Some News....

Hello dear world

How are you today ? I am doing really well. How was my day today ? Let me tell you. It was another day at work for me of course. You might not know this but in another part of Georgia some fires were blazing and the smoke drifted into my neck of the woods. The air today was filled with smoke and it was quite strong. I don't know what will stop these fires but hopefully something can be done.

Anywho.....You might want to know that I won't be able to talk to you over the weekend. Friday evening I will be going with my family to one of my favorite campgrounds called "Indian Springs State Park". We always have fun down there so I am sure this time will be fun as well. As you know I love going camping. We have a pop-up camper that we take with us camping. I will certainly have to pack my suitcase tonight so I can be ready. We will be going after I get off of work tomorrow evening. Of course my nieces are both out of school and so we will have lots of fun.

All in all it was a pretty nice day today. So my dear world how are you doing ? Have you been able to enjoy your week ? I hope that there isn't any smoke in your neck of the woods. We still haven't gotten any rain. The flowers we bought as well as the one I rescued is doing well. The grass on the other hand could use a good week worth of rain. Hopefully we will get some soon. UPDATES

Hello dear world

Here I am again and again. Yes I am happy to report that the computer is up and running thank goodness. I wanted to share a couple of updates of all that I have been up to while the computer was having a nervous breakdown.

On the 26th of May my family and I arranged to have a Barbecue in our backyard. I did invite one of my coworkers. One of my other coworkers had to go out of town so she couldn't come. Anywho...me, my nieces and my mom went to Kroger which is our grocery store in our neck of the woods. We bought a truck load of stuff for the barbecue.

Later that day we then went to Blockbuster where we picked up some movies. My mom rented "The Prestige" with Hugh Jackman, Christian Bale and Michael Caine. I can say that the movie was pretty good. I also bought the movie "Catch And Release" with Jennifer Garner which was pretty funny. I really enjoyed it.

The next day we got everything ready and put downstairs and we ate. The coworker of mine that I invited wasn't able to make it until after the barbecue. She did come with her husband which was nice. Her and her husband stayed for a little while. The visit was a nice one.

You might want to know that at the barbecue we had chips, potato salad, hamburgers, hot dogs and soda's. Having the food cooked out on the grill was quite good. My oldest niece had one of her friends over which was fun for her obviously. I was off of work for the Memorial Day weekend. The barbecue was wonderful I must say.

On the 28th of May I am able to report with lots of excitement that I went to play "B  I  N  G  O" with my mom and my aunt late in the evening. I can tell you that I had fun playing B I N G O. The very best part of the night was winning $17.00 on Game 5 of the entire game. It wasn't much but it was fun winning. I didn't really think I was going to win but I did. I can't wait to go back and play B I N G O again soon. I had NOT played B I N G O in a long time. The night was a BLAST !!!!!!!

Moving on...earlier in the day my folks and I went over to Home Depot. I spent most of the time walking around the Garden Center. While I was there I picked up some different plants that I liked. You will be proud to know that I rescued a little plant that was left abandoned in the parking lot at the store. You can say that I have officially become Angelina Jolie because instead of adopting children I am adopting plants.

Today....I went back to work after being off for the Memorial Day weekend. I am sad to report that here in my neck of the woods we have yet to get any rain. Its been quite dry here and our grass is beginning to look like a dried brown thing that once had resembled grass. Have you gotten any rain where you are my dear world ?????? If you have feel free to send some over to me in the mail. I won't mind an ocean of it if you have it.

Yadda,yadda,yadda, blah,blah,blah for dinner my family and I ate dinner outside in a covered patio tent. We had ribs, my mom and I had some steaks I bought since I happen to love steaks. My nieces had hamburgers which they liked. After dinner I played a couple of rounds of Badminton with my nieces which they enjoyed. My nieces did good at Badminton. As for me well I couldn't hit all that well but we had fun.

Later in the evening I watched one of my most favorite of movies "Amelie" which I have to say is a classic. So my dear world how are things with you ? I hope that all is well with you and for the rest of your week. I want to thank you all for telling me that you missed me. I missed you all more than you know. I am glad to be talking to all of you once again. Hopefully my computer decides to be good for a while at least. Of course tomorrow is a another day at the workhouse for me.

Hello dear world

How the heck are you ?? No my dear world I haven't left you. I missed missed missed you all my dear friends. The reason I wasn't around lately is because my computer was on the fritz and I wasn't able to report it to you. But there is good news dear world. I am back to all of you and I shall report all of my news later this evening. I can't begin to tell you how much I missed you guys. I don't know if you noticed my absence but here I am !!!!!!!

I have so much to tell you that its insane. I have kept a written record of my day to day life so I shall come and tell you later this evening. I will have to catch up to your journals and I will be commenting soon.

Rosie has left the building but NOT I . I am still here.

Quite A Day

Hello dear world

Good evening how are you ? I hope you are all doing well. Today was another day at work for me as usual.You might want to know that it was 84 degrees in Georgia and it really feels like Summer. The smoke from the fires is now gone so I am guessing that the fires were put out or put under control. Hopefully the fires were put out once and for all.

 I do have some news for you. An older gentleman that me and my coworkers talk to a lot at work had chest pains this morning at work. The ambulance came to the building where I work. Apparently he was taken to the hospital. One of the other guys that we talked to said that he was doing alright but that they were keeping him overnight for further observation. I hope he's doing alright he is a really nice guy and we like him a lot. He has always been a pretty nice guy to be around. He always jokes around with me and my coworkers.

Later in the afternoon something weird happened in the parking lot at my work. It was reported that a Jeep Cherokee without a driver at the wheel had hit a Van which was parked in the same area as the Jeep Cherokee. I don't know how a Jeep can hit another car when there is no one at the wheel. There must have a ghost at the wheel or the car mysteriously drove itself. Later on it was reported that the owner of the Jeep was in the building the entire time so the Jeep must have gone into some sort of maximum overdrive. Security was still trying to find the owner of the van. My dear world there's never a dull moment at my work....never a dull moment.

On a more different note that guy that I told you about...the one I have a crush on....well he and I talked today and it was a full blown conversation. The conversation wasn't just hello and how are you. We talked way over a minute and my dear world let me tell you it is so very nice talking to him. I always look for him to have a conversation with. The thing is my dear world he doesn't know that I have a crush on him. I have liked him from the moment I met him. I just thought I would share that with you. I know that I am a silly person so forgive me for sharing this little bit of silliness with you.

Apart from me and my silliness dear world how are you doing ? How are things in your neck of the woods ? Are you working tomorrow like I am ? I will be off on the weekend. Well my dear world I have probably kept you from dinner or something so I will let you go. I will be back to talk to you again later.

Fire In The Sky

Hello dear world

How are you ??? Here I am again. Good evening to you all. What happened in my neck of the woods you might be wondering ? Well there was some wildfires blazing in South Georgia today and the smoke drifted into my neck of the woods. The air outside was smothered with smoke. The smell burned my nose and my throat. Today was NOT a good day to go out. I am thinking that I might just buy me a really huge oxygen tank to carry around with me. I don't mean to complain not at all but I hate the smell of smoke.

Anywho...it was another day at work for me and it was a busy,busy,busy day. However later in the afternoon the smoke did pass through slowly but surely. You know my dear world it must have been dreadful for the people living in South Georgia to breathe as well. It was quite hard to breathe earlier today and for the people in South Georgia it must have been a choked up day. I do hope that everyone made it through the day alright. I am hoping that the fires were put out safely and that the air will be clear to breathe in tomorrow but you never know.

My dear world we need a good long rain to clear the air don't you think ??? I wonder if we'll be getting any rain anytime soon. Before I go I have a little note to share with you. Tonight there's a movie coming on television in my neck of the woods and my favorite favorite favorite actor Tom Selleck is going to be in it. The movie is going to be a crime drama which Tom Selleck stars as a guy named Jesse Stone. I have to say that I think that he is a very nice looking guy. I have always liked watching Tom Selleck in movies. I can't wait to see him in the movie tonight I'm sure it will be good. Hello hello dear world

How are you ??? How are you ??? I am doing quite well. I have some wonderful news to share. You will be happy to know that Katie will be staying YEAH !!!!!! I get a chance to know her. I was hoping she would change her mind and stay and she is. I am so glad that I found her journal from Guido. Its always nice to meet someone new at J-Land and to know that I almost didn't get a chance to get to know her was sad. Quite a few people have come and gone and I was sad to think she might have been one of them. I have to say that I enjoy her being at J-Land. So many of you have been so very very kind to me which has meant quite a lot to me. I have come to treasure you all here at J-Land. I have to say a huge "THANK YOU" to all of you.

On a different note today was another day at work for me. It was an uneventful day but the weather was warm and Summery and I loved it. I think Summer has arrived early and I hope it stays for quite a while. I love this weather. Did I tell you that my family's backyard has turned into a zoo practically. We have squirrels, birds, chipmunks, butterflies and a Cottontail Rabbit. There is a zoo in our backyard and its amazing. I have seen birds that I have never seen before and the chipmunks are quite cute. My dad also purchased a bird bath recently and its something to see. I just had to share that with you.

Did Some Thinking....

Hello dear world

Good evening. Well here I am....again. Yes I was doing some thinking my dear world. I was doing some thinking. I am sad to hear that one of our fellow Journallers (Katie) will be leaving J-Land. I didn't really get a chance to get to know her because I didn't know about her journal until I visited one of my friends at J-land. Its sad to think that quite a few people have already left J-land and haven't returned. I wish she would reconsider staying a while longer but she has probably made up her mind and feels that she has made her decision. I wish her the best and hope that she will return again some day you just never know.

Anywho...I was reading my friend Carly's blog "Suddenly Carly" and she got me to thinking as well with one of her entries titled "Restlessness". She wrote a few things which really started me to thinking about my journal as well.

Carly wrote "I realize there isn't one reason in the world why you should care about the things I care about". She also wrote "What holds your interest when you read a blog ? is it the positive or the negative ? Carly also wrote "My blog is meant as a place to share ideas, and creativity". "Sometimes my view gets a little dark, but most of the time it is about life". "My life".

Carly also wrote in her entry "I guess I am wondering if maybe I might consider retiring as a blogger". She also writes "Am I wasting time here ? "Am I just filling empty time here ?". I was really touched by her words. I also read in her entry that "we all own our problems, large or small". She also wrote "My life is just that, my life". She questioned "Would you rather read about the positives in a person's life or would you rather read about the same patterns of grief and displacement ? ".

I feel that I have come to share many things here in my diary/journal here at J-land and I have come to know many people through theirs as well. I feel that we all share different things and its a shame that others have to bully those who are trying to share their lives, their problems, their happiness and their thoughts from day to day. I don't know why some have to try and upset others here at J-land but I do hope that those who do will leave people like Katie and I and you my dear world alone. We all have bad days sometimes and sometimes there are things in our lives that we sometimes need to talk to someone and sometimes that someone is a friend at J-land. I have enjoyed my time here and I continue to be touched by those who have left me such encouraging words and have opened their arms to me with friendship. I don't really know if I have changed any here at J-land. I don't even know if I made any sense here but hopefully I have opened my arms to someone else as others have done for me.

My dear world I wish all the best for Katie and for those who have already gone from J-land. I hope that things turn around for Katie. The thing is my dear world....I hope.

I just wanted to share some thoughts with you. If your reading this Katie where ever you are....perhaps you will return again someday and know that you will always have friends here and that you will always be welcomed here.

Last but not least my dear world....I'm still here and I'm going to keep writing and I'm going to keep talking. Good-bye for now dear world. I will talk to you again another day.

In Need Of A Favor

News For Today

Hello dear world

Good evening how are you ? Well I am happy to report that the weather was quite nice for our church picnic. Earlier today my family and I drove to our church which is St. Philip Benizi where our picnic was held. The picnic is a tradition at our church. Anywho....earlier today I did a cake walk which is similar to musical chairs. I also got on a ride with my oldest niece Jeanette which was a ride that tosses you around and around in a circle.

At the picnic they had a face painting booth, a sno cone booth, a cotton candy booth and a rock climbing wall. No, my dear world I didn't climb the wall I am NOT much of a climber when it comes to climbing a rock wall. While we were at the picnic they had a raffle going on which was a raffle for some baskets which we didn't win any.

For lunch at the picnic they had chips, hot dogs and bar-b-que sandwiches. I had a hot dog for lunch and my parents had the sandwich as well as a hot dog. For a snack I had some cotton candy and a sno cone which was quite good and sweet.

There were quite a few people at the picnic. There weren't any single guys there. All of the guys there had wives and children so I pretty much stayed with my family which was nice. While we were sitting at the picnic there was a guy there singing with a band and let me tell you that he did a terrible job of singing. I also watched some young kids playing a game of volleyball.

About 4:30 p.m. we started putting up the chairs which my dad and I took to the car. After the picnic we went to mass inside of the church. During the mass some parents had their young babies baptized for the very first time. It was a nice ceremony but the babies did cry while they were being baptized.

After mass had ended my family and I drove to Atlanta near Turner Field to a restaurant. The restaurant was named "Just Loaf'n". The place is a New Orleans style restaurant. My family and I had Shrimp Po'Boys. We also had a drink called a Sno Ball. I had a cotton candy flavored Sno Ball. At the restaurant they have different flavored sno ball's. They have a Praline Sno Ball and a Bubble Gum Sno Ball as well as a Margerita Sno Ball. The Po Boy's were quite good as well as the Sno Ball's. Tonight was my first time ever going to "Just Loaf'n". Inside of the restaurant they had traditional Mardi Gras masks displayed. They also had some music from New Orleans playing while we ate. I enjoyed our dinner and the restaurant. Hello dear world

Yes it's Friday !!!!!!!!! How are you ?? I hope you enjoyed your last day of the week. Today it was a rather uneventful day at work for me so there's nothing to report there.

On a different note I just finished watching "The Wedding Date" which I bought at Blockbuster -----> http://www.theweddingdate.net/ . I totally enjoyed the movie. Its funny and I have to say that I am a huge fan of Debra Messing. Dermot I have to say was my favorite because he's not only a talented actor but he is a nice looking guy as well. I have to say that I wouldn't mind going to a wedding with him. My dear world you have to see this movie. I totally recommend "The Wedding Date".

Of course tomorrow I am going to a picnic at my church which will be nice I'm sure. Hopefully the weather holds up for us. I will be wearing a purple outfit tomorrow with a purple bracelet and a purple hair band in my hair so I will certainly be matching. I will let you know how it goes.

A Better Day

Hello dear world

First things first...I am happy to report that I am feeling better. The smoke has cleared and the weather today was wonderful. I guess you could say that I am on my way to a speedy recovery. Of course it was another day at work for me today.

On a different note...what do you think of the price of gas these days ??? Everybody at my work has been talking about the rising price of gas. I think its terrible that the oil companies seem to be getting rich from us hard working people from these rising prices. I don't know what it will take to lower the price of gas. I Have News !!!!!!! Don't Be Alarmed

Hello dear world

How the heck are all of you my dear friends ?? At the moment I have to report that I might have smoke inhalation...don't be alarmed. Here's the whole story behind why I might have smoke inhalation. Early this morning I walked out the door at the house on my way to work when I walked out to the air which was engulfed in the smell of smoke and here's why : Recently there's been some fires in South Georgia and a tire factory was on fire in a place called Butts County. Apparently the smoke has been drifting into our neck of the woods causing the air to be filled with the smell of smoke. There have also been some fires in Florida. Due to the smoke early this morning my throat is hurting and my nose still burns from the smoke I might have inhaled this morning. I have to say that everybody reported the same thing when I got to work. I didn't know where the fires were located until I got to work. I just hope that the fire department where the fires were, were able to get them put out. I also hope that there won't be anymore news of fires tomorrow. I don't want to walk outdoors having to smell smoke as I did this morning. I have been drinking water and I am trying to get the smoke out of my system. I am sure that I don't need medical attention I'm sure I will be fine. We did get a hint of rain which lasted about a second but nothing much to wet the ground or anything.

Anywho....how was your day dear world ?? Are there any fires in your neck of the woods ? I just hope that all of you are doing well and chugging along. How are things where you are ???

Notes For Monday

Hello dear world

How are you today ??? I hope you are doing well. How am I ? I am doing wonderfully. Today I went to work today which was an all 8 hour shift.

Anywho...it was another day of beautiful weather in my neck of the woods. I am enjoying this nice Summer weather. You will be happy to know that I have plans this Saturday. My church is having a picnic this Saturday with kiddie rides, food, music and much much more. I already have my outfit picked out. Hopefully the weather will be as nice as it was today.

A Trip To Walmart

Hello dear world

Let me begin by saying good evening. How are all of you ? I have to tell you that I am doing well.

You might want to know that earlier this evening me, my mom and my nieces took a little ride to Walmart and we bought a few items. Let me tell you that inside of Walmart there were wall to wall people filling up carts with tons of stuff. We picked up a few items as well. I have to warn that you should NEVER go to a store that sells food on a empty stomach. Anywho....while I was there I picked up an item from Stouffers. The item was a delicious meal called a Shrimp and Roasted Garlic Flatbread. I can honestly tell you that it was delicious. The shrimp with the roasted garlic was amazing. The flatbread was something you would see Ina Garten also known as "The Barefoot Contessa" would make on her cooking show. My mom and my nieces all enjoyed it. Hello dear world

Top of the afternoon to you. How are you ? Well I am doing really well. Its another lovely warm day in my neck of the woods. You might want to know that late last night the sky opened up and an ocean of rain came. I had almost forgot what rain looked like so it was nice to get a little reminder. We got some thunder, the lights went off and on and then.....the flood. You will be happy to know that I survived the flood so there's no need to call out the National Guard to come look for me.

Anywho....earlier today I watched a very funny movie called "About A Boy" with Hugh Grant. I really enjoyed the movie and I thought that Hugh Grant made it a really wonderful movie. Here is the link -------> http://www.about-a-boy.com/ .

Question dear world : If Hugh Grant can't be British Prime Minister why can't he run for President. I would like to nominate Hugh Grant for President of the United States. I think that would be something to see. We need a nice looking British President don't you think ???? Of course I would also like to nominate Sean Connery for Vice-President.

Dippin' Dots And Some Cheese Filling Information

Hello dear world

First things first how are you ? I hope you are doing quite well. I am happy to report with tons of enthusiasm that it was a wonderful 84 degrees in my neck of the woods and it was a beautiful beautiful day. It was hard being indoors at work but me and two of my coworkers went out for a bit to the store so we got to soak up a little bit of sunshine.

Anywho my dear world.....I have a question for you ? Have you ever tried Dippin' Dots ? Well I have. Today at the store I bought some Cookies 'n'Cream Dippin Dots. If you ever see them at your grocery store you should pick up a box. I higly recommend them.

On a different note I found out that there is a place where you see tons of Cheese online. There is a site called the "West Country Farmhouse Cheesemakers". I have to say that there have been so many kind people who have come to visit my journal and I haven't given any mention of them as of late and you know who you are. So many of you have come by and been so very kind to me and shared your lives with me. I can't thank these people enough for their kindness and friendship so I would like to say thank you to all of them at this time so that they will know how very appreciated they are.

Notes For Monday

Hello dear world

How are you ? First let me say that I am happy to report that the weather was nice today it behaved really well today. It was a wonderful 73 degrees in my neck of the woods.

You might also want to know that today was the beginning to a whole new week for me at work which was nice. One of my coworkers brought in some bread she had made at home to work which I have to say was rather good. The bread had a very sweet taste to it and the crust on the bread was coated with a Cinnamon sugar to give it a little crunch to it. I really liked the bread she made. The only part that I didn't like was that it had raisins in it but all in all it was quite a tasty snack. You might also want to know that I did eat a few slices of it including one slice with a cup of chocolate ice cream that I bought at the store. Yes my dear world the bread with the ice cream was perfect.

On a more sad note I have rather upsetting news to report. I read in the newspaper today that Palestinian militants opened fire near a children's festival at a U.N. operated elementary school in the Southern Gaza Strip on Sunday, killing a bodyguard of a local Fatah Party Leader and wounded 7 other people which was reported by medical officials. There was no immediate claim of responsibility but Muslim extremists earlier had visited the school and warned authorities not to hold the festival which was also reported by U.N. and Security Officials.

On another sad note I also read that recently a roadside explosion outside the Iraqi capital on Sunday killed six American soldiers and a European civilian journalist which was reported by the military. I also read that in Samarra , in the Sunni heartland 60 miles north of Baghdad, a car bomb and shooting attack killed 12 police including the police chief and which also wounded two American soldiers racing to the headquarters to help.

The American deaths I read included eight soldiers killed Sunday in separate attacks in Diyala province and Baghadad and two marines killed Saturday in a blast in Anbar province. Also, a soldier died Sunday in a noncombat incident in northern Iraq. Their deaths raised to at least 3,373 the number of U.S. military members who have died since the U.S. invasion in March 2003 according to an Associated Press. The Baghadad market blast erupted about noon in the mixed Sunni-Shiite Baiyaa neighborhood and devastated the area, reducing cars and trucks to skeletons. In addition to the dead, dozens of other people were injured. I read in the newspaper that no one claimed responsibility for the attacks.

My dear world I don't really know what will change in Iraq or if the President is watching the news lately. Everytime I turn on the news all I hear about is that more violence has erupted in Iraq or another soldier has been killed over there. I was sad when I heard the news and when I read about everything in the newspaper. I just think that something has to change over there or if things will get worse I don't see how they could. I have to say my dear world that I think that the U.S. troops need to come home and out of harm's way. Am I wrong for feeling this way my dear world ???

On a different note....for those of you like me who are afraid of spiders I have a little nightmarish tale to share with you from the news. Recently what began as a faint popping in a 9-year-old Albany Ore, boy's ear like "Rice Krispies" ended up as an earache, and the doctor's diagnosis was that a pair of spiders each the size of a pencil eraser made a home in his ear. " They were walking around in his eardrums, " Jesse Courtney said, One of the spiders was dead, but the other was still alive after the doctor flushed the fourth-grader's left ear canal. It took a second dousing before it emerged. I read that Jesse took the two dead Spiders to school. " It was real interesting...what next ?" he said.

Some News

Hello dear world

How are you ? I wanted to come by and catch you up to date on my weekend. Here it goes.....yesterday me and my family went down to the mall otherwise known as Southlake Mall. At Southlake we went to Sears where I didn't realize at first but I saw two really dressy shirts I liked and yes I purchased them. One of the shirts is pink with a gold glittery thin stripe on it. My dear world I don't usually go for the color pink but I thought it was nice so I purchased it. I also found a nice dressy black sweater with a white dress shirt with black stripes on it to go underneath my sweater. You can see the white shirt underneath it and let me tell you its cute. I also purchased a nice dress shirt for my older sister.

Later on we went to a video store called Hollywood Video. There really isn't any videos there that I like except a few. I did rent one called Motives which was pretty good. I also bought a movie called Journey To The Edge Of Night With Brendan Fraser and Mos Def which was a pretty good movie. My nieces also got some movies they liked so it was nice to be out at the video store.

All in all my Saturday was nice and it was nice to be out enjoying the weather. Today early this morning my family and I went to our Church which is St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church. I wore my pink shirt I bought and I had on some nice brown dress pants. I have to tell you that on May 19th my church will be having a Parish Picnic from 12noon to 5 pm. The tickets are $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children. If you are in the area you might want to come. There will be a turbo swing, a moonwalk, music, food, arts and crafts and much much more. By the way one of my coworkers dropped by to bring back our office key because she had left her keys in the office so she had to borrow my key to get into the office. My coworker is a really nice person. We hang out together on our lunch break and while we are on break at work. I invited her to come over for Memorial Day which she said yes to my invitation. My family and I will be having a little bar-b-que at the house so I'm sure she will enjoy it. I will ask one of my other coworkers that I hangout with as well and hopefully she will say yes.

Your Favorites Of Summer

Hello dear world

I'm back !!!!!!! So how have you been ? I have been working but I am doing well. Being that the weather has been rather warm I have been thinking about how much I am longing for Summer which got me to thinking.

Its about that time my dear world for flip-flops, sunglasses, cold bottled water, wearing t-shirts and shorts and most of all......Summertime.

So my dear world what are your plans for the Summertime ? Will you be doing any reading over the Summer ? I'm asking you this because I was wondering what kind of books do you like to read during the Summer ?

I was also thinking that I would jump start you into thinking about your favorite books that you might take to the beach and why....So get prepared to get out your favorite books, some sheets of paper and start thinking about what books you might suggest others to read during the Summer.

You might even give me a few hints about the books I should read. You might also want to leave me the links to your journal in which you share your thoughts on this subject.
