Hello Dear World......
Today was a rather cold, dark, wet day. It almost felt like it was going to snow which made me think of the poem "Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening" which is a poem that was written by the poet Robert Frost. If you don't mind dear world I thought that I would share the poem with you so I could share a little bit of my day with you.
Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village, though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
Robert Frost 1923
So how was your day ?
Good night dear world.....

Thanks for sharing the poem with us. Yes yesterday was a gloomy day with the wind blowing really hard and tornado warning all over the State of Al.. No injures were reported though some damage was done to some homes. Hope today will be better day although it will be colder. Helen
I've heard that poem before. It's lovely isn't it? And so evocative!
