A Crazy Day At Work...

Hello dear world

How is everyone ?? I had to come by and share my day with you. Earlier this morning at 10:30a.m at my work which is the H.R. Banke Justice Center in Jonesboro, Georgia started with a lot of excitement. Every kind of security and even the bomb squad had to come to my work today because of a bomb threat which was called in from someone who is still unknown. My coworkers and I were upstairs on the 2nd floor of the building when we heard that people were being told to evacuate the building. A police officer who was on the same floor as us told us that we didn't have to leave if we didn't want to.

A little while later we went up to the 4th floor to do some work when one of my coworkers were told that we had to evacuate the building due to the bomb threat. Before we left the building we went to the 3rd floor so me and one of my other female coworkers could get our purses out of our lockers. We then headed out of the building where we met our supervisor who told us that we could go to lunch. However there were police cars and everything out front so those who parked out front who could NOT leave the building. We were told by security before we left that we couldn't come back into the building until 12:00 in the afternoon. I and two of my female coworkers decided that we would go to Walmart to spend a little time since we couldn't go back to work. We had a lot of fun walking around Walmart. We spent quite a bit of time at Walmart looking around and I actually purchased a few things including some really nice Valentine cards, some books for me to read, some stickers for my youngest niece and I also bought a big bag of chips and some dip for the house. I also purchased a movie that I had wanted to see and before we left I also purchased me some lunch on the way out.

Once we got back to work we were able to re-enter the building. We were still on our lunch break so we sat around and we then heard around 1:30 in the afternoon that we wouldn't be able to do anything until 3:30 in the afternoon so we were informed that we would be able to leave work for the day. We were told at 2:30 we could leave but first we had to check out some things in the hallway. The people who had parked out front were told that they could not leave the building which they weren't happy about. On our way out we saw that police cars were still out front preventing anyone from entering the courthouse parking lot or leaving the parking lot. But those of us who parked out back at the employee entrance were told we could leave.

Anywho...once I got home it started getting dark and that was when the power went out at our house. A little while later the power came back on and my dad arrived with some dinner. Since my dad works in law enforcement he informed my family and I that there was a yellow powdery substance found underneath a car out in the front parking lot. The substance was later found to be cereal crushed up in its box tied with wire. Apparently someone was trying to make it look like a bomb which was examined by the bomb squad.

Let me just tell you my dear world it was quite a day for me at work. So my dear world how were things in your part of the world ? I do hope that you were able to have some fun in your day. Of course I will be off of work for the weekend.

Well that's about it for now. I'll talk to you again later. Byyye !!!!

Oh no, another bomb threat.  Well you surpassed me now.  I guess working at a courthouse there are many people with grudges.  I hope your power is back on and stays that way.  Have a great weekend. : )
