great walk through with us to help us learn about the camper. The Coachmen RV is a 33 footer and it is a really nice camper trailer. I can't wait to go camping in it. My auntie boobie and my uncle tony came over for a few minutes to see it and they liked it. When we got home we spent quite a bit of time in the camper. It has a lot of room and space which is conveinent for my family and I. I think we will enjoy quite a lot. The inside looks really amazing as well as the outside. The RV was the one that I had picked out when I first saw it at PECO Camper's.
So how was your day my dear world ? Did you have a really nice Saturday ? I do hope that all is well in your neck of the woods ? I hope that you are having a really nice weekend. I hope that you and your loved ones are all well and I will talk to you again soon.
Take care

News For Friday....

Hello dear world

Good evening everyone. How is everyone today ? I hope you are all well. Did anyone miss me ? I hope you all had a great week. I have been working as usual. It was a rainy day today in Georgia.

Anywho...I have started reading the book "Prayers For Sale" by Sandra Dallas. The book is really really really good. The book starts off in the year 1936. There is a woman in the book named Hennie Comfort who is 86-years-old. Hennie lives in the high altitude of the Rocky Mountains in Middle Swan, Colorado. At Hennie's gate is a sign reading "Prayers For Sale". Its here that she meets 17-year old Nit who asks for a prayer of her own. Despite the sign Hennie does NOT sell prayers instead she gives them freely to those who need them. Nit has just moved with her husband to Middle Swan, Colorado. Apparently Nit before moving to Middle Swan she lost a baby. Hennie also lost a child. I like reading Prayers For Sale its a really interesting book. Hennie and Nit are interesting people and I can't wait to read more of the book.

In other news my coworker's and I have been sending my other coworker Francis get well cards since she is still out of work on sick leave. She is still out taking radiation treatments since she had a lumpectomy to take out a mass in her breast which had cancer in it. They are giving her radiation just to be on the safe side. She will be returning to work in November. I sure have missed her. She always made us laugh and I still talk to her on the phone. I can't wait to have her back at work to share time with her. A lot of other people miss her as well.

Of course the weather is changing and it seems that Winter is on its way. The seasons have been changing so quickly. How is the weather in your neck of the woods ? I hope things are well in your part of the world ?

You will be happy to know that my family and I will soon be getting a new dog. We are trying to look at getting a Jack Russell Terrier which is a dog we have been wanting. I have been wanting to get a new dog. I will always miss my other dog Hobo who went missing a while back. I think it will be nice to have another dog around the house again. I am so excited to think about getting a new addition to our family.

I do hope that you all have a great weekend ahead. It has been a really long week and I am looking forward to the weekend. All is well here in my neighborhood. That's all for now.

I'll talk to you again soon.

Anywho...I am still reading the book "Rough Weather" by Robert B. Parker. The book is pretty good. I really like Spenser who is a private detective. He has a partner who is a guy named Hawk who I also like. They are trying to figure out who kidnapped this woman's daughter. So far different people keep turning up having gotten murdered. I am enjoying the book a lot and Robert is a great writer.

My next book I am about to start reading is "Prayers For Sale" by Sandra Dallas. I heard that it is a wonderful story about the friendship between two women. I have NEVER read it so I am hoping that it is as good as I've heard. The cover looks nice and so far I have to say that I think that it looks interesting.

I have been reading a lot of books recently. I am a huge fan of reading books it is something of a hobby of mine. I have always liked to read. So my dear world have you read any good books lately ? Do share....

So how are things in your part of the world ? Are you busy going to work these days ? I hope all is well where you are. I do hope that you have a great week ahead. I shall return with more news.

Take care everyone

Saturday News.....

Hello everyone

Good evening all !!!!!!!! How is everyone today ? I hope you all had a nice Saturday. It has been rather cold in my neck of the woods lately. I guess Winter has officially arrived.

Anywho...today my niece's and I went to Blockbuster video. I got a movie called "The Merry Gentleman" by Michael Keaton. Here is the link if you want to check it out ---> http://www.themerrygentlemanmovie.com/ . I will have to let you know how it was after I see it. My oldest niece got a scary movie called "Trick 'r Treat" and Razortooth. My youngest niece Megan got a Scooby Doo movie which she wanted.

I and my mom saw the movie "The Merry Gentleman" and we both liked it. I thought that Michael Keaton did a great job in the movie. He was also quite nice looking in the movie. I am hoping that this movie gets an academy award. I also think that Michael Keaton should get a ton of awards for the movie and his performance which was amazing. I highly recommend this movie as a must see.

The book I have been reading "Rough Weather" is pretty good. Robert B. Parker is a very good writer. I am enjoying it and I can't wait to see what happens next.

All of us at our house are connected with cellphones. My dad has one, I have one, my mom has one and my oldest niece has one so we are pretty much connected. It seems that everyone has a cellphone now a days and you can stay in touch with everyone. I use it a lot and I am enjoying my phone immensely. Cell phones are useful but they also can drive you a bit nuts. I am a bit addicted to texting which is a bit part of my cell phone use. If you would like my cell phone number please do feel free to send me an e-mail and I will be happy to give it to you.

So how was your day my dear world ? Is it cold in your neck of the woods ? I hope you are enjoying your weekend as I am. I just finished making some Halloween cupcakes with my youngest niece Megan which are quite good. They are the color of a pumpkin with Halloween sprinkles.

I hope you continue to have a spooktacular weekend

Update....

Hello everyone

Good evening everyone !!!!!!! I know I haven't been around in a few days. It has been raining and cold recently in Georgia. Well here I am.

Anywho...I woke up late this morning to go to work but I made it to work. Today was "HAPPY BOSS'S DAY" so I bought my boss a rather huge funny card with some lottery scratch off's which he enjoyed. I am glad he liked the card. My boss is a rather cool guy and I am glad that he saw that my coworker's and I thought of him on this day.

I also got a card for my mom since she had to go to the hospital for a surgery to see what was causing her to have bleeding in her urine recently. The doctor's didn't find anything bad thank goodness. She is home and recovering.

I did finish reading "The Sugar Queen" by Sarah Addison Allen which was a rather good book. I am about to start another book titled "Rough Weather" by the writer Robert B. Parker. From the cover it looks like a really good book. I can't wait to start reading it. In "The Sugar Queen" I liked Josey, Della Lee, Adam and Chloe in the book. You have to read it because it is well worth reading. I highly recommend it.

So how are you my dear world ? I hope that all is well in your neck of the woods. Is it cold in your part of the world as it is here ? That's all for now.

I want to wish you all an early "HAPPY HALLOWEEN". Have a spooktacular weekend !!!!!!!!!

Quite A Day Yesterday....

Hello everyone

Good evening everyone. How is everyone today ? I hope you are all well. I have to say that my day yesterday was filled. Yesterday my folks and I and my youngest niece Megan went to eat at Chick-Fil-A. The food is always good at Chick-Fil-A. We then headed out to Woodstock to see our trailer. When we got there we found out that the people had taken our trailer to a place called the Insurance Auto Auction so we could not see our trailer.

A few minutes later we went to a couple of camper places in Acworth, Georgia which was fun. I saw a camper trailer I liked. It rained a little bit but not heavily. After looking at a couple of camper's we went to my favorite place "Barnes and Noble". I ended up getting a book of poems my mom found for me at a bargain price, a couple of small green notebooks for my mom and I, a book titled "The Sugar Queen" by the writer Sarah Addison Allen. I also bought a camping magazine for my dad that he wanted. I have NEVER read any of Sarah's books so it will be nice to read a book by a writer that I have NEVER read before. I have to say that sometimes you have to step outside of your comfort zone and read a book by a writer that you have NEVER read before. Sometimes you have to read something new that you have never tried before.

Before we went home we stopped off at El Pollo Loco. I got (4) things of churro's which are sweet cinnamon stick's. The churro's were good. So how was your weekend my dear world ? I hope you had a really nice weekend. The weather today has NOT been bad it hasn't rained at all. How are things in your neck of the woods ?

That's all for now. I'll talk to you again later.

Inspired....

Hello everyone

Good evening everyone. How are all of you today ? This entry was definitely inspired by one simple thing....a card with a letter.

Today I received a card with a letter from a friend. It seems that yes I have done my fair share of e-mails, instant messaging and texting on my phone. The thing this I forgot how wonderful it is to simply sit down and write a letter. I have written to a few people just because. I find that I enjoy getting a card and a letter in the mail and some people call it......snail mail. No matter what you call it. I love finding a letter from someone out there in the world who wants to share a few thoughts with me.

This person mentioned a few books in the letter which I remembered that I had one of the books that she mentioned and I found it. I will definitely have to read the book she mentioned. She has such a way with words and with writing that I fail in comparison to her. She writes letters that I could NEVER write. She has such a poetic way of writing that it is wonderful to get a letter from her.

I don't really know if you my dear world enjoy letters and writing letters as I do. I find that when people are at the post office they are talking about sending off bills and inventory and supplies for this and that. No one mentions sending off a letter just because. I think it would be wonderful to hear that at the post office but it NEVER seems to happen.

Perhaps the art of letter writing is going away with the invention of such technology as the computer, the cell phone and the instant messaging that we have in the world but I think that is such a sad thing. I hope that I am wrong in thinking that the art of letter writing is becoming....extinct.

My dear world......if you would take a moment and get a card or a piece of paper and do me one little favor...sit down and write someone a letter.

Perhaps you might want to send me one. Take care and thanks for listening.

Sincerly Yours,

Monae

On A Lighter Note....

Hello dear world

Good evening everyone. How is everyone today ? I hope you are all well. We had a bit of drizzle yesterday but not a lot. It was a very busy day at work for me. My family and I are doing well.

My dad is NO longer a Deputy Sheriff at the courthouse. He does do work on the 4th floor where I work however. He is still retired but he is working part time. Anywho....on his way home from work yesterday he stopped off at the package store. His ranger truck did NOT start up so he called my mom. I went with my mom in the our Navigator with the jumper cables which also did NOT work. We took him home first to get this tools once we got to the package store. We then went back to the package store and he got the old battery out of his truck. We had to take him to the Auto Zone where he bought a new battery for his truck. We got back to the package store and my mom and I waited around until he installed the new battery into his truck which worked thank goodness.

When we got home my mom cooked some smoked sausage on a english muffin with some rice a roni noodles which are always good. I am still in the middle of reading "The Brass Verdict" by Michael Connelly. The book is quite good.

Today was another busy day at work for me. It did rain quite a bit today in my neck of the woods. In "The Brass Verdict" Harry Bosch and Mickey Haller decide to work together to solve the murder of Jerry Vincent. The guy who attorney Mickey Haller is defending in court is out on bail which is $20 million dollars. The story is quite interesting and I really like the book.

Its NOT supposed to rain tomorrow however. I will have to work tomorrow again. My favorite show "BONES" will be coming on television with David Boreanaz who is one of my favorite people on the show.

How are things in your neck of the woods ? I hope that things are going well. How has your week been ? I hope you all enjoy the rest of your week ahead. That's all for now. I will talk to you again soon

Take care everyone

I AM QUITE UPSET !!!!!!!!!!

Hello everyone

Good evening how is everyone today ? My folks and my older niece went out today to get groceries and a few other things. I stayed in with my niece Megan. It was a little cold in my neck of the woods. It is officially Autumn in Georgia and so I wanted to change my blog colors for the season. How do you like the color ?

Anywho....I am a little upset for a particular reason. Some might NOT know that I am a huge huge Jane Austen fan. I have to say that I am boiling mad at the fact that there are some books being written which I can't say I like. I do like books don't get me wrong but a few writers have gone too far.

My Jane Austen favorites are being turned into horror books which is way way way over the limits of my liking. I saw in "Barnes and Noble" that Jane Austen's "Sense and Sensibility" is being turned into "Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters". I also saw that my most favorite "Pride and Prejudice" is being turned into "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" which I think is wrong. I can't say that I like the fact that my Jane Austen classics are being turned into a horror flick instead of being kept as a great classic piece of literature. What is it about classics that they have to be turned into the latest theater horror flick ? I am absolutely NOT happy about this change.

I am sorry for going off on a rant but I have to say that there is something wrong about such change. Why can't writer's enjoy a great piece of writing without wanting to turn it into the latest Zombie flesh eating and scary sea monster piece's of art ? I think that these writer's should appreciate a great piece of writing instead of turning them into a horrific piece of so-called whatever it is book. I am disturbed by this latest turn of events. What is going on in the world that Jane Austen's writing has to be changed into something that is becoming so hard to recognize anymore by readers such as myself ?

Can't a great classic be kept as what it is anymore ??? What is going on with all of these writers ??? Can't a decent writer recognize that if something IS NOT broken why fix it if it does NOT need fixing ?

Sincerly,

This upset reader in Georgia

I Love Saturdays....

Hello everyone

Good evening to everyone !!!!!!! How is everyone today ? I hope you are all well. I have so much to share with you that I don't know where to begin. Where to begin ? Where to begin ?

Well a whole new month is here. September went by fast. Anywho...I finished reading "Olive Kitteridge" by Elizabeth Strout. I think that the book was quite good. I find that I liked Olive Kitteridge and I think that she wasn't a bad person at all. I think that Elizabeth Strout is a terrific writer and I hope that she writes more books like Olive Kitteridge.

The book I am reading now is "The Brass Verdict" by the writer Michael Connelly. In the story is a man named Mickey Haller who is a defense attorney. In the book Mickey's former colleague Jerry Vincent is killed and Mickey inherits his biggest case yet which is defending a Hollywood producer accused of multiple murders. So far the book is pretty good.

Today my folks and I and my niece's went to a place called "PECO Camper's" which is located in Tucker, Georgia. We looked inside several camper's with one of the guy's who work's there. We did see some we liked but in the end we found a Coachmen camper that we fell in love with especially my dad. We might just end up getting a new camper pretty soon as the insurance company contacts my parents about our camper that ended up getting trashed in the flood in Woodstock.

After the camper place we drove to Kohl's. my niece Megan and I went to JoAnn's. I found some sticker's I like and I bought her some stickers she liked. When we left JoAnn's we went out to eat at "La Parrilla" Mexican restaurant. The food is always good there. I got a chicken quesadilla with a side of avocado. The quesadilla was quite good. There's always people at La Parrilla.

Earlier in the day after JoAnn's we went to "Dick's Sporting Goods Store". My dad spent half the time there looking at fishing poles. My niece's and I just looked around in the store.

We also went to my favorite store "BARNES & NOBLE". My mom found me a book by my most favorite writer Nora Roberts titled "High Noon" which she found for me upon entering the bookstore. I also got me the book "Prayers For Sale" by the writer Sandra Dallas. I also purchased a bookmark with my member's card which comes in handy for buying books there.

So how was your day my dear world ? I hope you had a really nice Saturday as I did. How are things in your neck of the woods ? I hope that you all had a nice start to your weekend. I do love Saturday's !!!!!!!!!

Take care everyone

News For Wednesday....And Great News

Hello everyone

Good evening everyone !!!! How are you all ? I hope you are all well. It was another day at work for me. It seems that it is now Autumn in my neck of the woods. It is getting a little cooler these days.

Anywho...I have some rather late breaking great news. I have joined the technological age and gone high tech. I am for the very first time a proud owner of a Samsung Impression phone from AT&T. Yes I am now a woman with a cell phone and I am learning how to text and send text. I love the look of it and I am definitely learning that it has quite a few gadgets and gizmo's and what have you. I am now a part of the cell phone population of zillion's apparently. Apparently a lot of people have cell phone's and now I have one. Can you believe it ??? My boss will probably tell me that I can't be on the phone a lot. I am definitely learning to enjoy the look of it.

I am in the middle of reading the book "Olive Kitteridge" by Elizabeth Strout. I didn't like the woman Olive Kitteridge at first but I am finding that she is a person who deserves a lot of respect and I am liking her more and more. The other people in the story are quite interesting. There is a lot of mention of people and doughnuts in the story. I have to say that Elizabeth Strout is a very talented and wonderful writer. If you haven't read "Olive Kitteridge" you need to do so immediately. It is well worth reading and I highly recommend it as a must read book.

So how was your day dear world ? How are things in your part of the world ? I hope you are having a great week. Do keep me posted and I will talk to you again soon.

Good night !!!!!!!!!

A Wonderful Day.....And A Dinner Out

Hello everyone

Good evening all !!!!!!!! How is everyone today ? I hope you are all well. You might be wondering where I've been. It was dark and raining quite hard yesterday. My mom and I and my niece's stayed home and watched some scary movies on television. We watched the movie "The Mist" which was good in the beginning but the ending was not all that good. We also watched the scary movie "Carrie" which was quite good and scary. My dad on the other hand went to a RV show and he looked at a few RV's which he liked. I think we will end up getting another one.

Anywho....earlier today my mom and dad took took some branches off a tree in our front yard which did NOT want to give. He even used his Ranger truck which it still did NOT want to give. He eventually got it down. My older niece and I also helped to try and pull it down.

A few minutes ago we just returned from a nice dinner out at "Red Lobster" and yes I treated my family to dinner. We all had the Ultimate Feast which comes with shrimp, a Lobster tail, a side item and a salad and some crab legs which was quite good. My oldest niece had the shrimp plate and my youngest niece Megan we got her a big mac from McDonald's which she likes. I also ordered the Ultimate Fondue which is a bread bowl of some crab meat and a mixture of cheese. We all enjoyed our meal out and they liked going to dinner. I like going to Red Lobster the food is always good and we have fun going out together.

You might want to know that I am reading the book "The Associate" by the writer John Grisham. He writes many great legal thriller's which I like. I finished reading "Mercury In Retrograde" which was a good book. I like reading books by John Grisham he is a wonderful writer and I am almost finished reading it. In the story there is a guy named Kyle McAvoy who is being followed by some powerful operatives who want him to spy on his own law firm. There is another guy in the story named Baxter Tate who was murdered perhaps because of an incident back when he was in a university. Kyle is also involved in the incident and Kyle has went and gotten himself a lawyers to stop those who are following him. I'll have to let you know how it goes.

So my dear world how was your weekend ? I do hope that all is well in your neck of the woods. I hope that you have a great week ahead. It was a really beautiful day in my neck of the woods. I'll talk to you again soon.

Take care everyone

Some Rather Sad News....

Hello everyone

Good evening everyone. How is everyone today ? I hope you are all well. It was another day at work for me and yes we got some sunshine again for a change.

I have some rather sad news to report. The RV that my mom and dad purchased had to be taken to Woodstock for a repair. The sad part is that due to the flooding there our Earthbound RV is under (8) eight feet of water and so is the whole RV park. My dad is quite disappointed about our RV. We only had it for a short time. I still can't believe that our RV is gone forever. Luckily my parents have insurance on our RV but it is still upsetting. We only went camping in it one time and now it is at the RV park underwater.

I am sure other people are having it hard with their homes and businesses underwater due to the flood. It is sad all around when something like a natural disaster happens. It is all over the news but we had to go through losing our RV which was a little something special for my dad's retirement.

How are things for you my dear world ? I hope that things are well for you where you are. I hope that everyone is okay. I am here and doing well. My mom is feeling a little better but she is going through some pain. She has to go back to the doctor on Friday and hopefully she can get to feeling much much much better. I hope you are all having a good week so far.

Keep me posted on how things are in your neck of the woods. I'll talk to you again soon.

Take care

News For Tuesday....

Hello everyone

Good evening everyone !! How is everyone today ? I hope you are all well. A lot of things have been going on....nature wise. Recently we got a ton of rain in Atlanta, Georgia and in other parts of the county. A lot of the counties where I live got flooded due to the rain we got. In my neck of the woods of Clayton County we made it through the rain without any flooding thank goodness. I am sure that it has been hard for those who got a lot of flooding in their area. I hope that the rain passes without anymore flooding and causing anymore damage. A lot of people got killed due to the flooding which is quite sad. I hope that everyone is now safe and out of harm's way. I am sure that it will take time to clean up the damage of the water and flooding which I am sure will take its toll. Its been all over the news about the rain and flooding.

Anywho....we didn't get any rain in my part of the world for a change. It was another day at work for me of course. My mom has been under the weather which I will talk about later.

How are things in your part of the world ? I hope all is well. Has everyone been having a pretty good week so far ? I just wanted to drop in and let you know that I am fine and I am surviving in my part of the world.

I am still reading "Mercury In Retrograde" which is a pretty funny and very well written book. I purchased the book "The Associate" by John Grisham which I heard is a good book I will have to wait and see. That's about it for now. I'll talk to you all again soon.

Take care

Sunday Update.....

Hello everyone

Good evening all !!!!!!!! How is everyone today ? I hope you are all well. Early this morning my folks and I went to church which is at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church. My niece's went to a birthday party. Mass was nice they have a religious store at our church which is nice. Me and my mom got some bracelets with the saints on it which we like. I really like the bracelets.

Anywho....after church we went to eat at IHOP and I had some Nutella Crepe's without banana's or strawberry topping. The Nutella Crepe's were quite tasty and I really have to say that I like the taste of Nutella. I also had some eggs and some bacon and sausage which I gave to my dad. Here is the link to check out Nutella ------> http://www.nutellausa.com/

After eating we went to a couple of store'w which weren't open we then ended up going to the JCPenney Outlet store where I bought a coffee colored shawl which I liked and some grey jogging pants which I wanted. My mom also got her some jogging pants as well. My dad bought a dress shirt and a tie which he wanted.

Once we left the store we rode down to the hair cutting place called "Great Clips" and we all got our hair cut. They do a great job at cutting my hair but I am sad to report that Great Clips will soon be moving to a different location. I don't know what I will do without my Great Clips place its where I go to get my hair cut. They did a wonderful job today cutting my hair and I have to say that I enjoy my hair short and I don't want it to grow out again.

Anywho....we are home now. How was your day dear world ?? I hope you had a really nice weekend. By the way are you ready for Christmas ??? I am wondering are you prepared for the Christmas season yet ?? Have you done any Christmas shopping ??? I have NOT done any Christmas shopping yet but I know that pretty soon the month of December will be here.

The countdown to Christmas is officially here !!!!!!!!!!

That's all for now. I'll talk to you again soon.

Wednesday's News....

Hello everyone

Good evening everyone how are all of you ? I hope everyone is well. Everyone has been remembering the very great actor Patrick Swayze. He will be missed by a lot of people. I think he was a tremendously great actor, human being and a very talented person. We will all miss you Patrick.

Anywho...today was a very wet rainy day in Georgia and I haven't been able to go walking since its been raining. I will have to start back once the rain is gone.

A lot of people at my work have really liked my hair being short. They also like the light color that I put in my hair. I also have a little bit of curl in my hair which they like. But one of my coworker's has to sometimes say really mean things to me or about me to people. I have NEVER brought it up to her but I think that its wrong that she has to go out of her way to be mean. I think its terrible that she has to say things or that she has to be rude. Am I wrong for feeling this way ????

I am also trying to cut back on certain things like candy, chocolate, cookies and drinking soda. I'm trying to eat better but sometimes its hard. Of course tomorrow my favorite show "BONES" will be returning to FOX which I am excited about. I am also getting into the show "THE VAMPIRE DIARIES" which will be on at the same time as BONES. I have been getting into "THE VIEW" which I have been taping since I have to be at work when its on.

How was your day my dear world ? How are things in your neck of the woods ? Are you getting as much rain as we are. They say on the news that it will rain for the next couple of days. I wouldn't mind a little sunshine right now. Its all grey and cloudy and I really miss the warm sunshiny days of Summertime.

I do hope you will all have a great rest of the week. I will talk to you again soon. Take care everyone.
