Forgive Me Dear World

Hello dear world

How are you ? I am about to say a few things that some people might disagree with so let me start by saying I'm sorry but I need to have a Dennis Miller moment so please bear with me.

First of all I hate to say this but there are two people in this world that I dislike : Sean Hannity and Oprah Winfrey.

From listening to the radio today I heard Sean Hannity talking on this talk radio show which I have to say should be taken off the air as soon as possible. He talked about our children when it comes to education as being stupid. He made it seem like like our children in school's today have learned absolutely nothing. I have to say that I don't think that he really likes anyone or anything except the President. I really feel that some of the things he says is quite offensive and rude. He also talked with rudeness about the Oscars. He made it seem like everyone drives around in Limousines without a care for anyone or anything. If he doesn't like celebrities or people who may be famous for being in the entertainment industry then he should do without totally being rude or conceited about it.

I have to say that I dislike Oprah Winfrey and I am sorry to have to say this but I do. It seems to me like she has totally gone into being a Presidential Candidate. It also seems to me that she is taking it into her hands to tell people what they should be eating, wearing, thinking, reading and how they should be living their lives. It was also reported recently in the news that she built a school in Africa which is fine but the thing is couldn't she build a school here in the States for our girls just as well ? It was like she felt that our girls here in United States were not worthy of having a school built for them. She seems to think that the girls here in the States are not smart enough academically to be given such a gift as a school like the one she had built in Africa. There is also news that she has a Primetime Special as well which has practically turned her into some sort of Queen for what's she done for the girls in Africa. I think that yes the girls in Africa deserve a school but how about looking into a school for the young women here in the United States ? I think that it would be nice if a school had been built in the United States just as there was in Africa. I think that young ladies such as my nieces deserved a school as well as the young ladies in Africa.

I may be wrong dear world but I had to share my thoughts on this and express my thoughts on these two individuals. I am sorry if I offended anyone with my opinions. Please forgive me dear world.

Thank You.

Letters

Hello dear world,            25th January 2007

Let me begin by saying good evening. I hope this finds you all and finds you well. I would like to share a little something intimate with you. I have been getting some letters from some of my dear friends named Diane and Rebecca Anne which I have to say I love.

I think dear world that there is something wonderful about getting a letter whether in the mailbox or in a e-mail. In a letter to a friend, Dr. Samuel Johnson wrote that "I look forward every day to the arrival of the post because who knows that it might bear a letter from an old friend; a brief note from someone I love; a letter from a foreign land; a letter from a stranger congratulating me upon my wisdom; and a good book that has long been awaited". I think that Dr. Samuel Johnson was right.

There is something so great about finding an envelope with your name on it from a friend or a relative and you know its a letter. A friend sending you news about themselves and their family and catching you up to date on their lives. Or perhaps a relative sending you news about seeing you not so long ago and after having talked to you on the phone a few weeks back. I have received those kinds of letters and I treasure them as I would a gift on my birthday.

Writers such as Jane Austen, Lewis Carroll, Mark Twain and Dylan Thomas never dispatched even the smallest bit of their letters until they had brought them to the point of polish that they felt made them as perfect as their novels or poems. I may not be as great a writer but I think that a friend appreciates when you take the time to sit down and write them a letter letting them know who very appreciated they are.

I think that its not just the letter itself but its choosing the right pen with the right color ink. Its also choosing the right kind of card or stationery to say that you thought about that person that much more. I like to choose a particular kind of card or a particular kind of paper to use in which to write a letter to someone just because for no reason except that I am thinking of them.

As someone wise once wrote "Hope lives eternal that we will receive letters so dear that we will carry them in our wallets or our purses and that on quiet mornings wemay take them out, read them yet another time and reflect not only on the words but on the good person who took time to write them".

My dear world I just had to come and take the time to write you a letter as well. So my dear world I have a question for you : Have you ever received a letter you have never forgotten ?

That's all for now. I will talk to you again soon.

Sincerly Yours,

Monae

Saturday Times News

Hello dear world

How are you today ? I am a little bit with a cold but I caught it early. I am taking Robitussin and Nyquil and some nighttime TheraFlu liquid formula so I am working on getting better. Either than having a cold I am fine.

In other news I did go out with my folks and my youngest niece Megan earlier today. We went to Wally World...otherwise known as Walmart. What I'm about to tell you might not interest any guys who might read this but hopefully they might just laugh a little at my entry hopefully. Anywho....once my folks and my niece arrived at Wally World I went over to the purses and I am happy to report that I found one that I liked. I would have to say that a lot goes into looking and finding a purse. First a woman has to know if she wants a purse with a strap or without. Then a woman has to know if she wants a purse with a ton of zippers or with a few zippers as possible. The next thing a woman has to know if all of her items will be able to fit inside of the purse or if the purse will be too small for her items. Then when a woman sees one she likes she has to know if she wants pockets on the outside of the purse or just on the inside. The one I saw dear world is from the Faded Glory company -----> http://www.fadedglory.com/ . Its called a ABICA HOBO handbag. Its a sandy brown color something like the color of wet sand at the beach. It has ( 2 ) pockets on the outside with a strap and its big enough for me. I liked it when I saw it. I really was happy to see a handbag I liked at Wally World. I just had to share that with you dear world.

In other news my auntie Marie and my uncle Tony came over before we went to Wally World. Its always nice to see them they live in a Cul-de-sac nearby which is always nice. I do have to report that my uncle Tony isn't in the hospital but he recently found out that his kidneys aren't functioning like they should be. They said if he has one of his kidneys removed the other one would work a little bit better. I told my uncle that I would be more than happy to give him one of mine if he needs it. Hopefully I would be a match for him. I think that I could live with just one kidney. I love him so I would be more than happy to do it for him. The only thing in my kidneys is more than likely a lot of chocolate so I'm sure I could pass one of them along to him.

Enough of my news dear world how was your Saturday ? How is the weather in your neck of the woods ? Speaking of the weather it was a b-e-a-utiful day in mine and I'm love love love love love loving it. Yup that's about it for me until later. I'll talk to you all next time.

Take care everyone !!!!!!!!!

Notes For Friday

Hello dear world

How are you today ? First things first I am happy to report that the weather here in my neck of the woods was simply wonderful and I am hoping that it continues.

Anywho....during lunch time I went down to a Goodwill store with two of my female co-workers. While I was there I picked up a couple of books which I will tell you about later in my entry.

In other news....earlier this afternoon outside the employee entrance at my work there were quite a few news vans perched outside the building like Hawks eyeing their prey. The Channel 46 News vans were there, the Channel 2 News vans were there, the Channel 5 Action News vans were there as well. They were all there because of a huge drug bust which recently happened in my neck of the woods by the Riverdale police department. They had all of their cameras set out awaiting some interviews I suppose but it looked like something major was going to erupt at any second but we didn't stick around we left to go shopping. I just thought you might want to know that.

On to what I was telling you in the beginning...at the Goodwill store I picked up some books including the book Possession which was also a movie starrring Gwyneth Paltrow, Aaron Eckhart and Jennifer Ehle. Here is a link for you ---- http://www.possession-movie.com/ . I must tell you that "Possession" is one of my favorite movies.

I also purchased some Harlequin romance novels which is centered around NASCAR. By the way did you know that NASCAR has entered into a licensing agreement with Harlequin Enterprises Limited, the world's leading publisher of women's fiction and series romance ? I have enjoyed reading them because I am a fan of NASCAR including the race car driver Jeff Gordon.

Enough about me and my day. How are things in your neck of the woods ? How has the weather been in your part of the world ? I hope you are all well. That's about it for me. I will most certainly talk to you again later.

Do take care my dear friends. Byyye !!!!!!

Some Things You Might Want To Know

Hello dear world

How are you ? Let me catch you up to date my dear world. As some of you might not know today I took the day off from work because I had a doctor's appointment which I went to. The doctor I saw was named Afrin Rahman at Kaiser. I have a question for you dear world : Why is it that we can put people on the moon but we can't seem to have doctors consider something better than a wafer-thin paper towel for people to use when seeing the doctor ? You get into the room and you are instructed to take everything off only to slip into a wafer-thin like paper towel top and a paper towel to wrap around the legs ??? Why is that ???? I think that if we come so far with out technological advances in science and space that we could come out with a night gown for people to wear when seeing their doctor.....don't you think so dear world ? I would seriously like to write to the AMA or otherwise known as the American Medical Association and give them a piece of my mind about this.

You might also want to know that I was told that I would have to make another appointment with the doctor and get a Urinalysis, a Lipid Panel whatever that is as well as an Electrolyes Serum. The doctor also informed me that I would have to get some Iron tablets. But as I expected the doctor also told me that I would have to lose weight why couldn't the doctor tell me that I was perfectly fine. I am in no way ready for taking up the task of eating Broccoli, spinach, carrots, corn, peas or brussel sprouts. I am certainly not up to the task of eating things that are fat free, or which contain low fat or reduced fat. I am more of a fan of hamburgers, french fries, pizza, taco's, ice-cream, burrito's, doughnuts, potato chips, sausages, spaghetti, shrimp fried rice, soft shell crabs, soda and of course chocolate. If I have to give up chocolate well I don't think I can do that in any way, shape or form. Okay, okay, okay enough with my ranting and raving I just had to share that with you.

So how was your day dear world ? How are things with you ? Did you have a day like mine ?? That's about it for me. I'll let you get back to what you were doing. Take care dear world. I shall return tomorrow with our regularly scheduled programming.

Good-night !!!!!!!!

Some News and A Holiday

Hello dear world

How are you ? You might want to know that today is officially "National Pancake Day" here is a link to see some news about it -----> http://www.ihop.com/tellafriend.php . Let me say "Happy National Pancake Day" !!!!!!!

Anywho....today was another day at work for me. Tomorrow I will be going to the doctor for a check up which is all very very not exciting. I am doing fine though. I am happy to report that the weather will be warming up soon in my neck of the woods which makes me quite happy.

In other news last night I watched a show called "Wildfire" which I have to say was wonderful. I am going to watch it again next week. Wildfire is a television series so there's a new episode every Monday night. Here is a link for you to see ----> http://abcfamily.go.com/wildfire/ .

Earlier this evening I did attend a banquet at my niece Jeanette's school - Our Lady of Mercy which was nice. Her and her fellow Step Team members were given awards for their hard work. The Wrestling Team and the Swim Team were also given awards tonight for their hard work. Let me tell you my niece Jeanette is becoming one talented young woman and I am proud of her. I'm sure my other niece Megan will be talented just like her sister.

Last but not least a few minutes ago before I came to talk to you I was watching the show "Gilmore Girls" which I really gotten to be a fan of just like my other show "Bones". You might be surprised to know that I haven't been watching American Idol I'm just not into it this season.

Enough about me how was your day ? How are things in your neck of the woods these days ? I hope you are all doing well. I know that a few of my friends like Bill, Jeannette and a couple of other dear friends are under the weather and I am hoping that they all get well soon. I hope the rest of you my dear friends are doing well.

I guess that's about it for now. Do take care my dear world. Have a glorious Wednesday.

A Note

Hello dear world

Good evening. How are you ? I would like to share something with you if I may. There is a television program here in my neck of the woods called "Book TV" here is the link --- http://www.booktv.org/ . On the program tonight Robert Pinsky who is the former U.S. Poet Laureate shared the poems of 20th century poets Robert Frost and William Carlos Williams at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center in New York City. You might want to take a look at this link in which you can hear Robert Frost's voice ---- http://robertfrostoutloud.com/ . I have to say my dear world it would have been nice if Robert Pinsky would have recited some of R.Brimm's poetry. R. Brimm has a journal filled with wonderful writing and poems ---- http://journals.aol.com/rbrimm/ChosenWords/ . Robert Pinsky should have had some of R.Brimm's poems such as the ones from his journal now that would have been something.

So my dear world how was your day ? How are things in your neck of the woods ? I just wanted to share the notes above with you. That's all for now. Good-night dear world.

Some News

Hello dear world

How are you today ? How was your weekend ? I would like to share a few thoughts with you today. Recently the singer Britney Spears went to a barber shop and shaved off all of her hair. It was also reported that she checked into a rehab facility and then turned around and left the facility. I have to say that from seeing her on the news it looks like she might be suffering from some problems at the moment. You might want to check out this link -----> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmjvSM3x86o . I really think that it would do her good if she sought some psychiatric help. A while back I sought the help of a doctor for depression. I haven't been to the doctor in quite a while but I still have ups and downs occasionally. I think that a doctor would be able to help Britney deal with what she's feeling. I think that it would help her feel better going and talking to someone. She's a very talented young woman so hopefully someone will help her get through the problems she's having.

In other news I did end up having plans today. Here is what I did: I took a ride today with my family to Villa Rica, Georgia to visit a cousin I have named Aaron, his wife Kim, my aunt Antoinette and their kids who are named Matthew, Erica, Jacob and Ryan. For dinner we had some really great Shrimp Primavera with some white Alfredo sauce on top with some Broccoli. My aunt which we call "Tee" made a pink cake with white icing and Aaron's wife Kim made some delicious chocolate chip cookies with some Valentine heart candies on top. You might also want to know that my cousin and his family have (2) pets: a huge turtle and a lizard I just thought you might want to know that. I have to say that his kids got bigger since the last time we saw them.

Anywho.......How was your weekend ? How is the weather in your neck of the woods ? It was still pretty cold here and hopefully soon it will start warming up but who knows. That's about it for me. Have a great week everyone. Do take care.

Friday Notes

Hello dear world

How are you ? I am doing rather well. I do hope all of you had a great Valentines Day. Anywho...here is what I did yesterday -------->

Yesterday three of my coworkers and I went to a great restaurant called Longhorn Steakhouse. I usually go there with my family to eat so it was nice going there with my coworkers as well. To make a long story short we all had the Ribeye but I had mine with mashed potatoes. The ribeye let me tell you was delicious as well as tender. I ordered mine medium well which was cooked to my liking. In the process of eating the ribeye the mashed potatoes got soaked in the juice from the ribeye which made them that much more amazing. I have to say that I love love love love love love love going to Longhorn Steakhouse they just have the best food there. I also ordered a dessert called "Chocolate Stampede" to go for my nieces. They always enjoy eating it every time we go to eat there so I ordered it for them. I can tell you that my coworkers and I enjoyed our meal and I can't wait to go back to eat there again. Here is the location : 7882 Tara Boulevard Jonesboro, Ga. 30236 Phone number 770-477-5365. Here is the link --- http://www.longhornsteakhouse.com/

Here is my news for today --------> It was another day at work for me but it wasn't a busy day there wasn't that many people there so my coworkers and I did a little bit of everything. You might also want to know that yes its still pretty cold here in Georgia and I am longing more and more for Summer.

Here is something else for you to know I am quite happy to report that my friend Diane a.k.a loststream sent me a letter as well as my other dear friend Jeannette. They let me know that they liked the Valentines cards I sent them which I am happy about. I just wanted each of my friends to know that I was thinking of them during the occasion.

In other news that guy that I told you about when we talked about the Super Bowl that works at the same place I do well guess what guess what guess what. I saw him today in his office and we had another great conversation. There's a lot to like about him from his eyes to his smile and his voice. Today he was wearing another great suit today. He always looks quite nice in a suit but I'm sure he would look just as nice in jeans and a t-shirt or even a paper bag of that I'm sure. I have to admit that I have something of a crush on him which is probably obvious by now which he has no knowledge of.

In other news lately I've been into watching a show called "Gilmore Girls" here is a link if you want to check it out -----> http://www.cwtv.com/shows/gilmore-girls . I didn't used to like it as much as I do now I don't know why.

My dear world I have a question to ask you: Have you ever been to a Library book sale ??? Well I went to one today. There is a library near my home that I go to sometimes and today I went there again. They had some books on sale 50% off so I went in, looked around and bought some. One of the books I picked up is titled "THE HAUNTING" written by a writer named Joan Lowery Nixon. I haven't read any of her books this one is my first. Apparently the book is a ghost story so I will start reading it and tell you some of the bone chilling bits and pieces okay ????

Enough about me and my day how was your day dear world ? How are things in your neck of the woods ? I hope you had as filling a day as I did. I also hope you have a great weekend. I don't have any big plans but you never know what might pop up.

That's about it for me. I'll talk to you again soon dear world.

A Little Treat For Valentines Day

Hello dear world

How are you ? Being that its nearly Valentines Day I thought I would share a very interesting note with you.

Recently archaeologists in Italy have discovered a couple buried 5,000 to 6,000 years ago near the town of Mantova, located in Northern Italy, hugging eachother. Elena Menotti who led the archaeology team on their dig near the northern city of Mantova said "Its an extraordinary case." "There has not been a double burial found in the Neolithic Period, much less two people hugging and they are really hugging". Menotti said "she believed the two, almost certainly are of a man and a woman although that needs to be confirmed, died young because their teeth were mostly intact and not worn down. You can check out this site to see the couple for yourself -------- http://ellipsissuddenlycarly.blogspot.com/

Personally I wonder who were the two lovers. Were they Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet who weren't able to be together in life because of their families ? Where they two young people caught up in the tragedy of some war ? I can only imagine what it must have been like for the archaeologists when the team unearthed the couple.

I bet anything that the couple that was found that when they first met knew instantly that they loved one another. Perhaps the couple proves that love is a real tangible thing. The couple locked forever in their eternal embrace might also prove that love can withstand time even in the hour of death. I wonder what the name of the two were.....I think the two of these young people made quite a love story for us all to share in but its also a sad story as well.

----------------------------------------------------------------

In other news it was another day at work for me but the weather was nice until later in the afternoon when it got a little cold and decided to rain. As you all know tomorrow is "VALENTINES DAY" just thought I would remind you.

Do you know that all day long I've had the song "feeling good" by Michael Buble stuck in my head and I couldn't get it out of my head. Has this ever happened to you ??? Has a song ever gotten stuck in your head and there was no way to get it out ?? Don't get me wrong I like him as a singer but not when the song goes on and on and on and on and on and you get the jist of what I'm talking about. Here is a link for you to share in ---------> http://www.michaelbuble.com/ .

So how are you dear world ? How was the weather in your neck of the woods ? Do you have any plans for Valentines Day ???? I hope you have a memorable one with your family, friends and perhaps coworkers. Do take care my dear world.

If I don't get a chance to talk to you tomorrow "HAPPY VALENTINES DAY" from me to you.

Byyyyyyye !!!!!!!!!!!

The Beauty of Paper

Hello dear world

How are you ? This entry was inspired by Charley of "Courage" and Rebecca of "In The Shadow Of The Iris".

Charley @ Courage commented in Rebecca's journal with this comment: "This might seem pedantic, but what type of notebook do you use ? I myself have two that I carry with me, and I'm wondering which kind do you use and why you use it as opposed to another."

Well I'll tell you what Charley and Rebecca, I'll answer that question today here in my journal, complete with introspective ramblings. I'm sure many of you would say that its high time that I share a meaningful well thoughtout entry with you so here it is....

I too covet fine paper goods like an antiquarian collects rare books. If I'm going to take the time to place my words in something I want it to be placed within the hands of another human being so I want it to be a written record of me and my life.

For me there are two writing categories in which my notebooks fall, but one prevailing condition, stipulation and habit is lines, more lines and even more lines and yes more lines. I am of the College-ruled mentality. Lines, more lines and more lines and then even more lines mantra.

I feel about the same passion about no blue pens allowed as well as green, red, orange, pink, purple etc, etc, etc, etc. Back to what I was saying.

Collections: There are notebooks I stick under my bed like a woman would with her most prized jewels. Or like a young child would with a few bars of chocolate he/she hides from their parent. My 100% preferred notebook is purchased at Hobby Lobby. They are hard bound, blue, wire spine and rich blue and brown blank paper with embellishments on the side of the paper. These books are ideal for sporadic ramblings, poems, quotes, letters written never to be sent or secret embarrassing thoughts. At Hobby Lobby you can purchase them in all shapes, sizes and colors and I definitely couldn't live without them.

Since my handwriting is what you might call disorderly. When I have a notebook filled with lines I feel as if my writing won't go running all down, over and across the page. I don't do well without lines. My writing without lines would be like a tennis player playing without a net or a golfer playing without a golf club. Lines on paper for me tend to make me feel like an artist like that of Michelangelo or like Leonardo da Vinci.

I agree with Rebecca that all writing is a ritual. It's up to the individual to define how much enjoyment they will get from the process. I also have no doubt that pleasure is different from person to person. If someone happens to like no lines, red pens or a calligraphy pen, then that's all that matters, its up to the writer. I swear I won't hold it against you either.

If you don't have a notebook here is a poem by one of my favorite poets that might get you started on your way....

Stolen Minutes

I steal minutes

when I can, take

them for my own use,

sometimes to sit

thinking my own

odd-angled thoughts,

sometimes watching

as a pencil searches

its way across

the untracked page,

sometimes listening

to that voice,

imperceptible

except to that part

of the ear

that feels,

more than it hears,

what is said.

-------------------------c.1996 RLB ( Chosen Words )

My dear world I now set before the task of sharing your thoughts on this. I will certainly be wondering what you have to say.

Good-night dear world

A Most Beautiful Day Indeed

Hello dear world

How is everyone doing today ? I am doing quite well I must say. It was a wonderful 57 degrees here in my neck of the woods and I loved it. You might be surprised to know that I did some yard work today. I helped my family to rake up some pine straw and a big blanket of leaves which covered our yard out front of our house. If you drove by you could actually see our yard again. Raking the yard reminded me of something the poet Robert Frost once wrote.

What I like best's the lay of different farms,

Coming out on them from a stretch of woods,

Or over a hill or round a sudden corner.

I like to find the folks getting out in Spring,

Raking the dooryard, working near the house.

Later they get out further in the fields....

The fields are stripped to lawn, the garden patches

Stripped to bare ground, the maple trees

To whips and poles....

----------------------------------------------------------------

Let me tell you my dear world it sure feels as if Spring is on its way. It was a really amazingly beautiful day and I wanted to share it with all of you. The sky was a wonderful shade of blue and the whole day was just perfect. I wish I could have bottled this day and mailed it to all of you.

Anywho....after working outdoors I watched a movie that you all might have to see. The movie is "First Comes Love" with John Stamos its a great movie to see for Valentines Day I liked it so if you get a chance to see it I'm sure you will like it too.

So how was your day dear world ? What did you do today ? I hope you had a really nice Sunday. Tomorrow will start another week at work for me. Don't forget about Valentines Day !!!!

Take care everyone. Byyyyyyye !!!!!!!!

Some Thoughts

Hello dear world

How is everyone ?? I heard some news. I am sad to report that Anna Nicole Smith has passed away. I have to say that I think she was a good person deep down. She just got caught up in the fame that she tried so hard to be a part of. It has to be known that everyone has problems and yes even celebrities with fame and fortune have problems too. Just when you think you have it hard you see that someone else has it harder than you. She lost her young son recently and now she's gone. Many people have been critical of her today and she hasn't even been buried yet which I think is quite sad. The death of a man, a woman or a child is always a horrible thing to hear about. Anna was someone's daughter, someone's friend and someone's something. Anyone's death is a tragic thing. The loss of a life is never something to laugh at. She is gone and we should have respect for her family during this time.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On a more different note I was reading a journal that everyone should visit here is the link -------> http://journals.aol.ca/plittle/AuroraWalkingVacation/ .

In one of the entries there is a question:

Is Valentines Day a genuinely romantic day ? Or just a big commercial money pit into which romantic people fall ?

Before I was welcomed to J-Land I would have said right off the bat that Valentines Day is a big commercial money pit into which romantic people fall. I have since changed my mind. I am now enjoying Valentines Day. I have found many wonderful friends that have inspired me, taught me, opened me up in so many different ways and so many of you that have just been truly kind to me which I have been thankful for.

I have gotten to the point where I think that Valentines Day isn't just a genuinely romantic day but its also a special day for friends as well as for family. I have found friends in which I send cards to in which to show my appreciation for. I am including Valentines Day as part of that package.

I have also fallen head over heels in love with certain movies during this occasion such as:

Simply Irresistible

Chocolat

Crossing Delancey

You've Got Mail....for obvious reasons

84 Charing Cross Road

Love Actually

Under The Tuscan Sun

Bridget Jones' Diary

Footloose....with the world's greatest hunk Kevin Bacon

Hitch w/ Will Smith

Amelie

etc, etc, etc

I also think that Valentines Day is a perfect time for going out and picking up a good book to read. I have started reading a lot more during this time. I picked up a few today that I haven't read including the following:

Blueberry Muffin Murder by Joanne Fluke

Irish Dreams by Nora Roberts

and for my undying love for chocolate a book titled : Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder by Joanne Fluke

Anywho...I just thought I would share that with you. What do you think dear world ? I hope that you are doing well. I do have one tiny gripe though....Where is the sun ??? It is beyond cold in my neck of the woods and pretty soon I might just become "An Ice Lady". You might just pick up the newspaper tomorrow and find this headline:

An Ice Lady Was Found Recently Frozen Solid In Atlanta, Georgia

Sorry dear world am I weird or what ???

I will talk to you again soon. Take care my dear world.

A Little News

Hello dear world

How are you ? First things first...it was another day at work for me. I am happy to report that the weather in my neck of the woods warmed up quite a bit however it won't last but I enjoyed every minute of the warm afternoon. I can't wait until Springtime. As for me I have feeling pretty good I can't complain. I sure won't be missing the Icelandic Winter we've been having.

Anywho....I went to Blockbuster with one of my coworkers during my lunch break and the movies I wanted weren't out yet including "The Holiday" with Jack Black or "Catch And Release". They won't be released until March so I will have to mark that date on my calendar.

By the way tonight my favorite show Bones will be coming on which is my favorite television show. What's yours ?

In other news.....February 14th is fast approaching also known as Valentines Day. As you know I am still single but I will be celebrating the occasion with family, my coworkers and with those of you who I have addresses. I went out bought Hallmark Valentine cards, then I went to the Post Office and got some stamps and then I signed the cards and sealed the envelopes. Hopefully my cards will be arriving to all of you who have received cards from me during other holidays. If anyone else would like a card for Valentines Day please feel free to send me an e-mail and let me know if you would like to be getting a card.

Here are a few sites that might just get you in the mood for the special occasion :

I LOVED WATCHING THE SUPER BOWL !!!!!!

Hello dear world

Good evening how are you ? I am happy to report that the Indianapolis Colts won against the Chicago Bears 29 - 17 even though it rained endlessly throughout the game. However the best part of the Super Bowl was seeing Prince perform during the Super Bowl halftime show. It was really nice hearing him sing "Purple Rain". Prince hasn't changed a bit he is still the world's greatest singer.

So my dear world how was your night ?? How did you spend your Sunday ? Did you watch any of the Super Bowl ? I have to say that I am a huge fan of the Halftime shows as well as watching the players play. I just thought that I would share that with you.

Take care dear world. I'll talk to you again soon.

Byyyye !!!!!!!!!

Put Your Records On....

Hello dear world

How are you ? I am quite wonderful and I'm feeling good. I want to share a song that I like with you.

Put Your Records On

three little birds sat on my window and they told me I don't need to worry

summer came like cinnamon, so sweet,

little girls double-dutch on the concrete.

maybe sometimes,

we've got it wrong but it's alright, the more things seem to change,

the more they stay the same.

ooo,don't you hesitate.

girl put your records on,

tell me your favorite song,

you go ahead let your hair down.

sapphire and faded jeans,

I hope you get your dreams,

just go ahead let your hair down.

you're going to find yourself somewhere, somehow.

blue as the sky, sunburnt and lonely, sipping tea by the roadside.

just relax, just relax,

don't let those other boys fool you.

got to love that afro hair do.

maybe sometimes, we feel afraid but its alright,

the more you stay the same, the more they seem to change,

don't you think its strange ?

girl put your records on, tell me your favorite song,

you go ahead let your hair down.

sapphire and faded jeans,

i hope you get your dreams,

just go ahead let your hair down,

you're going to find yourself somewhere, somehow.

'twas more than I could take,

pity for pity's sake,

some nights kept me awake,

i thought that i was stronger,

when you going to realise that you don't even have to try any longer ?

do what you want to,

girl put your records on....

What's your favorite song ? I'll talk to you later.

Some News

Hello dear world

How are you ? I am fine thanks. It was another cold day here in my neck of the woods but hopefully Spring will be coming soon.

In other news...earlier this evening me, my sister and my mom went to a school called McINTOSH High School in order to see my niece and her step team from her school "Our Lady of Mercy Catholic High School" here is a link ------> http://www.olmbobcats.org/ . If you click on the site you will see the words Athletics Home---click on those words which will bring up the site directing you to the words step team, click on the words step team which will direct you to the picture of my niece and her team. My niece is located on the 2nd row in the picture the 2nd to the last young lady on the right. My niece's name is Jeanette by the way and she is wearing glasses < just a little hint.

Anyway....at McIntosh High there were other schools there and their step teams competing in the step team competition. I have to tell you she did wonderfully. She is a very talented young lady and I was proud of her and the team. Her school will be competing in another competition soon. I just had to share that with you.

So how was your day dear world ? How is the weather in your neck of the woods ? Is it as cold where you are as it is here in Georgia ? I hope you had a really wonderful day and I hope you will have a very nice Sunday.

I also wanted to point out some new friends of mine named Eva and John who live in Scotland. A Day of Birthdays

Hello dear world

Its Groundhog's Day !!!!! Punxsutawney Phil didn't see his shadow today so hopefully Spring will be coming soon to my neck of the woods. The last time Phil failed to see his shadow was in 1999.  I am just ready for this Winter weather to go off somewhere perhaps to Spain or Czechoslovakia just not here. It was a very dark wintry day full of moody gray clouds and I can tell you that no one could see their shadow on a day like it was today. You might also want to know that my mother celebrated her birthday today. Unfortunately she stayed home today because she is suffering with a bad cold.

Later in the evening me, my sister and my nieces went to a place in my neck of the woods called "Chuck E. Cheese's" so my youngest niece Megan could celebrate her birthday there ------> http://www.chuckecheese.com/ . On the way we picked up one of my oldest nieces friends. Once we got there I purchased some tokens for my nieces. I bought them quite a few which they liked. I enjoy spoiling my nieces they love it. A few minutes later some of my sister's friends came and I had ordered some extra pizza and then I bought some extra tokens for them to play games with. The place is filled with kids everywhere playing games, parents running around with their children and the employees walking around delivering pizza's to different tables as well as cleaning up. I spent the evening at one of the tables dispensing tokens to my nieces so they were able to go and play. I am very happy to report that everyone had fun.

I have something of a personal note to tell you if you don't mind. There is a guy at my work whose office is located on the 3rd floor. Today I got a chance to see him. We had another great conversation. He asked me what team I was rooting for in Sunday's game which I told him the colts. I told him that my family and I have a little food at the house. While I was talking to him I wanted to tell him that he could come to the house and see the game but of course I didn't. I can tell you that he has a really amazing smile and a great personality. Its always so nice talking to him. There's just something about him. I always get a little shy when I talk to him. I don't say what I would like to him but what we do talk about is nice because I really like talking to him. I am a bit silly dear world I know. It might be that I have a little crush on him. I doubt that he thinks about me like I do him but that's alright. I just had to tell you that little something dear world. Enough of my silliness....

So how was your day dear world ???? How is the weather in your neck of the woods ? Did you see your shadow ????

Good-night dear world !!!!!

Some News

Hello dear world

How are you ? I can tell you that we didn't get any snow in my neck of the woods. We got quite a bit of rain and cold weather. It would have been nice to have been snowed in though.

In other news today was my niece Megan's 7th birthday. She got some things that she really liked so she was happy. She was excited opening her birthday presents very much so.

Yesterday I got ( 2 ) CD'S one the CD'S is a mixture of different songs including "Fall Out Boy w/ the song "Sugar, We're Goin Down" and "Lifehouse-with the song "You & Me" as well as "Coldplay w/the song "Fix You". The other CD was by Luciano Pavarotti.

Today I did a little more shopping. I got ( 2 ) more CD'S one by Corinne Bailey Ray and the other is by Norah Jones whose CD is titled "Not Too Late". I also bought some shirts including a red one that I like.

My dear world you might want to know that The American Heart Association is launching a national "GO RED FOR WOMEN" campaign during the month of February. The campaign is to raise awareness as well as funds for research and education for Heart Disease. Last year the association raises $23 million for the campaign. This year's goal is $28 million. Why am I telling you this ? Well tomorrow is official "Wear All Red Day" which I will be wearing the red shirt that I bought today. Here is a link ----------> http://www.americanheart.org/

On a more different note I was given a candy called "Coffeebeat" which was my 1st time trying it. It was a mixture of coffee and chocolate. Of course chocolate is a good thing.

So how was your day dear world ? Did you get any snow in your neck of the woods ? I hope your day was a nice one. Do take care my dear world.

Good-night
