Update...

Hello dear world

Good evening. I do have some news for you. A little while ago my mom and I returned from our Citizens Police Academy class which was two classes. Our first class was Investigations and I have to say that our teacher didn't have a clue how to lecture in the class. Our teacher was a male detective who gave us handouts and he went about reading from the handouts and it was just him repeating fact after fact and he just didn't do much of a job at being a teacher. I don't think that he has been in a classroom in quite a while.

The other part of our class was our C.S.I. class which was taught by a female Investigator who did wonderfullly. She took us to a part of the building in the Police Headquarters where we learned how to collect fingerprints on different objects and we also learned how to collect our own fingerprints on different objects. I have to say that our C.S.I. class was well worth it. My mom and I collected our fingerprints on fingerprint paper which we brought home with us.

I have to tell you my dear world that the fingerprint powder is the most terrible stuff in the world. The fingerprint powder gets all over you and its hard to wipe off. The fingerprint powder is a huge mess when your working with it. I can see now why investigators wear gloves to a crime scene. I don't see how the women on the hit show C.S.I. Miami and the rest of the show stay so clean when they work with the fingerprint powder that stuff is just oh my goodness. I have washed my hands like a thousand times since I got home and it still seems to look like its on my hands. I don't know what it is my dear world but I think that being an Investigator is a tough job when you have to collect fingerprints at a crime scene. I have to admit that when I got home I watched an old episode of C.S.I. on television.

Anywho......we didn't get a chance to work with any blood which I have to say I'm happy about. Just learning how to collect fingerprints was a job in itself. I just wanted to share that with you. Our next class will be next Thursday where we will learn about SWAT which I'm sure will be something.

So how was your night my dear world ? I learned quite a bit tonight but it was quite interesting. What did you do tonight ?? I hope you had a really nice evening. Of course tomorrow I have to get back to work after my being off today so I will say good night for now.

...I'm sure your going to get tired of me telling you about the things I do in my class and what I learn. One of these days I'll have to find a guy that I am interested in and perhaps...start dating....what a thought huh ????

Good night dear world......Sweet Dreams

I'm never tired of hearing about anything you write about. Keep on writing about whatever you want. I think you are a sweetie.
I have a friend who is a fingerprint specialist. It really took a lot of training and testing. You're right...it is NOT an easy thing to obtain prints.
One more thing...if you DO start dating...I want to hear every detail!! LOL!
Hugs to you,

I disagree with Phil.  I think you aren't suited to be a CSI, especially if you don't want to be around blood.  I hope you were able to get that powder off of ya.  Have a happy tomorrow or today, or both. : )

Interesting, thanks for sharing, Monae

This sounds interesting. I am sure the TV shows doesn't use the real thing for finger printing. Helen

I think your CPA classes are truly interesting to read about. Did you try using baby oil or lotion to get rid of the fingerprint "dust"? How about rubbing alcohol?

If you do meet a fellow, take him along to the classes. You don't want to hook up with a guy that's not interested in your interests, too.

I found this interesting Monae.   And not at all boring,
I'm so glad you didn't have to get involved with the blood!
Perhaps that officer had to stand in for another one ?  And that's why he had to read it all from the handouts.  Just a thought.

Have a great weekend
Hugs

I love you telling us what you do in your classes. The only thing I would say is the reason why the girls in CSI, don't get covered in finger print dust is because it IS, just a TV show....... You nailed it in one!
