Today's Notes.......

Hello Dear World !!!!!

How are you these days ? It was a rather steamy day here in Georgia and it seems to be getting hotter. This heat wave doesn't seem to want to end. If you happen to hear on the news that someone in Georgia melted from the extreme heat just know it was me. I don't think it could get any hotter but lately it seems to be getting that way.

In other news...I had went to the grocery store and my eyes fell upon ( 2 ) books that I saw and I immediately had to buy them. One of the books was titled " Full House " which was written by a wonderful writer named Janet Evanovich. Here is her link ------> http://www.evanovich.com/ . Full House was a funny story as well as it being a great romance novel. Her writing is wonderful, interesting as well as full of humor. After a few more days I went to the store and picked up one of her other great books. The book is titled "Smitten" which was both great and funny. After reading some of her books I became an instant fan. Once I started reading her writing I found it hard to put her books down.

I will certainly purchase more of her books in the future. Her books are well worth being read. I could read her books over and over and never get tired of her books. I have to say that I hated finishing reading her books. I recommend her books highly.......I give her books 10 **********.

By the way....If you don't hear from me by this Saturday know that I am camping with my family. We are leaving to go to the campground Saturday and I shall return to you soon. I will miss chatting with you.

Last but not least......how was your day dear world ????

Now tell me will you miss me ????

Anyway......I'll be back.......

Good-night !!!!!!

A Most Wonderful, Wonderful, Wonderful,Wonderful Day !!!!!!!!!

Hello Dear World !!!!!!!!

How are you ? As it might not be obvious by the title of my entry this has been a most wonderful, wonderful, wonderful, wonderful, wonderful day !!!!!!! My day began with a very interesting morning. Why was my morning interesting ? Well it all began with a group of guys who came to take the soda machines out of the building I work in. Two of the guys looked at my shirt which read : "I Lost My Number Can I Have Yours ?" They made some rather flirtatious comments to me which I wasn't expecting. Then later in the morning a lawyer that works in the building remembered seeing me at the theater. He started a conversation with me which I also wasn't expecting. It was nice talking to the lawyer he was a really nice person.

Anyway.....After I got off of work I stopped off at a Kroger near my work. Let me tell you there was a really nice looking guy sitting in his car with his window rolled down. On my way through the parking lot I walked past his window and I said hello to him. He then said hello to me and asked me how I was doing. Later on when I returned to the car he looked over at me from his car and once more as I left the parking lot. I know that I should have stayed and talked to him some more but I had to get home to put up the stuff I bought.

Right now I think it would be impossible to find just one guy to fall in love with when there's different guys I see out in the world that I think are nice looking and that I would like to go out with.

However there might be hope for me yet. I have a lot more to learn about guys and improving my flirting skills but I'm working on it.

Anyway I can say that today I felt really, really, really, really goodSo dear world how was your day today ? It was quite warm in my neck of the woods but I didn't mind it today. Anything new happen for you ???? I would like to hear all about it.

Anyway...I'll talk to you later dear world. Byyyyyye for now !!!!!!!

John Mayer and Mat Kearney....

Hello Dear World !!!!!

How are you ? I have a question.....Who is your favorite singer/songwriter ?

Well mine happens to be John Mayer without a doubt. Here is a link to find out about him ------> http://www.johnmayer.com/ . One of my favorite songs of his is "Your Body Is A Wonderland". One of my other favorite songs of his "My Stupid Mouth". He is also a very talented guitar player as well.

Recently I found out about another great singer/songwriter. His name is Mat Kearney. Here is a link to check him out ----------> http://www.matkearney.com/ . He is also a talented guitar player just like John. He has a new CD out I will have to go out and buy it since hearing it on the radio. He does have a wonderful voice and I enjoy his music as I do listening to John's.

On a different note: Let me ask you.....How are things in your neck of the woods ? It wasn't so hot today as it has been but it was a little warm but it was as blistering as it has been in the last couple of days.

I also wanted to tell you that I will be away next week on a camping trip with my family which I will tell you about before I go away. The name of it is called "Duckett Mill". It is located in Gainesville, Georgia. Here is a link if you want to see it -----------> http://www.reserveusa.com/nrrs/ga/ducm/index.html . I will give you more details later. I know I will miss talking to you when I'm gone but I'm sure I will have lots to tell you. I will be away for a week. On the link there is a little thing that says "Photos" you can check out some pictures of the place when you click on "Photos". You will notice the words "About This Campground" you will see a camera and next to it...it says photos. Click where it says photos and you will see where I will be headed.....Tell me what you think of the place.

For now I hope you have a nice evening and I will talk to you soon.

Good night dear world.....Sleep Well !!!!

About Last Night.......And Today.........

Hello Dear World !!!!!!!!! Of course it was a rather humid day but hopefully we will get some rain in soon and don't worry I didn't fall off the face of the earth here I am. Well let me lay out my day for you which began early yesterday when we got on the road to visit some of our distant cousins from New Orleans in Snellville, Georgia or as I would call it Snailville. Now first things first....Of course we got lost. By we I mean my folks, both of my nieces and me. Anyway......we landed up in Atlanta which was nice because we actually saw some places that we never saw or went to before. But later on we got to where we were supposed to be heading which was one of our cousins' houses. It was like visiting a foreign country.

Later that night we followed some of our other cousins to a Holiday Inn. We went to one of the rooms where my folks talked for quite a while to some of our other cousins from New Orleans, Louisiana. It was nice seeing them since we hadn't seen them for quite a while. Later that night my nieces and I spent half of the night walking around the hotel going to some of the other rooms where some of our other cousins were staying. For the rest of the night we just walked around the halls. My family and I didn't leave the hotel until after midnight.

On our way home we stopped off at a Waffle House where we had breakfast. Let me tell you there was an older gentleman there who was dressed in a pink hat which had been precisely placed to the side. His clothing was a flowery pink and black shirt and black dancing shoes. He also wore some kind of cape around his neck. He looked like he had stepped out of the Disco Era. When he walked into the Waffle House he didn't just walk he had this way of dancing as he walked. You know its like another world opens up at 1 a.m. It was like stepping into a time warp. I guess you could say our night was rather strange once we left the hotel.

One last night.......All of my cousins had asked me if I was married. That was the only question they kept asking me. When they found out I was 30 years old they all took a breath like someone had hit them with a bat. They were shocked to find out I wasn't married. Why is it that seems to be the only question family members ever ask me ???

-------------------------------------------------

Here is what we did today.......Before the voices in my head take over.......just kidding......ha,ha,ha,ha,ha. Anyway I had a really enjoyable day. Today my family and I went to Kohl's. Here is the link ----------> www.kohls.com/ . At Kohl's I purchased some rather funny shirts. One of the shirts reads: "Gone To My Happy Place - Back Soon". I also bought me some new tennis shoes. After Kohl's we took a ride to a store called Staples. Here is its link........> www.staples.com . At Staples we purchased some school supplies for my nieces. Then after we left we went to lunch at a great restaurant called "Backyard Burgers". Here is the link to the restaurant........> www.backyardburgers.com . We ate some of the best tasting burgers you could ever imagine. It was like a professional chef had cooked them. The meat on the burgers were Black Angus Beef which were quite wonderful. At the restaurant they also serve some of the best tasting chili in like the world. I treated my family to lunch which they did enjoy. My family and I really liked the place and I plan to take them back some time when we get the chance. Both of my nieces gave the place a thumbs up so you know if young ones like a place then you know its a place worth eating at.

Enough about me.......How was your day dear world ? I'm ready to hear all about you. I'm sure I will have tons to tell you when my week is over at work.......Yes its back to work for me tomorrow. Anyway.......I hope your night is quite nice I will be spending the rest of my night watching a little television and just hanging out.

I wanted to tell you that I watched one of my favorite shows on television called "My Fair Brady" which included the wedding of Christopher Knight of "The Brady Bunch" and Adrianne Curry of "America's Next Top Model". They are officially married and I would like to wish them both lots of happiness and "Congratulations" on their nuptials. Its nice to hear when two people find eachother in this world through love. I guess I'm a romantic at heart. CONGRATULATIONS CHRISTOPHER AND ADRIANNE !!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish you both years and years of love and happiness in your future together.

Here's one last note: There is now a live wild grizzly cam sponsored by National Geographic. You can see grizzly bears up close and personal without having to go outdoors even if you should wish to.  I'm sure Timothy Treadwell would be proud. Here is a link -------> http://magma.nationalgeographic.com/ngm/wildcamgrizzlies/resources.html . I wonder what if the grizzlies find where the cam is located and eat it ? Would you want to see the inside of a grizzly bear's stomach ? That would certainly be a sight to see don't you think ???

That's all for now take care dear world........I'll talk to you soon. Byyyyyyyyyye for now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some More News.......

Hello Dear World !!!!!!!

How am I doing ? I'm wonderfulllllll thankssssss for asking ( this is me singing ). Anywho.....How are you ? Are you melting in the heat as I am ? I'm in a little bit of a silly mood today.

What have I been up to you might be wondering......hmmmmmmm. Well last night I watched a rather great movie called "The Wedding Crashers" with Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson which was quite funny by the way. Here is a link for you to preview ---------> http://www.weddingcrashersmovie.com/ . The best part of the movie for me was Vince Vaughn who isn't just a talented actor but he's quite gorgeous and quite funny I must say. In my opinion he is far better looking than Brad Pitt any day. I can see why Jennifer Aniston likes him. You have to watch it you will find yourself laughing throughout the movie.

On a different note I also read a very good book titled "Trouble In Paradise" written by Robert B. Parker. In the book Robert's hero Jesse Stone, settles into his position as police chief of a place called Paradise, Massachusetts. But there's trouble in Paradise when the wealthy community of Stiles Island catches the eye of thieves who come to look at a house.....and they end up doing much......much more. You have to read this book its worth reading. By the way another great actor Tom Selleck also stars in a movie called "Stone Cold" in which he plays the police chief Jesse Stone. The movie was also written by the New York Times Bestselling author Robert B. Parker. I also happen to think that Tom Selleck is also gorgeous. Here is a link ---------> http://www.cbs.com/specials/stone_cold/ .

I also watched another wonderful movie called "A Life Less Ordinary" Starring Ewan McGregor and Cameron Diaz. The movie is a comedy as well as a love story. I really really liked it and it made me laugh. Ewan is another great actor who happens to be nice looking as well. He was quite funny in the movie. I really liked him in the movie. I can't wait to see this movie and "The Wedding Crashers" once more on television.

Anyway......What have you been up to dear world ? Have you read any good books lately ??? and have you seen any movies that you would like to share ? I do hope that this heat wave ends soon I am beginning to feel like an overcooked chicken who was left in the oven too long. I certainly wouldn't mind going to Colorado or Iceland. Do you know anyplace that gets snow all year round ??? Georgia could use some snow preferably 40-60 inches.

Last but not least I hope that you had a rather wonderful day and I would like to wish you all a very great night...........Byyyyyyyye for now !!!!!!!!!

A Little Funny Note.....

Hello Dear World....

How are you ? First things first....Here in my neck of the woods its still quite hot. By the time this week is over the bottoms of my shoes will have melted from this heat.....Of course it was another day of work for me also. So have I ever told you where I work ? Well let me do so now.....I work at a courthouse. The name of the courthouse is the H.R. Banke Justice Center located in Jonesboro , G.A. Here is a link --------------> http://www.co.clayton.ga.us .

Anyway......At the moment I have a rather huge black eye and I'm sure you would like to know why. Well I was in a fight with a world class boxer and I won.....you should see him...ha,ha,ha,ha, ha, just kidding. Actually I was opening the door to a police car....No its not what you think. Actually I was going home with my father who happens to work in law enforcement and we rode home in one of the police cars because he had to go back to work. Anyway......We had stopped off somewhere to take care of some business. I was getting back into the police car when silly me......I wasn't watching how far the car door was open when I hit the right side of my eye on the police car door. I am keeping ice on my eye and hopefully I won't end up with a huge swelling tomorrow. I am thinking that I might stick with my fight story as an explanation for the black eye what you think ???? I'm sure someone at work will say something to me about my eye tomorrow.

Well that's enough about me....How are things in your neck of the woods ? Have you done anything silly lately that you might want to mention ? Am I alone for being accident prone ? I just had to share this with you. I would also like to ask if someone has any rain or snow they could send my way I would appreciate it highly being that this heat wave never seems to end. That's about all for now.......I'll talk to you again soon dear world.

I've gotta go......I'm off again like a dirty shirt.......Byyyyyye !!!!!!!!

What I Did Yesterday...........

Hello Dear World !!!!!!

How are you ? Well last night my family and I went to a theater here in my neck of the woods which is a place called Clayton County, Ga. The name of the theater is AMC where we saw "The Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" which is a great, great, great, great, great, great, great movie. Johnny Depp was quite funny as usual and Orlando Bloom let me tell you was wonderful as well as gorgeous. Orlando Bloom and Johnny are AMAZING actors and they deserve 10 awards for this movie. The movie was funny, scary and exciting all at the same time. There was so much going on in the movie that I can't wait for it to come on DVD so I can buy it and see it again. I give the movie an "A+" for the entire movie and for performances by Orlando and Johnny both. I won't tell you how it ended but you can be sure that there will be another one coming up. If you haven't seen it you need to go see it immediately !!!!!!!!! Before going to your seat make sure you grab some popcorn and a soda. You are going to LOVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVE this movie.

The next movie I want to go see is " The Lake House " with Keanu Reeves. I just love Keanu Reeves next to Orlando and Johnny that is. Anyway.......earlier today my sister, my 2 nieces and I went to the Mall. While we were there apparently there was going to be a fight out in the parking lot which was started by an older man who should have known better. Luckily the fight wasn't able to start because one of the women working in a jewelry store at the time ran to get a police officer who was walking around the mall. The police officer ran outside and called for backup which arrived before the fight got started. The police officer returned with the backup inside the mall where nothing else happened. My sisters, my 2 nieces and I continued walking around the mall and we did some window shopping. We then arrived at one store called " Claire's " where I purchased 2 bracelets that I liked. I also got a really nice pen for free since I made a purchase which my oldest niece liked which of course I was happy to give to her.

After the mall we went to one of my sister's friends boyfriend's house. Later on my sister, both of my nieces and I had decided after a while to take a ride to Krispy Kreme which is a doughnut shop here in my neck of the woods. Here's a note : Krispy Kreme has some of the world's greatest doughnuts you can ever imagine. During the day they have the glazed doughnuts taken straight from the oven and placed in boxes for people such as myself who like to purchase them as a snack. I also lovvvvvvvvvvve their chocolate glazed ones. The chocolate melts in your mouth as you bit into it. I just love every visit to Krispy Kreme as if it were my 1st time. Do you have any doughnut shops in your neck of the woods dear world ?? I would also like to know what your favorite kind of doughnut is ?

Of course it was another rather steamy day here in Georgia. I'm sure it will cool off soon at least I hope so. I don't think it could get any hotter.....How is the weather where you are ? Any heat waves in your neighborhood ?

I wanted to let you know that tomorrow is "National Peach Ice Cream Day". I also wanted to tell you about a wonderful journal. The journal is titled "Bottled Dreams" written by a wonderful writer named Terry. Here is his link -----------------------------> http://journals.aol.com/terrydreams/TerryDreams . You will enjoy reading about his many travels. Drop over and say hello and tell him I sent you.

Anyway.......I hope your day was as nice as mine. By the way have you done any shopping ??? I'll talk to you soon my dear friends........

Good-night and Sweet Dreams !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some Wacky Stuff........

Hello Dear World !!!!!!

How are you ? First things first today is "National Tapioca Pudding Day". Well a few minutes ago the sky got dark and the wind started blowing and then it rained. Of course the rain is now gone and its back to being hot again here in Georgia.

At the moment I'm in a state of consciousness or otherwise known as that annoying time between naps. Anyway.....Here is a little something you might not know....Beef jerky is one of the most wanted snack foods in the world according to the news. I also found out that the leggiest of all 10,000 millipede species had remained hidden until it was first indentified in 1926. You might also want to know that a man in Las Vegas ate 47 grilled cheese sandwiches in 10 minutes. Also a few weeks ago the same man ate 50 hot dogs. Here is a little bit of information you might also not know: The smallest bone in the human body is the stapes or stirrup bone located in the middle ear it is approximately .11 inches ( .28 cm. ) long.

Here are ( 3 ) things you might like to try.....of course no supervision of any kind is needed.

1. As often as possible, skip rather than walk

2. Laugh. Laugh some more !!!

3. Run with scissors

In other news my family and I are going to the movies to see "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest". I'm sure I will lovvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvve the movie. I really am a fan of Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom.

Anyway........as Ralph Waldo Emerson once wrote "Nothing is at last sacred but the integrity of your own mind" but as Dizzy Dean also once wrote " The doctors x-rayed my head and found nothing".

For now its time for me to go before some men in lab coats come and take me away to a place filled with rubber walls. So I'm off like a dirty shirt.

Byyyyyyyyyyyyyyye !!!!! Talk to you soon dear world.

Something New......

Hello Dear World !!!!!

How are you ? Well here in my neck of the woods it was another steamy day here in Georgia. It was hot enough to set off volcanoes all over the world not that I'm complaining. Of course it was another day at work for me. Work is keeping me busy which is nothing new. As for me and my family we are doing well. After work my puppy Hobo had to go back to the Vet for 2 more shots and a check up. Hobo now weighs 16.9 lbs. the doctor said he gained 7 pounds. The doctor also told us that he will probably grow to be 40-50 lbs. He didn't like the shots but he had a little puppie treat while the doctor gave him his shots. He also gave us another heart worm pill for us to give him next month. My mom and my oldest niece was there to help keep him calm. The nurse noticed that we had a flea collar on Hobo which she came to inform us that it would be better for us to get Frontline which helps to prevent fleas and ticks. Hobo's check-up went well of course and he is healthy. His next appointment is in ( 3 ) weeks for the last of his shots. After that he won't have to get shots except once  a year. Hobo is getting bigger and bigger every day. He is also eating like a full grown dog. We were informed by the vet that Hobo is 12 weeks old so it looks like we will be keeping Hobo after all. I think its a little too late to give him up now don't you think ?

Anyway.......Tomorrow night my cousin Peter will be going back home it certainly was nice seeing him again. I will miss him when he leaves and I will be waiting for the next time he flies in to see us.

In other news its been hard to turn on the television and just as hard to open the newspaper without reading about another bombing or to hear about the things going on in the Middle East. So I just decided to focus on things that I like.....shopping. Today my dad and I did take a little ride to the pool store where I picked up a little gift for my mom which she liked.

Being that its been rather hot dear world I thought I would share a little recipe with you that you might enjoy. The recipe is for a "Chocolate Cherry Smoothie". Here is the recipe if you would like to try it for yourself:

Chcolate Cherry Smoothie

Ingredients:

1 cup frozen cherries

1 ripe banana, cut in thirds

3/4 cup nonfat plain yogurt

1/4 cup apple juice

2 tablespoons chocolate syrup

In a blender, combine cherries, banana, yogurt, apple juice and chocolate syrup. Process ingredients until throughly blended and smooth.

----------------------------------------------------------------

I also thought I would share a poem with you. The title of the poem is " Ode to Chocolate " by Sharona Gilbert.

Ode to Chocolate

I sat down to write an ode

To chocolate

With a hershey's bar on the desk

My inspiration

I wanted to write about

Its smooth texture

And tempting aroma.

Wafting up to

Tease my nostrils

But unfortunately

All that is left

Of my sweet muse

Is currently being licked

Off my fingers.

I hope you have a really nice night..........Take care.

Update.......

Hello Dear World.....

How are you ? It was another steamy day here in Georgia. I just have a little bit of news today. Yesterday ( 2 ) of my favorite movies came on television. One of them was "XXX" with Vin Diesel. Vin Diesel is another one of my favorite actors and I happen to think he's a really nice looking guy. My other favorite movie "Chasing Liberty" with Matthew Goode came on. Matthew Goode is another one of my favorite actors. Here is the link to Chasing Liberty ---------> http://www2.warnerbros.com/chasingliberty/ .

For dinner my aunt and uncle and my cousin Peter came over for dinner and we had Thanksgiving early. We had candied yams, cornbread, cucumber salad, catfish and black eyed peas with rice. My uncle, my cousin and my folks had chitterlings or also known as chitlins which I don't eat. I can say that our Thanksgiving dinner was nice.

I have some rather sad news which happened in India but I am a little too hurt to talk about it. All I want to say right now is that a bombing hit in India which is quite sad. I heard on the news that some people were injured and others were killed. I will talk to you about it at a later date. I just can't understand how someone could want to do something so terrible.

Anyway.....I'll talk to you later dear world.

Good Night.

My Monday......

Hello Dear World !!!!

First let me say good evening to you. How are you today ? Today I can report that I have more good news. Of course my cousin Peter is in town and he will be with us until Friday which is nice. Its really nice seeing him since we haven't seen him in a while. Once again here in Atlanta it was a rather steamy day here in my neck of the woods but I'm getting used to the heat. Anyway......On to some more good news. The Atlanta Braves scored recently 8-3 against the Cincinnati Reds at home on Sunday. The Braves will be going to San Diego, St. Louis and Philadelphia during a 10-game trip that starts Friday in California. Even though they are still 13 games behind NL East leader New York and 6 and a half behind wild-card leader Los Angeles, with 7 teams between them and the Dodgers the Atlanta Braves were able to score and win a rather great game.

I am also happy to report that Italy clinched the World Cup final during the penalty kick shootout phase. Here is a site you might want to check out ---------> http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/ .

I am also overjoyed to report that my very favorite race car driver Jeff Gordon won Sunday's Nextel Cup Race at Chicagoland Speedway. It was Gordon's first victory at the suburban Chicago track and his second victory of the season. Jeff also won ( 2 ) weeks ago at Infineon Raceway. Here is Jeff's website ----------->  http://www.jeffgordon.com/ . Here  is NASCAR's site as well ------- http://www.nascar.com .

In my other news earlier this evening my family and I went to my cousins house today with my cousin Peter. My cousin has a wife and ( 5 ) kids I don't know if I told you that or not. You might say they are "The Brady Bunch". Did you know that "The Brady Bunch was a television show that I used to watch. Here is a link for you to check out --------- http://www.tvland.com/shows/brady_bunch/ . Before we left my cousin's house we got to see some Vampire Bats that were flying around his cul-de-sac in his neck of the woods. Its been a while since I've seen Vampire Bats. The last time I saw any Vampire Bats was when I visited a place called Apple Valley, California. I haven't seen any Vampire Bats in my neck of the woods but I got to see some tonight. You could say that it was like being in a Dracula movie because it was somewhat dark out and the moon was hiding behind some clouds which looked rather haunting. Here is a little site you could read about them ------------------> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vampire_bat .

Being that it is National Ice Cream Month I can tell you that my favorite ice cream is one called "Moose Tracks" and Mayfield's "Chocolate Chip". Here is its link --------> http://www.mayfielddairy.com/ .

So dear world how was your day ? I would also like to know how are things in your neck of the woods ? I would like to thank everyone for their wonderful thoughts and comments added to my journal. I really enjoy all of you stopping by and saying hello.

I will talk to you again later.........Byyyyyye for now.

Sweet Dreams !!!!!!!!!

Some Information......

Hello Dear World....

How are you this wonderful Sunday ?? First things first. My family is well and that includes myself. My cousin Peter is also well. You would love to meet him. He is still the world's greatest story and joke teller anyone would ever meet. He would certainly make you laugh if you ever met him. He came over for some of my mom's Gumbo which is still the best tasting Gumbo this side of Georgia.

In other news I was reading John Scalzi's journal "By The Way..." in which he described his trip to Boston which I must say I enjoyed. I myself have never been to Boston but I surfed the Web and found some things about Boston which might interest you.

First of all.....the main way into and out of Boston is Logan Airport which is serviced by numerous airlines. The airport is right across Boston Harbor from downtown Boston. There is also an airport subway stop. The main routes into Boston are I-90 (also known as the Massachusetts Turnpike) from the west and I-95 and I-93 from the north and the south. Boston has a number of "trolleys" ( buses made to look like trolleys ) that I read are a fun way to get around the city.

Boston itself has museums, sports to fresh seafood to Italian cuisine. Boston is one of America's oldest cities ( founded in 1630 ) . One of its most famous sites are the Paul Revere House in the North End. One of the places you might want to see is Faneuil Hall Marketplace, where you will find tons of street performers and a food court. The Marketplace also features tons of shopping ( including a way cool toy store called Zoinks ) . There's another place called Durgin Park in the Marketplace where you can get some classic Boston food including baked beans. Or you can walk a block to a place called the "Union Oyster House" which is not only historic but kid-friendly. There's also the "Haymarket" where you can find some classic Boston street theatre. I read that on a Friday or a Saturday it is a large fruit and vegetable market where the prices are cheap and the vendors are wonderful.

Boston also has museums for the young and old alike. There is a Museum of Science, a New England Aquarium and a Children's Museum as well the Harvard Museum of Natural History. You can check out one of Boston's sites at this link ---------> http://www.boston-online.com/visitors/ . You can also check out John Scalzi's journal "By The Way" at this link ---------> http://journals.aol.com/johnmscalzi/bytheway/ . I think after reading this you will most certainly want to visit Boston. If you would like some more information ask Mr. Scalzi himself I'm sure he could provide you with tons of information. I hope that I gave you a little taste of Boston without having to search through the entire library of course going to the library can be quite fun.

By the way: Did you know that July is National Ice Cream Month ? What is your favorite flavor of ice cream ? Is there a particular place you go for ice cream ?

Anyway..... have fun learning a little about Boston and I would like to wish you a very wonderful Sunday and I hope you enjoyed this little bit of news........Take care dear world

Byyyyyyyyye for now.

Some More News........

Hello Dear World !!!!!!

How are you today ?? I have some exciting news. Today my oldest niece turned "15" today. She is turning into one beautiful young lady and she is now taller than her auntie. I bought her a outfit last night at the mall which she loved so I'm happy she liked her gift.

I am also happy to report that "Pirates Of The Caribbean 2" premiered today. I can't wait to go see the movie at the theatre. I just love Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom. I would also like to see the movie "The Lake House" with Keanu Reeves who is one of my other favorite actors. Here are some links to check out:

The Lake House ------ http://thelakehousemovie.warnerbros.com/

I have more good news to report. One of my other cousins named Peter is flying in to visit me and my family which is wonderful. I haven't seen him in quite a while so it will be nice to see him again after not seeing him for a while. Its always nice when family members come to visit. I'm sure I will have lots to tell you after his visit with us. My mom is making a pot of Gumbo which she happens to make quite wonderfully. She used to live in New Orleans so she is good at making Creole dishes. I love her Gumbo. My mom's Gumbo would make Emeril look like a rookie in the kitchen next to her cooking. Here is his site ------ http://www.emerils.com/emeril/ . If you asked anyone in my family they would say the same thing. She is one great cook let me tell you.

Of course it was another day at work for me. The weather here was quite lovely today compared to the weather recently which has practically cooked everything in sight.

By the way my puppy Hobo is getting bigger by the day. I am happy to report that he started his first bag of adult dog food last night and eats every bit of it down to the last nugget. Due to him always finishing his puppy food quickly we decided to start him on adult dog food to see how he would do. Of course he eats it like he did with his other food. I did have to put his heart worm medication in his food which was given to us by his vet. He is in excellent health and he has become a very active runner and after taking walks it seems like he takes me for walks. Hobo is quite a puppy my nieces, my mom and I have fallen in love with him. My dad doesn't like that he chews on everything in sight but we certainly love him. He is a part of our family and he will continue to be with us. Whoever left him on our door can't claim him now he seems to have adopted us so he is with us for quite a while.

So how are things in your neck of the woods dear world ? Anything new with you ? I hope that life is treating you well and that you are getting along well. Yes I am doing great and my family is fine. Things are going good here in Georgia......

For now its time for me to go so I will talk to you soon. Take care my dear world.......

Byyyye for now.

News....

Hello Dear World !!!!

How are you ? On our ride down to my cousin's house my oldest niece and I watched a movie she rented called "Blue Crush" which is a great sun drenched day at the beach kind of movie. I really liked the movie. Here is the link to the movie >>> http://www.blue-crush.com/ . Anyway....Yesterday my family and I went over to my cousins's house for the 4th of July. My dad as well as my nieces and I went into his pool that he has which was wonderful. I actually jumped off the side of the pool into the water. After our visit we made plans to do our fireworks.

Later in the evening when we got home we did the fireworks. One of the fireworks was named "Diamond Cutter". Another one was called "Amazing Fountain". One of my favorites was called "Purple Rain". When it was lit showers of purple flame came out in showers of color which was nice. Despite the fact that it rained for a while we still had fun.

In other news I have some journals that I would like to share with you. One of the journals is titled "Dad's Tomato Garden Journal" here is the link ------------------------- http://journals.aol.com/white6416r/DadsTomatoGardenJournal . Please stop by this wonderful journal and say hello.

My Day Before Tomorrow......

Hello Dear World !!!!!

How are all of you this evening ??? Tomorrow of course is the big day......The 4th of July. My family and I will be going to one of my cousins' houses where there will be a cook out. I just need to see what I'm going to wear.

In other news....I am also happy to report that on July 7th my oldest niece will be turning the big "15" which she is excited about.

Of course it was another day at work for me but tomorrow I will be off for the holiday. It was another sweltering day here in my neck of the woods I think it was like 1000 degrees outside. I don't think it could get any hotter at least I hope not.

Anyway.....earlier this evening my oldest niece, my mom as well as myself did a little shopping. First we went to Walmart where I purchased a small box of fireworks as well as a big box of fireworks for the 4th of July. Then we went over to a store called Linens-N-Things which I haven't been to in a while. Here is the link to the store -------->  www.lnt.com/ . At Linens-N-Things I purchased a plush journal with the Hershey's Milk Chocolate logo on the front cover.

After Linens-N-Things my mom took us to a great fast food drive-in restaurant called "Sonic" here is its link ---------- www.sonicdrivein.com/ . At Sonic I got to have a rather delicious and cold Root Beer Float which was wonderful after a long hot day like today.

Before I say good night you might want to know that outside one of my windows you can hear people in my neighborhood doing all kinds of fireworks. The 4th of July here in my neck of the woods has certainly begun.

After all of the shopping I did today you might say that I spewed out money like a broken ATM machine and I say that a shopping spree is the one and only cure........wouldn't you agree ??

* By the way I wanted to share a journal with you titled "Ponderings of the Smartest Monkey" which you will enjoy reading as I do.* Here is the link --------------------------> http://journals.aol.com/JsDirtwtch/SmartestMonkey

I will talk to you later dear world.....Until then

Have A Wonderful and Safe 4th of July.......Byyyyye

The 4th of July........

Hello Dear World......

How are you ? It was another sweltering day here in Georgia not that I'm complaining. Although it would be nice to have a long, soaking rain at least not until after the holiday. I hope you all had a really nice Sunday.

I would like to share a little note with you. On Tuesday it will be the 4th of July which is usually celebrated with fireworks, parties, parades, balloons or other such events. I thought I would share with the Gettysburg Address. In a historical note it is known that one of the most decisive battles of the Civil War was fought near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania in July 1863. In November of that year, people gathered for the dedication of a cemetery where thousands of men had died. Abraham Lincoln spoke at the dedication for almost ( 2 ) hours. His remarks are known as the Gettysburg Address. I would like to share it with you.

Gettysburg Address

Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent a new nation, conceived in liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal. Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation or any nation so conceived and so dedicated can long endure. We are met on a great battlefield of that war. We have come to dedicate a portion of that field as a final resting place for those who here gave their lives that that nation might live. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this.

But, in a larger sense, we cannot dedicate - we cannot consecrate- we cannot hallow - this ground. The brave men, living and dead, who struggled here have consecrated it far above our poor power to add or detract. The world will little note nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here. It is for us, the living, rather to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced.

It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us - that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to the cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion; that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain; that this nation, under God, shall havea new birth of freedom; and that government of the people, by the people, for the people shall not perish from the earth.

So dear world I hope that you will have a wonderful week and I would like to know how things are in your neck of the woods. Until we talk again.......

Good night and lots of sweet dreams

A Day At The Beach And A Picnic

Hi, I'm back !!!! Today I had another wonderfull day with my family. Earlier today my family and I took a trip to Indian Springs State Park so we could spend some time at the beach which was fun despite the heat. Here is the link if you would like to check out Indian Springs -------> http://gastateparks.org/info/indspr.  Later in the afternoon everyone was told to get out of the water because there was some thunder and lightning. It did start drizzling so we drove around the campground and found a Picnic shelter where we had a picnic with all kinds of goodies including hot dogs, chips, ham roll-ups, pickles, chili, pork-n-beans, grapes and watermelon. It was fun having a picnic with my family. I am happy to report that it stopped raining before we had a picnic. I can say that trips with my family are always fun. Later on after our picnic we went back and saw that the beach area was closed for the day. We headed back home after leaving the park. I can't wait until the next trip with my family. We will be going camping again soon which is always fun.

Upon arriving home we came home to a rather excited puppy and then once more we watched "The Pink Panther" with Steve Martin which is by far one of the most funniest movies I have ever watched. Here is the site to check out ----------> www.sonypictures.com/movies/thepinkpanther/ .I think I might just have to buy a copy of it when I return it to Blockbuster. Have you seen any new movies lately dear world ?

Before I say good night dear world I would like to know what did you do today ? Did you have a fun day like I did ? I hope you had a really nice day and I hope you have a really nice Sunday.

I am also hoping everyone will have a really memorable 4th of July. Take care everyone.

Good night.
