President's Day, Work And A Mystery.....

Hello dear world

Good evening how is everyone ?? Anywho....as some of you might not know its President's Day of course I had to work since I work at a courthouse and it was a busy busy busy day. You might also want to know that today there was a bomb threat at my work but we did NOT have to evacuate the building since it was over in another part of the building. Apparently NO bomb was found even though there was a search nothing turned up thank goodness. You will be happy to know that everyone is safe and sound.

I did want to thank all of you for your responses to the Gun Control issue I addressed previously. I really do have a lot to think about on that issue still but a lot of you helped me to sort some of my thoughts out.

Anywho...earlier today on my lunch break two of my female coworkers and I went to a thrift store and yes I picked upthe movie called "Circle Of Friends" with Chris O'Donnell who I like as an actor. I have seen it before but I wanted to buy it so I could watch it again. I also picked up some books while I was there which as you all know I like to read quite a bit.

Yesterday I was home just hanging out in my bedroom since it was a rather windy and dark day. Later on in the evening the sky did open up and it rained for quite a while. I didn't have to go out anywhere so I just stayed home and enjoyed the rain.

In other news my dear world there was a headline in the newspaper a while back which read "Who is the 'piano man' ?" and I wanted to share the story with you because I was wondering if any of you had any more information on the story. Here is the story :

British newspapers reported that the man was found April 7 or 8 on the Isle of Sheppey, a small quiet island and sailing resort near the mouth of the River Thames. He is a tall and fair-haired man in his 20's or 30's and to have judged from his clothing on the day he was found he had emerged from the sea. The man simply appeared, dripping wet in a black dinner suit, white shirt and necktie. Curiously, all the designer labels from his clothes had been ripped out.

Mr. X was taken to a local hospital. He was unable to speak or at any rate declined. Interpreters were called in to try different languages but elicited no response. He cringed when people tried to approach. After a time, his caregivers handed him a piece of paper and a pencil hoping he might write something. Instead he drew a detailed picture of a grand piano.

Social worker Michael Camp led him to the piano in the hospital chapel. There, the man relaxed for the first time. His demeanor became calm. Then he began to play and play. The man cries sometimes and smiles now and then but he never speaks. He had written pieces of music, which he holds close to his body and will not let anyone see.

Television viewers and newspaper readers phoned in their suggestions. One tip had seemed promising but the tip proved wrong. In the meantime, hospital staff members have denied the mystery man access to the piano, at least for the moment, in an effort to make him speak.

If any of you have any information to this story please do let me know because I haven't seen any more details about this story in the newspaper thank you. I just wanted to know if anyone had any information about the guy because I am a fan of mysteries and I was curious about this story and who the man was.

So my dear world last but not least how was your day ? I hope that things are good in your neck of the woods ? I am doing well and chugging along. That's about it for now. I'll talk to you again soon.

Bye

No day off? I think the court in Pa are all closed on Presidents. I now the state offices are and we have no postal delivery.
That story of the man in England sounds strange or very odd to me. If it was more than a joke or spoof I think we all would have heard about it.
I believe there a site on line where you can check out a story of this nature to see if there is any truth to it. I can't recall the name or address for the site but I am sure some others mak know and will leave you the information.

Maybe the man is autistic? That could have been why he wasn't speaking but could draw what he wanted and was much calmer when he was brought to the piano and could play.

Take care,
Michelle

That guy sounds like he just may be James Bond with amnesia.  Who knows, maybe he is the guy that gave the bomb threat.  Have a good Tuesday Monae.

The Piano Man was a news item in 2005. He turned out to be German and was flown back to Bavaria in August of that year, read more here http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/kent/4172662.stm.
