Hello dear world

Good evening all how are you ? You will be happy to know that the wet yucky weather is gone and it wasn't in the least bit cold outside today. However it was cold in certain parts of the building that I work in so I do wear a sweat shirt on and off throughout the day.

Anywho...I would like to offer my condolences to the family and friends of Heath Ledger who passed away yesterday.

On the same note I thought I would come to you with a little bit of a heavy heart today and I will tell you why. As you know my coworker who lost her husband recently returned to work with my other coworkers and I and I have to say that it was an emotional day today. You might want to know that she is still dealing with the loss of her husband who she was married to for 39 years. She told my coworkers and I that her nerves were still shaky so I do wish that there was something I could have said to make her feel better.

Other people in the building that we work in have been coming up to us and have talked about the loved one(s) they have lost. It is quite sad to hear people talk about how they feel as they deal with the one they've lost. I never know the right thing to say when people talk about how they are affected by loss. I just don't know my dear world.

So my dear world how are things with you ? I don't want to make any of you sad I just wanted to come and share how I was feeling today with you. I do hope you are all well and that the world is treating you quite wonderfully.

That's about all I wanted to say for now. Do take care everyone and do enjoy the rest of your week.

Good-night

Sometimes it is hard to come up with the right words when people are suffering a loss like that.  Just be there for her and offer your support.  Have a happy Thursday. : )

All the tragedy at your work.  Just be there for them and offer you help if they need it.  Basically, be yourself, sweet and happy!

Your coworker is certainly dealing with a great loss.  I know it must be hard to find the right words and maybe there are no right words but, just being there for her.

I was terribly sad to hear about Heath Ledger.  He didn't strike me as the kind who would try to committ suicide and I still don't think he did.  It was incredibly sad to hear that his parents learned of his death on the radio of all things.  My heart goes out to them

Thank you for visiting my journal and I look forward to getting to know you.

I'm glad your weather was much better today.  It is hard to know what to say when someone you know has lost someone.

Morning Monae,  You really are a lovely kind hearted girl. There is not a lot you can say to people who have lost a loved one. sometimes all that is needed is a smile, or a hug, but what is needed above all is to be recognised..often people go out of their way to avoid someone who has lost a loved one..mainly as you say as they don't know what to say...but that is the hardest thing for someone to deal with as they think...wrongly I am sure..that you don't want to speak to them..I know that will never happen with you as you are so loving and kind/  Love Sybil xx

It will take you co worker many months to be able to cope with her loss. Yes when someone loses a loved one it does bring back memories of loved ones you have lost. Hope you day does well today. Hugs, Helen

We all deal with death in our own way. I hope your colleague is able to smile again soon.

You don't have to worry about "saying the right thing"...most times just being there and listening to someone who has had a loss is just what they need...June:)

You seem like a very kind young woman.
Just being there and understanding will help alot.
It sounds like she has a lot of support from her friends and coworkers like you.
I hope she has family nearby as well. That is what is important.

Have a pleasant evening.

It is hard to go back to "normal" after the loss of a loved one.
