Notes For Thursday....

Hello dear world

Good evening how is everyone ?? I hope you are all well. First I have to report that the weather in my neck of the woods was quite warm and yes it is Springtime in Georgia and the pollen is here.

Anywho....I have to tell you that "Jewels Of The Sun" by Nora Roberts was a very good book. I have to break my rule and tell you about it. At the end Jude Murray and Aidan Gallagher ended up together. Aidan proposed to Jude and she said yes to marrying him. She also decided to stay in Ireland with Aidan. I really did like the book and I must say that Nora is a very talented writer. I highly recommend it for reading.

In other news...earlier today on my lunch break with my coworkers I went to the store and I found a book that looked rather interesting. The name of the book is "DARK ROOM" by the writer Andrea Kane. I just started reading and so far it has turned out to be worth reading.

On a different note earlier tonight my mom and I went to our class which was held at a school called Jonesboro High School which was a really great class. Our class covered the topic of "Active Shooter" Once the school was closed for the evening we got to participate in a demonstration of exactly how police officers, the school and staff would handle what happens if an intruder gets into a school. My classmates and I at different times got to go around and act like police officers with real guns and search for an intruder in the school. I got to be a police officer with some of my classmates while my other classmates got to be hostages in one of the classrooms. I was a little nervous but I actually got into the situation. Unfortunately I didn't get to shoot the gun that I had which was loaded with a liquid aerosol instead of live ammunition. Later on I got to be a hostage with my mom in one of the classrooms and it was rather intense but fun at the same time. The "Active Shooter" class was a learning experience.

By the way on the 3rd of April I will be graduating from my class and there will be a ceremony and a cookout afterward which I am sure will be fun. I have learned a great deal in my class and it has really been interesting to be in the class. We will each be getting a call and we will get a chance to ride along with police officers while they are working which I am excited about.

That's all of my news. How was your day my dear world ?? I do hope that you all got to enjoy your Thursday. By the way is it Springtime in your neck of the woods ? I just wanted to come by and share my day with you.

That's about all for now. I'll talk to you again soon. Its pretty late here in Georgia so I will say good-night and take care.

Bye

That class sounded really interesting. Yep, the pollen is here also. It's gonna get worse when the pine trees start shedding theirs. It won't be long until you and your family will be hitting the camping trail since it is warming up so nicely. Hugs, Helen

It is good that you and your Mom have so enjoyed your classes with the police.  After you have graduated can you do anything to help the police?  over here we have community policemen who patrol the streets locally and are not trained quite as highly as the "main" police but are good at looking out for trouble ahead and are actually to be seen on the streets.  Have a good day  Love Sybil xx
