Just A Little News.......

Hello dear world

How are you ? I wanted to come and share my night with you. Earlier tonight there was an International Night at my church which is St. Philip Benizi. People from all over the world brought in foods from different lands and different countries. There were people and foods from Germany, Slovakia, Malta, Italy, Salvador, Mexico, Sweden, the Philippines and many other places that I have NEVER been to before.

There was also an El Mariachi band there that I liked listening to. There were also some people there that came all the way from Africa that danced to the music that comes from the places they come from in Africa. I got to see what kind of clothing people wear in parts of the world that I have never seen before. Tonight I also listened to people speaking in languages that I have never heard before. It was interesting to see parts of the world that I have never visited. My dear world there are so many things that I heard, seen and tasted. It was like stepping on a plane and going all over the world in one night. I had a really wonderful time.

I really wish you all could have been with me. So my dear world how was your night ? I hope your Sunday will be a nice one for all of you. I will talk to you again soon.

Good-night my dear friends.....Sweet Dreams

It's Friday !!!!!!!!

Hello dear world

How are you this wonderful Friday ? I am doing well. Today was another day at work for me but it was a really slow day so it was fine. The weather was really rather cool but it turned out nice later in the day.

Anyway....during my lunch break I went out with two of my coworkers who are both women. The three of us have fun together and today was another one of those days. I went with them to a outdoor yard sale which was being held by a 4-H group selling all kinds of objects and things. We looked around at the yard sale which was fun. Do you like yard sales dear world ? I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE yard sales you never know what your going to find. After a while of looking around I found a picture that I thought would look great hanging in my room. The picture was originally priced at $5 but I got it for $4. It wasn't a big discount but it was a little discount none the less. It is a picture of a small town something like somewhere you might see in Vermont. It has little pictures of Antique stores and stores which sell Jams & Jellies. The picture also has ducks and cows on it. It looks like something you might call "Country Style". My bedroom has that rustic kind of look to it. I painted my room some time ago a nutty shade of brown and I have little rustic items in my room and so I thought the picture would be nice in my room. There was a yard sale being held down the street but we had to get back to work so we were not able to go to it. Have you been to any yard sales lately dear world ? I usually go to yard sales with my family when we see one.

So that's enough about me and my day how was your day dear world ? How was the weather in your neck of the woods ? I hope that you are all well and life is treating nicely.

By the way.....just in case you were wondering my DVD player is doing fine. I will be watching a movie called "Amelie" which is a foreign film but the subtitles come on the bottom of the screen in the movie so everyone can understand and enjoy it. Have you seen any new movies recently ? A few minutes ago I was reading Stevie's journal and he included the name of a movie I have been wanting to see titled " Notting Hill ". I will try to go to the video store and rent it so I can see it. He also included a song and a video by Shania Twain that I didn't know about until I read his journal. The song is called "You've Got A Way" which I thought was beautiful and the video of it was also nice.

P.S. if you are in the mood for some spooky Halloween treats stop by a journal titled "Halloween". Here is a link to it so you can get a jump on the ghosts and goblins -----> http://journals.aol.com/memes121/Halloween/ .

Until then dear world........good night !!!!!!

My Day.....

Hello dear world....

How are you ? Of course it was another day at work for me and the weather was really wonderful plenty of blue skies and a cool breeze. Fall has arrived and I love it.

Anyway.....during my lunch break I was at a Kroger near my work with one of my coworkers. While I was shopping a guy came up to me and he said he recognized me from somewhere but he didn't know where. He told me his name was Anthony and I shook his hand. Once again Anthony asked me where he recognized me from and I told him where I work. Anthony said he didn't recognize me from where I work. He then asked me where I am from originally and I told him California. He then told me that he had never been to California. He said that it was going to bother him all day that he couldn't remember where he recognized me from. He was a really nice looking guy. He was dressed perfectly in a nice suit and a tie which matched his suit. He was on the rather tall side and he had a nice voice. I can tell you that his smile was unbelievable and he smelled wonderfully. He had on cologne but I don't know what the name of his cologne was. After talking to him before he left the store he waved at me on his way out. The sad part is I didn't give him my telephone number and I didn't ask him for his. I always think of the the right things to say with a guy that I have met and liked talking to at the wrong moment which is when he is long gone.....why is that ?

On a different note there is a really sweet lady named Helen who writes the journal "My Everyday Life" who recently posted pictures a beautiful bridge she visited with her husband. You have to go over to her journal and see it for yourself. Here is the link to her place ------> http://journals.aol.com/madcobug/MyEverydayLife/ .

There is also a really great guy named DP who also keeps a journal titled "The Wisdom of a Distracted Mind. In one of his entries I found out that today is "Ask A Stupid Question Day". So my dear world go ahead and ask me a stupid question. I also hope that your day was a nice one. Let me know how your doing.

I'll talk to you again soon.

Your friend, M.

A Letter To You Dear World.....

Hello dear world,

Where to start ? Well earlier this evening it was about 8:00 p.m. and I was watching my favorite show "Bones" but I wasn't able to keep my mind on it because I was much too excited about my new DVD player and I'm sure you want to know why. Well, earlier this week I had ended up at the video store and I picked up one certain movie......."The Lake House" if you haven't seen it here is a link -----> http://thelakehousemovie.warnerbros.com/ . I sat and watched it and I loved it. It was funny, romantic and touching. I could probably watch it a dozen more times and never tire of it. You just have to see it dear world.

Of course it was another beautiful day here in my neck of the woods. I really wish you all could be here to see the blue skies that I see. Anyway don't think me weird dear world but I just had to come and talk to you. How are you by the way ? I had to come and send you a letter and let you know that I'm still here.....

I shall be waiting to hear from you....

Good-night my dear world. Sweet Dreams.

Young People Really Do Like Me....

Hello Dear World

How are you ? I am doing rather well. It was another beautiful day in my neck of the woods. It was also another day at work for me. Let me tell you how my day began......There is a woman that I know at my work who brings her grandson along so she can drop him off at school. He has always liked me since the first time we met. He is a very young boy but he seems to have liked me from the start. He is really quite smart and he has a great sense of humor. He always likes talking to me whenever he sees me. This morning he asked his grandmother if he could see where my office is. He found my office where I clock in and put my things for the day. He came tapping at the door looking for me and yes he found me. He wanted to talk to me before his grandmother took him to school which I don't mind. I like talking to him as well. I can't explain why he likes me he just does. His grandmother says that he talks about me quite a bit which I found rather nice. His grandmother is a very wonderful lady as well. Her grandson is a very sweet kid and I will continue to enjoy his visits whenever he likes. Pretty soon he will be off to High School and he will most likely forget me with gaining friends, joining sports and all the things he will want to do in school. I know I will miss him when he doesn't ride with his grandmother anymore so I will enjoy him until then.

In my other news earlier this evening my family and I went to a new Brandsmart which opened up not so very far from our community which was fun. My family and I all got to do a little bit of shopping. I got a DVD / CD Player. My oldest niece got a television for her room and my youngest niece got a DVD Player for the dining room where she watches cartoons and DVD's and she also got a new movie which is something of a cartoon. My mom got a slow cooker and a curling iron. While I was there I saw some people that I know from my work which was nice. All in all it was a fun evening for all of us.

Anyway......I thought I would share the ( 5 ) weird things about myself in case you wanted to know.

1. When I open up a chocolate candy bar I open up the wrapper and I don't just start eating it. I take quite a bit of time to smell the candy bar from one end tothe other.

2. I get excited about movies that I have seen more than 20 times like I have never seen them before.....for example.......84 Charing Cross Road, You've Got Mail, Bridget Jones's Diary just to name a few.

3. I eat cereal without milk.

4. I have bought every single movie with Keanu Reeves in it.

5. I like chocolate covered pretzels.

What else would you like to know dear world ?

By the way......did you know that its "Banned Books Week" ? Here are a few of the most frequently challenged books....

1. To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee

2. A Light In The Attic by Shel Silverstein

3. Harry Potter ( series ) by J.K. Rowling

4. Ordinary People by Judith Guest

5. Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut

6. Lord of The Flies by William Golding

7. The Adventure of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain

8. The Chocolate War by Robert Cormier

9. Of Mice And Men by John Steinbeck

10. The Terrorist by Caroline Cooney

-------------------------------------------

So my dear world how was your day ? How are things in your neck of the woods ? I hope that your evening will be a good one as it was mine. I shall return to talk to you again soon.

Good-night and Sweet Dreams !!!!!!

Saturdays Are Nice

Hello Dear World

How are you ? I and my family are doing fine. Today the weather was once again lovely. I went outside on the deck a couple of times to enjoy the great weather we are having in my neck of the woods. A few hours later my aunt and uncle dropped by at the house for a little visit which was nice.

A few minutes ago my family and I watched a movie called "Inside Man" with Denzel Washington and Clive Owen. Denzel and Clive are both very talented actors in my opinion. The movie was great. Jodie Foster was also in the movie. I can say that they all deserve awards for the movie because my family and I loved it. I can also tell you that Clive and Denzel are very nice looking men and I'm sure other women would happily agree with me on that one. Anyway......My folks also rented Annapolis, Friends With Money and some movies for my nieces as well. During the movie we all ate a little movie theater popcorn. I just think that a movie just isn't the same without popcorn. Have you seen any new movies dear world ?

My dear world.....I came upon a blog that I just have to share with you. The blog is titled "Lessons from Lou" written by a wonderful lady named Cathy. You have to read this blog because it will touch your heart. Here is a link ------> http://lessonsfromlou.blogspot.com/ . Drop over and I'm sure you will be touched as I was. Send Cathy a few words of your own. Thanks.

Enough about me......How was your day ? How is the weather in your neck of the woods ? Did you like Saturdays as I do ? I'll let you get back to your weekend. I will talk to you again soon.

Have a good night......Bye.

AUTUMN ARRIVES TOMORROW !!!!!!!!!!

Hello Dear World

How are you ? Before I begin let me say that Autumn officially arrives tomorrow......Yeah !!!! I love Autumn it is one of my favorite times of the year. Before I go on about why I love Autumn let me tell you about my day. The weather was rather cool today but it was still a nice day. Today I also got to see a guy that works at the same place I do. He is a guy that I have a "HUGE" crush on. I have had a crush on him since I started my job. He is such a great charming and all around nice guy. He goes out of his way to tell me good morning and to make conversation with me. He doesn't know that I have a crush on him. No one else knows that I have a crush on him either. Let me tell you he has such an amazing smile and his eyes... are beautiful. He is a really nice looking guy. I make it a point to talk to him because I like him though he doesn't know. Anyway...I just thought I would share that with you.

On another happy note.....Autumn is on its way. Here are a few reasons why I love it....

1. Its colors

2. The leaves changing

3. Pumpkins in the yard

4. Hot cocoa

5. Apple pie w/ vanilla ice cream

6. Warm blankets

7. Halloween

8. Caramel apples

9. Thanksgiving

10. scarves

I also came upon a poem by Carly who I have told you about previously. I really liked the poem she shared titled "Blackberry Eating" by Gallway Kinnel. I thought you would like to read it as well.

Blackberry Eating

I love to go out in late September

among the fat, overripe, icy, black blackberries

to eat blackberries for breakfast

the stalks very prickly, a penalty

they earn for knowing the black art

of blackberry making; and as I stand among them

lifting the stalks to my mouth, the ripest berries

fall almost unforbidden to my tongue,

as words sometimes do, certain, peculiar words

like strengths or squinched,

many-lettered, one-sylabled lumps,

which I squeeze, squince open, and splurge well

in the silent, startled, icy, black language

of blackberry.....eating in late September.

--------Gallway Kinnel

So dear world how was your day ? Do you enjoy Autumn as I do ? I hope you are all doing well. I will talk to you soon.

Good-night.

Longing......

Hello Dear World

I just wanted to share something with you.

----------------------------------------------

Longing

I want.....

to breathe you in

taste you

lie down next to you

feel you

spend my days and nights with you

walk with you

go to places with you

be alone with you

falling

head over heels

in love

with you

again and again

and

again

because

I am

completely

filled with

nothing

but

longing

always

and

endlessly

for...........

Fall.

P.S. Carly in her journal Ellipsis....Suddenly Carly included a quote in her blog that I wanted to share with you as well.

"Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams." -- Ashley Smith

My Day.......

Hello Dear World.....

How are you ? It was another day at work for me. What did I do today ? Well during my lunch break I went to the store with my coworkers. While I was looking around there was a nice looking guy on the same aisle as me. He was trying on a hat he was telling me he was considering buying. While he was looking in the mirror he asked me how it looked and I told him it looked nice. I wanted to tell him how nice looking he was but I didn't know what he was going to say. For a few minutes he left the aisle but then he came back with the hat on as he once again looked in the mirror. He really looked good without the hat on but I didn't tell him that though I should have. I'm never sure what to say to a guy when I'm talking to him.

Later on after I got off of work I went to a Volleyball game that my oldest niece had at her school. She is #6 on her team by the way. I am sad to report that they lost but they came really close to winning. My niece played really good I was proud of her. She is really learning and she is enjoying being on the Volleyball team.

So dear world how was your day ? It was a really amazing day here in my neck of the woods. The weather was wonderful and I had a pretty nice day. I hope your day was as nice as mine. That's all for now I will talk to you tomorrow.

Good-night.

Some Notes......

Hello Dear World,

How are you ? Work was busy for me but the weather was nice. We got a few minutes of rain but it didn't last long.

Last night a show that I watch came on called "Anthony Bourdain In Beirut". Here is a link -----> http://www.anthonybourdain.com/ . Here is another link ------> http://travel.discovery.com/fansites/bourdain/bourdain.html .Anthony and his crew were in Beirut. During the filming of the show some bombings occurred. There was quite a lot of chaos going on. Anthony, his crew and many other people in the area had to go to another part of Beirut to escape the bombings. Due to the trouble in Beirut many citizens, Anthony and his crew were evacuated out of the area by the military. I didn't know things were bad in Beirut. I have NEVER heard President Bush address the problems going on over there. Anthony had talked to some young people about what was going on. The young men and women talked about how they have to worry about the safety of their lives. The people in Beirut are affected by terrorism, the people in Iraq are affected by terrorism and the people in New York are affected by terrorism. On September 11th I was affected by terrorism and last night I was once again affected by terrorism. Here are some questions that I am left with after watching the show dear world.......

1. What is the solution to all of this ?

2. Can there be a peaceful resolution to terrorism ?

I am left with more questions than answers. So how was your day dear world ? Am I wrong for feeling this way ? I just had to come and share my thoughts with you. I hope you all will have a wonderful week.

As always

Your friend,

M.

My Sunday....

Buon giorno

How are you dear world ? It was a really nice Sunday for me. My family is also doing well. There is still no word of Hobo but I'm sure where ever he is he's happy. He was a happy dog so I'm sure whoever has him is enjoying as we did. We all miss him and we will always remember him. I am sure he is loved where ever he is and who he is with.

Anyway.....a few minutes ago I was sitting in my room, drinking a cup of coffee in the coffee cup that I bought at the moving sale we went to. I was also watching some of my favorite movie "Under The Tuscan Sun" with Diane Lane. I can't say that I have ever been to Italy or that I speak much Italian. From the movie it looks like a beautiful place. Here is a link to the movie ------> http://www.apple.com/trailers/touchstone/underthetuscansun/ .

I can say that it was another beautiful day here in Georgia and yes I am enjoying it. Dear world I am longing for Fall. Pretty soon Thanksgiving and Christmas will be here. I really love the holidays. I will talk about the holidays a little later.

So how was your Sunday ? What did you do today ? I hope you are all well. Its getting to be late in the evening here in my neck of the woods. Of course tomorrow another week starts for me at work. I'll let you know how my week goes later. I am sure that I kept you long enough. I will let you get back to your evening.

By the way......if you look at the stars tonight know that I am looking at them and saying good-night to all of you my dear friends out there in the world.

Feeling Better.......

Hello Dear World !!!!

How are you ? First of all let me say thank you for all of your kind words and heartfelt thoughts about what I have been going through but I am happy to report that I am feeling better. My mom is also doing much better as well. She can still eat certain foods she likes including potato salad with light mayonnaise. She can also eat pot roast and other items that are on a list her doctor gave her.

I am also happy to report that the weather here in Atlanta, Georgia has been quite lovely. The sky is the color like that of blueberry cotton candy and the clouds also look like perfect balls of terry cloth cotton. The wind is also perfectly cool which makes it for a beginning to a great weekend. I can't say that I miss the heat. Anyway.......earlier today my folks and I as well as my youngest niece went over to JoAnn's which is always always fun. We seem to find little things to buy at JoAnn's. They also had Halloween decorations on sale which we love to look at. I bought some spooky Halloween stickers and my folks bought some other things. My youngest niece saw a tiara she liked so I bought it for her. She wants to be a princess for Halloween which is great since we already have some other things to go along with her tiara. Halloween always reminds me that my favorite time of the year is coming......which is Fall. It will soon be time for hot apple cider, falling leaves, pumpkins in the yard, candy apples and hot cocoa. By the way what's your favorite time of year ?

Time to rewind back to what I was saying ------<<<<<Okay after JoAnn's we went to a house we had passed on our way to JoAnn's which was having a ........moving sale. We stopped off and we looked around and also bought some items at the sale. They had where you could put whatever you wanted in a paper grocery bag all for just $5.00 which we liked. We filled the bag with lots of things we liked. I bought a little chair decorated for Halloween and a coffee cup. My mom bought some Christmas bags that you can zip closed. We also bought a pumpkin that you can stick a candle in. My dad bought some little Mattel race cars and some golf tees. My mom also found a little box that she wanted to put some items in so all in all it was really fun. Let me tell you dear world going out is a huge mood lifter and its fun to just get out and do things you like.

So dear world what did you do today and how is the weather in your neck of the woods ? I hope your weekend will be a nice one. I will talk to you again soon.

Byyyyyye !!!!!!!!!!!

A Terrible, Horrible, Sad Not At All Good Day.......

Hello Dear World.....

I'm not sure exactly where to start but this has been a really upsetting day for me. So many many things have turned me all around today. First let me say right now I am just feeling deeply sad and shook up. How to start......I guess at the beginning. Before I left work today I called my older sister who told me that our dog Hobo went missing. He still has not returned. I don't know if he wandered off or if someone came and took him. I have no idea where he is or if we will ever see him again. My nieces are upset as well. Right now I don't know if I will ever want another dog again after this. This has hit me hard.

On another sad note before getting home my dad told me that he had to take my mom to Kaiser because she wasn't feeling well. We got to Kaiser and she was in a room with an IV in her arm. After all of that apparently she was diagnosed with Diabetes. After taking the IV out of her arm they said she could go home. She will have to go back to Kaiser and see a Dietician. Not only does she have Multiple Sclerosis but she now has Diabetes. At Kaiser she was given a list by a doctor of what she could and could not eat. She also was told that she has to stick herself to check her blood sugar. After eating a dinner consisting of food she could eat. She then went to her room where she told me just a few minutes ago that she is feeling bad after learning the news. I can't imagine how she feels. I don't even know how I would feel. I imagine that I would break down and cry. I wish there was something I could do to make her feel better.

Dear world this day has really been hard for me. I don't know if I am comprehending everything that happened today. Right now I just feel drained and somewhat numb. There has been too much awful news in my neck of the woods dear world. I really don't know what will happen tomorrow.

Was your day anything like mine ? I just had to come and talk to you. Forgive me dear world. Thanks for listening.

Good-night.

Just Some Notes Of My Day.....

Hello Dear World.....Its me again. Something happened this morning at my work that I want to share with you. There's a guy that was working on the 2nd floor where I work and this morning he spoke to me in a very rude manner and I don't really know why. The thing is I have always been nice to him and I have always treated him with respect because I would want someone to do the same to me. He didn't apologize or anything about the things he said to me. My coworkers even said that he was wrong for the things he said to me. I really don't feel like I ever want to talk to him again am I wrong dear world ? I can say that there are a lot of nice people at my job that are great to be around but I just don't know why he was rude to me.

On a much different note it was a really dark and rainy day here in my neck of the woods. It seemed to rain for quite a while but the rain is gone at the moment but I don't know what it will be like tomorrow. I have really enjoyed the cool weather it seems like Summer has faded for a while so I will just enjoy this weather while it lasts.

On a much much much much happier note earlier this afternoon I stopped off at Kentucky Fried Chicken for my lunch break. As I was waiting in line a rather nice looking guy walked in and got in line and immediately started talking to me. At the time he and I were the only people in the place. Even though other people walked in he continued talking to me. Before he walked in I had my food already ordered so I was just waiting for my food. Once he had walked in and we got to talking he flirted with me by asking me if I wanted to go to his house and eat with him. I would have liked to have gone with him but sadly I had told him that I had to get back to work. Let me tell you he had the most amazing smile. Before I left I told him that it was nice talking to him and he also said that it was nice talking to me which I felt was really nice of him. The thing is once I walked out and got in the car I had realized that I had not asked him for his phone number which I wish I would have while we were talking. I can say that I wasn't nervous at all talking to him. He was really charming and funny he was the type of guy that I have always wanted to date. I really liked him he was such a nice guy. Even now I still remember his eyes and his smile which I have to say I liked the most about him. I really wish I could go back and talk to him again. I have to say that I have NEVER met a guy like him before. I just had to come and tell you about him dear world I hope you don't mind. I probably sound silly.

I am also happy to report that my favorite television show "Bones" came on once again. I really like the show starring one of my favorite actors David Boreanaz. Today I also started reading another book titled "Match Me If You Can" by a writer named Susan Elizabeth Phillips. So far the book is pretty good. I will let you know how the rest of the book goes later.

So dear world how was your day ? How is the weather where you are ? Did you get any rain as I did ? I just hope that you will all have a really great week. Of course tomorrow is another day of work for me and I will let you know how it goes.

As always.......I shall return.

Good-night.

My Day.....

Hello Dear World.......

How are you ? The days and nights here in Georgia have been wonderful and cool. The weather was between 66-69 degrees even the wind was cool. It seems like Summer has gone drifting off to some other place but I can't say that I mind. I love this type of weather where its nice to be outdoors now. Anyway....I'm sure you don't need to hear all about the weather.

Well do you remember when I told you about the earthquake tremors my mother and I felt. Well.....I read in the newspaper that residents of at least nine southeastern states - from Florida to South Carolina felt the tremors of the largest earthquake in 30 years beneath the Gulf of Mexico. By Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey had received reports of shaking, but no damage, from more than 5,600 people - many of the Atlanta area, more than 600 miles from the epicenter of the magnitude 6.0 quake. Seismologists say the quake, which occurred at 10:56 a.m. Sunday, was centered roughly 260 miles southwest of Tampa and more than 6 miles below the sea floor. No damage was reported onshore or to offshore oil platform or pipelines. Andrew Newman, assistant professor of earth and atmospheric sciences at Georgia Tech reported that it was a very large earthquake for the region but it was a long ways offshore. Newman also said that the quake occurred along a corridor of occasional seismic activity - more than a dozen shocks in the last 30 years that spans the Gulf from New Orleans to Cuba. It was also reported in the newspaper that powerful earthquakes in the eastern United States are rare, but when they do occur they are often felt over a wide area. I wonder if we will be getting any more tremors in my area.......Who knows.

In my other news......earlier today I finished reading a book titled "Flirting With Disaster" written by a wonderful writer named Sherryl Woods. It was a very interesting book to read I loved it from the moment I started reading it. One of my other coworkers wanted to read it so it is with her. As you know I do love to read books which reminds me that I haven't been to Barnes & Noble in quite a while I do miss it a lot. I came upon "Flirting With Disaster" at Walmart which is a good place to shop and find books.

A few hours earlier I watched "Jane Eyre" which is one of my favorite classic movies. It starred William Hurt and Charlotte Gainsbourg. It was made in 1996 by the way. I like watching classic movies like that. One of my other favorite movies came on Sunday afternoon called "Crossing Delancey" starring Peter Riegert who happens to make the movie a delight to watch. I could watch it a thousand times and never tire of it. I just thought you would like to know.

How are you dear world ? How is the weather in your neck of the woods these days ? At the moment its pretty late in the evening here in Atlanta so for now I will say........

Good-night and Sweet Dreams.

Just A Few Things....

Hello Dear World....

How are you this evening ? Being that today was the anniversary of September 11,2001 I just have a few words. I would like to say that my thoughts and prayers are with everyone who lost a loved one to 9-11 or anyone who was in New York at the time. I also would like to say to the many relief workers, firefighters and survivors of that tragic day that my heart goes out to all of you. I would also like to say that.......I have NOT forgotten and I shall always remember.

Lastly before I say goodnight......I had come upon some interesting journals one of them is titled "Beth's Front Porch" and the other is titled "Sunday Scribblings". In them I found some very interesting questions that I thought I would share with you.

1.) What is a good question ?

2.) What's your favorite question, or one that you may be mulling over right now ?

last but not least........

3.) What is it that you NEVER ever thought you would write ?

That's about it for now..........Sweet Dreams.

Today And What I Did Yesterday.....

Hello Dear World !!!!!!

How are you ? How has your weekend been ? Here I am....So far my Sunday has been rather nice. Let me tell you what I did yesterday evening....First I did some shopping. I went to a place called the "Tuesday Morning" store. At the store I bought some rather nice journals so I can write in them and report my doings back to you. I also bought some books one of them is titled "Loire Valley Sketchbook" and the other (2) books are titled "1,001 Reasons To Love Chocolate" and the other titled "The Book Of Chocolate".

After shopping I went to eat at a great restaurant known as "Longhorn Steakhouse". At Longhorn's I had a very delicious and mouthwatering 12 oz. Ribeye which was wonderful by the way. I also had some Longhorn mashed potatoes which they season excellently. The food at Longhorn Steakhouse is amazing. I loved the food and I can't wait to go back and eat there.

In some of my other news earlier this morning my mother and I felt some rather intense earthquake tremors which shook the house. There was quite a few of them. My father was at work at the time they happened. I don't know if other people felt the tremors in their homes. I haven't heard anything on the news about earthquake tremors in the area but my mother and I felt them and they were tremors.

Anyway......I am sure that guys who LOVE football are as happy as a kid in a candy store. The NFL has returned in full force and my dad is watching it with excitement. I can tell you honestly that I don't understand a lick of football. I don't know much about football but I try to watch and I still don't understand it. My father screams at the t.v. and I sit and wonder what he is screaming at. I must be the only one in the world who doesn't understand Football.

Anyway......how are you doing my dear world ? Anything new in your neck of the woods ? I hope your weekend has been good for you. I just thought I would pop in and let you know that I am doing well and enjoying my weekend off of work. Of course its back to work for me tomorrow which I will certainly tell you about.

A few minutes ago I came upon a blog titled "Journally Yours"-----> which is being written by a woman named Gemma. Here is a link to her site http://libragem007.blogspot.com/ . She keeps what she calls "The Red Notebook". In the notebook her husband wrote something really beautiful and it really touched me so I just had to share her site with you. You have to go over and read it its really amazing. I loved what he wrote to his wife Gemma. He wrote a question in her red notebook that I just have to share with you I hope she doesn't mind. Here is a question he wrote: What is it about writing that opening up or talking to someone would not solve ?

For me......I find that its easier to come and talk to all of you than it is to go and talk to one person even to talk to someone in my family about my thoughts I don't really know why. I just find that I can talk to all of you my dear world about the many things going on in my head at the time. All of you allow me to say things without judging me or questioning me about why I say the things that I say to all of you. I can be myself really with all of you. You my dear world have been so very kind and understanding so that's probably why I come and talk to you without hesitation. I want to thank you all for that and for being here to listen to me even if I'm a little silly sometimes. Thanks for all that you do.

That's about it for now.....I'll talk to you later. Have a good one.

Byyyyyye !!!!!!!!

Something A Little Disturbing.......

Hello Dear World.....

How are you ? I had to come and share something with you. A few minutes ago I found a little article on Forbes.com here is the link --------> http://money.aol.com/forbes/general/land_a_rich_man . In the article some women have recently written some guidebooks on "Landing a rich guy" let me repeat that some women have written some guidebooks on Landing a rich guy. A woman named Lisa Johnson is one of those women who recently wrote a guidebook titled "How To Snare A Millionaire". Another woman named Ginie Polo Sayles also wrote a guidebook titled "How To Marry Rich". Another woman named Leidra Lawson also wrote a guidebook titled "Sugar Daddy 101: What You Need To Know If You Want To Be A Sugar Baby".  Lisa Johnson wrote "We're genetically programmed to go after successful men". Lisa also wrote "Hang out where the wealthy do".

In the article there were 10 tips for landing a moneyed man. Here is what the tips were:

1. ) Bypass your local coffee joint and head straight to a coffee shop in the financial district.

2. ) Sign up as a volunteer.

3. ) Going to sporting events at the country club which are a must for singles seeking wealthy mates. No need to be a member.....just purchase a ticket, make sure it includes pavilion access because that's where rich men go.

4. ) Skim over the events boards at a high- end hotel.

5. ) Get involved in politics. Getting on a committee is your ticket into a world of deep pockets and wealthy mates.

6. ) Take up Golf, Croquet and even Lawn Bowling which qualify as a rich men's sport.

7. ) Go to happy hour at a five-star hotel. ( Yes go go happy hour at a five-star hotel.) Can you believe this ?

8. ) Find a hobby fast ( especially antique cars ) Antique road shows are where aficionados are and they're loaded.

9. ) Get a job where rich men are.

10. ) Sign up for a matchmaking service. Among the options ( The Millionaire's Club ) They even have a web site -------> www.millionairesclub123.com . Can you believe this one even ?

I can't believe that women would write guidebooks like "How To Snare A Millionaire". The more unbelievable is that Forbes would even include an article on the very subject......How To Land A Rich Man. I read this article and I couldn't believe it. Even now I still can't believe the article myself dear world. Can you believe this ? I also read in the article that women have seminars and even give private lessons on how to snag a moneyed man no less. They offer the where-to's and how-to's that can help women unlock the marital bank without doing, well, anything. Dear world I just had to come and share this with you. What do you think of this ? I don't think this article or the women who write such guidebooks are right am I wrong ? When your looking to meet someone it shouldn't be about is he or isn't he a millionaire. For me I would like to meet someone that I like and who likes me in return. I just think when you meet someone your not meeting a wallet your meeting a human being. I don't go looking to meet a bank account I am just looking for someone that I will hit it off with and yes that involves love. Anyway...I just had to share this with you.

So my dear world how was your day ? Its getting pretty cool here in my neck of the woods how is the weather where you are ? For now its pretty late so I will say good-night.

Sleep Well Everyone....Byyyyyye.

My Day.......

Hello Dear World.....

How are you this evening ? Let me start off with how my day started. I leave for work early in the morning since I have to be into work by 7:00 a.m. On the way to work it was pretty cool out. The sky was the color of dark blue ink and dark purple mixed together. The moon was still out too but it wasn't totally white it looked kind of like a dirty milky white as if it had rolled in the dirt for a little while. The moon stood out against the sky though it was a very pretty morning.

Once I got to work and everything my day began. It was about 9:00 when I saw for the first time a guy get arrested at my work. I work in a building and inside is a office called the Magistrate Court Clerk's Office. Anyway......his hand was bandaged up in some kind of wrap of some sort and he sounded rather drunk. While he was talking to a lady that worked at a desk with a glass between both of them a female Deputy came up and asked him if he had any ID. which he told her no. The Deputy also asked if he had any knives or any other kind of weapons on him which he also said no. The Deputy then told him that she had a warrant for his arrest. This was the first time that I had ever seen anyone get arrested while I was on duty. I don't know exactly why he was arrested or what his name was but apparently he was wanted for something. One minute the was talking to a lady working in the office and the next minute he was in handcuffs. These days it seems like all kinds of things happen at my job I can't explain it. It was also a rather busy day for me doing this and doing that.

Anyway......Lately I have been eating some granola bars at work made by a company called the "Caribou Coffee Company". I have to say that the granola bars are pretty good. I found out that they contain ground coffee beans in the bars and you can taste the coffee beans in them. I really like them and they come in all different varieties of flavors. Here is the link to the company if you would like to see it ---------> http://www.cariboucoffee.com/

I can also tell you that the tamales I made recently were pretty good. I had some for dinner last night with some beans. I will definitely make them again but I won't follow the recipe that I went by. The recipe that I went by was just a way for me to learn how to make them.

So dear world how was your day ? How is the weather in your neck of the woods ? What will you be doing tomorrow ? I really hope its a good one. For now its pretty late here in my neck of the woods so I will say good-night.

Sweet Dreams

The Makings Of A Tamale......

Hello Dear World !!!!!!!

How are you this evening ? First things first.......My mom and I started work on a project that I was going to tell you about last night but I decided to tell you this evening. For the last couple of days my mom and I have been talking about making Tamale's. What are tamale's well......Tamale's are a traditional Mexican dish of fried chopped meat and crushed peppers, wrapped in cornmeal dough and cornhusks and steamed. The project or should I say meal began last night when I chopped up an entire chicken that was taken off the bone by my mom. I had to chop up the pieces of chicken until it was cut to fine tiny bits and let me tell you its NOT an easy thing to do. To make a tamale there is quite a lot of work involved. Those who make tamale's for a living have talent because its quite a thing. Here is a site you might want to check out for making tamale's -------> http://www.sonofthesouth.net/tamales/ .

Anyway......early this evening I prepared what's known as Masa dough which eventually turns into a peanut butter like mixture. We also soaked the corn husks until they were soft. Once the corn husks were throughly soaked in warm water we filled the corn husks with the Masa dough and wrapped them. After all of that we put them in a big pot to be steamed which you have to know takes 2 hours. The smell of the tamale's is oooooh wonderful !!!!!! I can't wait to take a bite of the tamale's once their done cooking. To make the Masa dough you might want to know that you will learn that the dough is better mixed by hand which is rather sticky to the hands. Before you put the Masa dough into the corn husks you have to dry the husks which have been sitting in warm water. It takes a while to fill the husks and wrap them and get them into the pot. Its probably not suggested that you make tamale's every day because its a really long process which I have learned. Don't get me wrong it was really fun making the tamale's and it was really fun going out to get the ingredients because I learned a lot along the way about doing something I have never done before. I just can't wait to sit down and take a bite of what I helped to prepare. I can't say that I'm a cook but I can say that I did pretty good for my first time making tamale's. Have you ever eaten a tamale ? And what did you think of it ? I wouldn't mind making them again it was fun but who knows what my next project will be you just never know.

In other news the weather here was really nice throughout most of the day. I did have to go into work today but it is nice to go to work and talk to the people at my work. My job keeps me busy but the people are nice. After I got off of work it did decide to rain but it didn't last long. Once I got home you could tell that it didn't rain over in my neighborhood. Of course I  am happy to report that my favorite medical drama "House" came back on tonight. Check it out here ------> http://www.fox.com/house/ . I love watching House and Bones they are (2) of my favorite shows. Did you have a favorite television show ? All in all it was a pretty wonderful day.

By the way......One of my dear friends who keeps the journal "Coastal Comfort" alerted me to something that I thought I would share with you. The ACLU wants to do away with the Christmas holiday. She said that we should all send the ACLU a Christmas card saying "Merry Christmas!!!" on the card to show that we don't support their movement. If you would like to send the ACLU a Christmas card here is their address:

so dear world how was your day ? Anything new I should know ? I hope that your day tomorrow will be great for you. Of course I will talk to you my dear world tomorrow. I shall return with something new to tell you. Have a good evening my dear friends.....

Take care.

MY DAY.........

Hello Dear World !!!!!!

How are you ? Let me begin by saying "Happy Labor Day". I am not exactly sure what is celebrated on Labor Day but "Happy Labor Day" none the less. The weather today was quite wonderful it was a really nice tropical blue day and yes I'm doing fine.

Earlier today I was reading my oldest niece's Literature book when I came upon a poem that I really liked and I thought I would share with you. The title of the poem is "I Wish I Had Said" written by a writer named Christian O'Connor. Anyway here it is.......

I Wish I Had Said.....

I wish I had said......

Your beauty is like a light,

And I am drawn to it,

Fluttering by its flame.

I wish I had said.....

Your smile melts through

My heart, leaving only

Your warmth. Oh, how

I wish I had said......

Your translucent eyes

Send your soul to my heart,

Forcing it to beat again.

Yes that is what I wish

I had said, but,

With confounded cowardice,

All I said was....

Hello, with a smile,

And I passed you by.

How was my day ? Well for starters let me say that I had a really really amazing day. First my family and I went to a store called Kohl's which is a great place to shop. At Kohl's I purchased a pair of K-Swiss tennis shoes. I always wanted a pair of K-Swiss so I bought a pair that fit me perfectly.

After Kohl's we then went to JoAnn's which is one of my favorite arts & crafts stores. I did quite a bit of shopping there. I started my shopping by purchasing a huge amount of stickers for my oldest niece and my mom since they are in the middle of scrapbooking. The stickers I buy I add to my hand-written journal which I share with all of you here at J-Land. Everything I write in my journal is totally shared with you I just thought you would like to know.

Then after JoAnn's we took a trip to a place called the "World Market" which is a store by the way. Going to the World Market is like visiting different parts of the world like that of India, Spain and Morocco all under one roof. At the World Market along with the other things I bought from the other stores I purchased some Marzipan, some Lindt Truffles and some very rich Ghirardelli Chocolate Squares. As you know I am a huge, huge, huge, huge, huge, huge, huge, huge, huge, huge, huge lover of chocolate. Let me repeat that.......I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE CHOCOLATE.

Yes dear world this was a really amazing day !!!!!!! So how was your day ??? How are things in your neck of the woods ? I hope your day was as nice as mine. If its not obvious already I am

Happy.

For now I will say good-night and I would like to once again wish you all the sweetest of dreams...Take care everyone sleep well.

Yours, M.

My Day And Answering Questions.......

Hello Dear World !!!!!!

How are you this evening ? First things first.....Early this morning my family and I went to church which is known as "St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church" here is a link ------> www.stphilipbenizi.org/ . After church we went to breakfast at a place called Cracker Barrel which serves country type of foods. Here is the site for you to check out -----> www.crackerbarrel.com/ . Let me begin by saying there were quite a few nice looking guys there but I have to say that I didn't approach any of them and start a conversation. I don't know why it is but I find it hard to go up to guys and start a conversation. I did smile at them but none approached me either. We did sit down to eat and let me also tell you that at the Cracker Barrel you will find the best pancakes and bacon that anyone could ever imagine. They also have a store inside where they have a multitude of items from shirts to lamps to old fashioned candy to children's games. We go to the Cracker Barrel from time to time to eat. We enjoyed a really good breakfast there.

After we left Cracker Barrel we went to a mall nearby called "Southlake Mall ".If you want to see it check out this link ----> www.southlakemall.com/ . Inside of the mall they have various stores like Sears, Macy's to a long line of teen stores and much much more. They also have stores inside such as Rich's. Its fun to go there and look around. I didn't see anything I wanted in the mall today but it was nice to go there and look. Window shopping is just as fun as buying things. It was fun to go there and look in the different stores today.

Anyway......I will start answering your questions one at a time. If I forget to answer your question please leave me a little note and I will try to answer all of your questions when I can. I will start with my first questions now:

Morgan of Random Thoughts asks : What made you want to start your journal ? Well Morgan I came upon AOL Journals when I read a wonderful journal written by my now wonderful and dear friend Jeannette ofJeannette's Jottings who happens to be a very interesting lady as well as a tremendous writer. She welcomed me to J-Land with open arms so I thought I would share myself with other wonderful people such as herself.

My other friend who writes the journal oddb0dkins asks: If they wereto make a film of your life, who would you like to play you ? Hmmmm.....I really liked the show "My So-Called Life" which had Claire Danes in the show. She was a really intense and wonderful actress playing a young teen who went through many changes in life in the show so I would say that I would pick Claire Danes to play me.

My other friend Diane asks: Where is your all time favorite campsite and why ? Being that my family and I went to Panama City Beach for several years we fell in love with St. Andrews State Park which is a very amazing campground that has many things for both the young and old to enjoy. Its also a wonderful place to camp. She also asks why have I chosen to stay at home ? Well I have 2 nieces at home that I am helping with which my parents have said helps them a lot being that their mother works nights and I just feel that I have really found that I like spending time with my family and relatives. Diane also asks: Have I ever thought to try Online Dating ? I thought about it but I would really like to think that I will bump into a guy that I like in a store or when I'm out and about doing this or doing that and it will just happen. But I might just give it a try I am just not sure right now.

One of my other very wonderful friends who is named Hadon asks: Where did you get that wonderful personality ? I am not sure really I guess I try and stay myself and I try to keep myself open to learning more and more about myself. Hadon also asks: If they made a movie of your life, what would the title be called ? I really like that question and I think the title would be "Head Over Heels" because I would like my story to be like a lifetime movie about a young woman who falls in love accidentally. I also might want the title to be like "You've Got Mail" since its one of my top favorite movies next to "84 Charing Cross Road" that is.

Last but certainly NOT least asks: Did you like school and what were your best subjects ? I did like certain parts of school and certain parts I didn't. My best subject was English. My worst subjects were definitely Math, History, Biology and Economics I wasn't good in those subjects. Jeannette also asks: What is a memory that really stands out from your childhood ? A memory that really stands out would have to be all the Earthquakes thatI experienced when I was home alone when I used to live in California. She also asks: What is the one thing in your life that makes you the happiest ? I would have to say my family, my relatives and of course all of you here at J-Land who have been so very very kind to me. Thanks to all of you and to John Scalzi who also welcomed me aboard J-Land. You are all appreciated by me.

For now I will try to answer the rest of your questions in my next entry......If I missed you it was not on purpose I will get around to your question. If there is anything your afraid to ask me please feel free to do so. I don't mind answering questions from my dear friends. I hope you have enjoyed getting to know me as I have getting to know you.

I will say good-night for now and I wish you all sweet dreams !!!!!!!!!!

Take care dear world.

ASK ME ANYTHING.......

Hello Dear World !!!!!

How are you ? I am going to do something new this time. Like my dear dear friend Jeannette I am going to allow all of you my dear friends to ask me anything you like. I will answer all of your questions and I will answer them in my entries. You can feel free to ask me anything you would like to know about me including anything personal.

Starting today you may feel free to ask me any question about my life. There is NO limit to the amount of questions you ask me. I hope that you will enjoy this new something I am about to try.

I wanted to share some journals with you. You have to visit.......Pete's Place --------> http://journals.aol.co.uk/pbaldrey/PetesPlace/ . He travels quite a bit. You will enjoy reading about his many many adventures. You also have to stop by the journal titled -------> Heck Of A Guy --------> http://1heckofaguy.com/ . His writing is really interesting. You will certainly learn something when you read his journal. In his journal I came upon another journal titled --------> Writing As Jo(e) ----------> http://writingasjoe.blogspot.com/ . You will certainly find that you will love reading all of the journals.

By the way.....Today I watched one of my other favorite movies "You've Got Mail" with Tom Hanks which is a really good one. I know the movie by heart I have seen it so many times. One of my other favorite movies "Serendipity" came on. John Cusack from the movie "Say Anything" and "Must Love Dogs" is in the movie. I think that every movie should come with John attached to it. I can say that he is a really great actor and he does every film wonderfully.

A read a journal a few minutes ago which I thought I would like to say something to those hard working individuals at Starbucks. To all of you hard working individuals I think you are all talented and yes you deserve the same pay that my job gives me. I frequent Starbucks from time to time and I have NEVER said thanks until now. I think all of you deserve to be appreciated for doing a job I'm sure I never could do. I doubt that I would know where to start when it comes to making a plain coffee let alone a Cappuchino. I would like to say a huge "THANKS" to all of you who work at Starbucks. I think that working there requires talent and hard work and even working with the public requires a special something in a individual who probably never hears this.......THANKS for your hard work and talent. I hope that Starbucks is around for a long, long, long, long, long, long time especially those who work behind the counters......you know who you are. Without all of you Starbucks just wouldn't be Starbucks so thank you. To all of you managers at Starbucks give those hard workers a raise they deserve it.

Until next time I will say.........Ta ta for now

Some News.......

Hello Dear World !!!!!!!

How are you ? I spent most of my day at work of course. I do have some good news for you. Today I am happy to report that Edvard Munch's masterpieces "The Scream" and "Madonna" are safe and sound. They were recovered on Thursday. Two years ago masked gunmen grabbed the national art treasures in front of stunned visitors at an Oslo museum. Many feared the priceless paintings were gone for good but that is not the case. Iver Stensrud, the police inspector who headed the investigation reported that "He saw the paintings and that some of the damage done to the paintings was far from what could have been feared". The Munch Museum was raided on August 22, 2004. Experts from the Munch Museum confirmed that the paintings were the real thing. At a trial this year three men were charged with minor roles in the heist. Norweigan news media reported recently that the convicted mastermind in a bank heist, David Toska, had made a deal for milder terms in a 21-year prison sentence in exchange for the return of the paintings. Police declined comment. "The Scream" and "Madonna" were part of the artist's "Frieze of Life" Series, focusing on sickness, death, anxiety and love. Munch died in 1944 at the age of 80. Stensrud, said authorities believed the paintings had been in Norway the whole time. Stensrud also said no reward was paid.

In other news I would like to share something with you. A guy by the name of Brian Nichols on March 11, 2205 escaped from custody and went on a shooting rampage which left a judge and three others dead. At the time he was being held at the Fulton County Courthouse because he was on trial for rape at the time. He is being charged with the deaths of Judge Rowland Barnes, court reporter Julie Ann Brandau and Sgt. Hoyt Teasley before escaping from the courthouse that Friday morning. He is also being charged with killing U.S. Customs Agent David Wilhelm several hours later. He has pleaded not guilty. Why did I mention this you wonder.........Well recently my work got cameras that will also work with metal detectors at my place of work. It seems like I am paying for his crime more and more and more. Everytime I walk through the metal detector I feel like I am the one being accused of something. I know that the equipment is there for safety reasons but it seems like something that I can't get comfortable with. Brian Nichols shot those people NOT me.

At the moment my brain is pushing the fast forward button fast forward fast forward fast forward fast forward fast forward fast forward. You might be happy to know that one of my other favorite classics "Bridget Jones's Diary" came on television. You might also be happy to know that I am having a relationship actually I am having it with...................4 chocolate chip cookies. Forget you read that. Of course tomorrow begins the weekend and I have no plans and of course not one date to speak of. I am thinking that I might go and drown myself in some chocolate.

By the way.....A friend of mine named David has a journal here at J-Land titled "Sunshine Colorado Notes". His journal is filled with lots of interesting things to see and read. I will be more than happy to share his link with you -------> http://journals.aol.com/dwhee70041/SunshineColoradoNotes/

Good-night !!!!!!!!!!
