How are you today ? It was another steamy day here in Georgia but it was okay. I have some rather exciting news actually great news......Taylor Hicks is the new American Idol let me repeat that again. Taylor Hicks is the new American Idol. I know I said that I wouldn't watch American Idol again but my other favorite singer Chris Daughtry was also singing on the season finale.

I am so HAPPY that Taylor won he is such a great singer. Chris was quite amazing as well. Next to Taylor and Chris I got to hear my other favorite singer Prince sing in the finale. I didn't know that he was going to be on the show but it was a really wonderful surprise. Besides being a great singer he is a very nice looking guy.
Anyway.....I can't wait to buy Taylor's CD. I wonder if he will ever have a concert here in Georgia I would definitely buy tickets for that. I would like to add that Mandisa was still wonderful she is quite a singer as well.
Can you believe that 63.45 million votes were cast ? I enjoyed hearing Mandisa and Paris sing on the show. Paris Bennett sang beautifully with Al Jarreau and Elliott Yamin sang with Mary J. Blige. Taylor sang with Toni Braxton which really showed Taylor's talents as a singer. Paris did wonderfully as well with Al Jarreau. I don't think that anyone could have performed as well as Paris. That young lady has a lot of talent as a singer.
On a different note a new movie is coming out called Poseidon. The movie includes the actor Josh Lucas which I am thrilled to hear. Josh isn't just a talented actor but he is quite a handsome guy. I can't wait to go see the movie just because he's in it. The other movie The Da Vinci Code is coming out but I would rather go see Poseidon right now and then wait for The Da Vinci Code to come out on DVD. Josh also played in another movie called Sweet Home Alabama with Reese Witherspoon and I have to say it was a great movie. Every movie that Josh is in turns out to be good I can't wait to see his new movie I'm sure it will be good to.

By the way how is the weather in your neck of the woods ? It seems like Summer arrived early in Georgia it keeps getting hot,hot,hot,hot.
If you don't hear from me tomorrow its probably because my feet got stuck to the ground due to the heat.....If you happen to hear that a young lady was found glued to the ground somewhere in Atlanta know that it was me.

Ahhhh Georgia, and I love Stone Mountain, well I did some 30 years ago. Wow has it been that long??? Almost, I think I was 12. NC has been beautiful, light rains at night, beatutiful 75 degree days....until today when it was 88!

Josh certainly is easy on the eyes too. Love his web site. I LOVE Taylor! I'm so happy he won. Chris, Elliott or even Paris or Mandissa should have been in the top 2 instead of Kat. Chris will definitely do well no matter what. I'm thinking they'll all have record co's knocking down their doors - or I hope so. Can't wait to buy Chris' and Elliotts.
The most recently made movie that I ordered on DVD is " Crash ". It is a low budget movie without all the special effects of the mega block buster movies. It won the Academy Award because of the acting and story line. It shows how the human character can be one way on the surface and the emotional turmoil that is repressed underneath. I like all the old Clint Eastwood Western's. Another one is "Vanilla Sky" with Tom Cruise and Carmen Diaz and Penelope Cruz. I think Tom Cruise has never known what it is like to face real depression and thinks he has all the answers ((((((((((scientology))))))))))). Brook Shields is absolutely right about anti-depressants helping people. I learned that the new medications stop the re-uptake of the chemicals that naturally are emitted from the brain that gives a person a sense of tolerance to pain. Thereby allowing the chemicals to stay in the system of the person. I still think he is a good actor and will watch his movies though I think he should learn to shut up and stop his brain from emitting ignorance. lol I haven't caught American Idol since the first one and it is not on a good Channel reception for me. mark
I'm not an American Idol fan, but I did watch it for about 20 mins a week or so ago. I thought the gal (can't remember her name) was better than the guy. But America has spoken and he won. I'm going to pass on seeing the "Poseidon"...I can still see some of the scenes from the original movie in my mind and since I'm going on a cruise this summer...well I guess you can understand why I don't want to go see the movie.
