Monday's Update...

Hello everyone

Good evening everyone !!!!!! How is everyone today ? I do hope that you are all well. It was the start to another busy week for me at work. I finished reading "Driftwood Summer" last night which was quite good. It did rain a little while yesterday but not much.

Anywho...I started reading the book "the girl who stopped swimming" by the writer Joshilyn Jackson. Here is her link ----> http://www.joshilynjackson.com/ . In the beginning of the story a girl who apparently is dead and has been drowned appears to a woman named Laurel Gray Hawthorne in her bedroom. Laurel and her husband get the girl out of the pool. It turns out that the girl's name is Molly Dufresne. The 911 service was called out and everyone is wondering what happened to the girl. So far its a pretty good book. I am liking the story so far.

I came upon a very wonderful place to visit called "Shipslog" I do hope you go over and check it out. I am adding the link so you can go over and check out someone that I am getting to know -----> http://shipslog-jack.blogspot.com/

So how was your day dear world ? Did you have to work today ? I hope all is well in your neck of the woods. I do hope you all have a great week ahead. That's all for now.

Take care

A Nice Saturday....

Hello everyone

Good evening everyone how is everyone today ? I hope you are all well. It was a nice Saturday in my neck of the woods. Earlier today my family and I and my niece's went to Chick-Fil-A to eat. Its always nice to go there because the food is good and we enjoy it a lot. I do love their waffle fries.

Anywho....my family and I and my niece's went over Barnes & Noble. Before I went there I went over to Great Clips to get some more of my hair cut a little bit shorter. I also got the back part of my hair shaved up and I like it.

I did go into the bookstore and I bought a hardback book of Pokemon for my youngest niece Megan which she really really wanted. I also picked up some books titled :

The Blue Last by Martha Grimes
The Girl Who Stopped Swimming by Joshilyn Jackson

One of Martha Grimes' book was mentioned in the last book I read which was "Dark Of The Moon". The book which was mentioned I could not find so I picked up one of her books that I liked. I have NEVER read any of Martha's books and I wanted to get one of her books.

So how was your day my dear world ? How are things in your neck of the woods ? I hope that you all got to enjoy your Saturday as I did. I also hope that you enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Do take care everyone !!!!!!!!!!

A Friday Update.....

Hello everyone

Good evening everyone. How is everyone today ? I hope you are all well. Ted Kennedy passed away recently due to illness. I give my condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Kennedy. Its sad to lose a family member.

In other news it has been raining buckets in my neck of the woods. It rained hard today and yesterday. The lightning flashed and the thunder popped like fireworks going off. We had a ton of rain and it kept coming and coming. It isn't raining at the moment however.

Anywho....I finished reading "Dark Of The Moon" and I am now reading the book "Driftwood Summer" by the writer Patti Callahan Henry. It is a pretty good book and I like it. It is the story of sisters named Riley, Maisy and Adalee who reunite to celebrate their mother's birthday and to try to save their family bookstore. I just started reading it and I find that it is a great book to read. I will have to tell you more about it later.

My coworker's and I were busy at work these last couple of days. We have worked and worked and worked and worked and worked. How have you been my dear world ? How are things in your part of the world ? I do hope that all is well.

Its Friday of course and its officially the start to the weekend do you have any plans ??? I hope you all get to enjoy the weekend and perhaps to sleep in for a while.

Take care everyone

Update For Tuesday....

Hello everyone

Good evening all !!!! How is everyone today ? It was a very very busy day at work for me it has been all week. Of course the weather in Georgia has been pretty warm these days.

Anywho...a few minutes ago my auntie Boobie whose real name is Marie and my uncle Tony came over with my aunt Pat to eat. We had a shrimp loaf sandwich, an oyster loaf sandwich, salad and some crawfish and an apple pie for our meal. I had a shrimp sandwich some crawfish but I didn't have any of the pie. My cousin Peter also ate with us and it was nice having him at our house. My cousin Peter will be leaving tomorrow from Delta Airlines and heading back home. We will all miss him and I hope he comes back soon. My dad will be taking him to the airport tomorrow.

I am still reading the book "Dark Of The Moon" by John Sanford which has been a very good and interesting book. I like how the story keeps you reading and you continue to wonder what will happen in the story. I will have to read more of his books.

So how are things in your neck of the woods ? I do hope all is well with you. I am doing well and so is my family. I hope all of you are having a good week. I'll talk to you all again soon.

Take care

News For Sunday....

Hello everyone

Good evening to all of you !!!!!!! How is everyone today ? I had a really nice Sunday. Earlier today my folks and I and my niece's and my cousin Peter went to a place called Southlake Mall. I didn't buy anything and neither did my cousin Peter. My oldest niece bought some clothes and some shoes. I just did some window shopping.

Anywho...after the mall we went over to Blockbuster and we got some movies. We finished watching a movie called "Fragments" with Dakota Fanning and my mom and I agreed that it wasn't all that good. Dakota's character was portrayed in a really really really weird way. I didn't really like the movie and neither did my mom. My dad really didn't like it either. I felt that it kept switching back to different parts of the movie too many times which made it confusing. The ending just was left way too confusing and I think that the movie could have been better. I'll have to tell you about the other movies after I see them.

In the book "Dark Of The Moon" by John Sanford it is a about some murder's which occur. In the story Virgil Flowers is a guy who works for the BCA which is the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. He is investigating the murder of a husband and wife. So far I am really getting into the book.

So how was your Sunday ? I hope you are all enjoying your weekend. My folks went over to my auntie Boobie's house a few minutes ago and I am home just relaxing. So how are things in your neck of the woods ? I hope all is well where you are.

Take care everyone

Saturday's News....

Hello everyone

Good evening everyone !!!!!!!!! How are all of you today ? I do hope that all is well in your neck of the woods. I am doing well today. I did finish reading "Inkheart" finally it was a very long book but it was a good one.

Anywho....yesterday my folks and I and my niece's went over to my auntie Boobie's house to visit with my cousin Peter and Pat. My cousin Peter is staying until Wednesday. Everyone really really liked my new haircut. They said that it is very becoming on me. I do want to keep it short for a while I am really getting into my new haircut. I want something different for a while.

Today my folks and I and my niece's took my cousin Peter out to eat at "Truett's Chick-Fil-A" which has some really good food there. They have this train car that goes around the restaurant and it is a nice one. There were a lot of people there eating. My cousin Peter paid our meal for us which was nice.

I have started reading "Dark Of The Moon" by the writer John Sanford. However his real name is John Roswell Camp. It is a pretty interesting book. In the story an old man has been doused with gasoline, put in a trash bag and set on fire. It is a murder mystery and it is a pretty good story and I really like the book so far. Apparently his website is not working sorry.

So how are all of you today ? I hope you are enjoying your Saturday ? I also hope that you enjoy the rest of your weekend. The weather here is in the high 80's which is warm but nice. Do enjoy your weekend everyone and do take care.

I shall return !!!!!!!!

Wednesday's News....

Hello everyone

Good evening everyone !!!! How is everyone today ? I do hope that you are all well. Today was another day at work for me and you don't want to know about it. It did rain today and then it was hot.

Anywho....My dad has a sister Pat who is one of my aunt's flew in today and she came over to the house and she left a few minutes ago with my other aunt Marie and my uncle Tony. My mom fixed some black eyed peas, some roast, some corn meal muffins from scratch, some macaroni and cheese, some white rice and of course some chitterlings for my cousin Peter who also flew in today. His flight got in at 6:00pm at the airport and my dad went and picked him up from the airport. He is still here and he will be staying with us until he goes back home. He is the world's funniest guy in the entire world and he keeps you laughing. He too liked my haircut and he said that he thought it was a perfect cut for me. I am glad he likes it. My uncle Tony and my aunt Marie also liked my haircut. My aunt Marie came a little bit later after my uncle Tony and she brought a woman with her who wasn't that nice of a person.

It is nice to have relatives visiting with us at the house and we are enjoying their visit. It is nice to see my cousin Peter who we haven't seen in a while.

So my dear world how are things in your neck of the woods ? How was your Wednesday ? I do hope that you got to have a nice day and I hope that all is well in your neck of the woods. Tomorrow I do have to go back to work yet again and it will be another busy busy busy one. I can't wait until Friday since I will be off for the weekend. I will talk to you all again later.

Take care

I am loving my hair being short and it is wonderful. I got a lot of compliments on my hair which was quite nice. Its always nice to hear that you look cute and its wonderful to hear that you look nice with a new hair do. Anywho it was a day full of compliments and nice people making me smile today.

Anywho...I am still in the middle of reading "Inkheart" by Cornelia Funke. It is a really incredible book and I am having fun reading it. I do think that is has different parts than it did from the movie and I think that Cornelia did a wonderful job on the book.

Hello everyone

Good evening all !!!!!!! I hope you are all well. I would like to say that it was nice seeing a lot of you on Twitter it is a fun experience.

Anywho...it has been a warm day in Georgia and I had a good day today. Earlier today my family and I went to eat at Chick-Fil-A which was good. After eating we went to Barnes and Noble where I bought some books including :

South of Broad by Pat Conroy
Driftwood Summer by Patti Callahan Henry
Mercury in Retrograde by Paula Froelich

I also got a really cute bookmark. Going to Barnes and Noble is always fun. While we were there I went over to Great Clips and I had my hair cut. I am loving my hair cut which is really really short and I think that the hair stylist did a wonderful wonderful job on my hair. I just love the look of it and I am enjoying the shortness of it.

We also went to JCPenney where I got some cute earrings. We also went to JOAnn's where I bought my niece's some stickers and I bought myself some stickers that I liked.

So how has your day been my dear world ? Did you have a really nice Saturday ? I do hope that you are enjoying your weekend as I am. How are things in your neck of the woods ? I am hoping that you will also have a really nice Sunday and do have a nice one this weekend.

Update.....

Hello everyone

Good evening all !!!!!!!! How is everyone today ??? I hope you are all well. It was a very warm day in Atlanta, Georgia today. I did have to work today and I had a busy busy busy day.

Anywho...I did finish reading "Nineteen Minutes" by Jodi Picoult and it was a very very good book. I highly highly highly highly recommend this book to you all. It turns out that the young lady in the book was involved in the shooting and Peter was also convicted of his crime...sorry for spoiling the ending. Stories such as this one which are of school shooting's are tragic and sad. I learned a lot from the book and I was surprised by my reactions to the book. Nineteen Minutes was well worth reading.

I did go to the Goodwill store with one of my coworker's a few days ago and I found the book "Inkheart" by the writer Cornelia Funke and I bought it. I was wondering if the book was different from the movie which is why I bought it. I am still reading it and so far it is different from the movie itself. There is a young girl in the book named Meggie and her father is Mo ( Mortimer Folchart ). Her father is a bookbinder and there is another guy in the book named Dustfinger and a bad guy who is named Capricorn.

I did go to a Sports Bar with one of my coworker's and we ordered some hamburgers from the place and it turns out that the hamburger I ordered tasted overcooked and the fries didn't taste like they had been cooked. It was our first time going there to get something to eat on our lunchbreak. We took our burger's back to work to eat. My coworker liked her burger but I did NOT.

How was your day my dear world ? How are things in your neck of the woods ? I hope you all enjoyed your Thursday. Of course tomorrow is another day at work for me. Tomorrow the movie "The Time Traveler's Wife" is coming out at theater's. Is anyone going to see it ? If you are let me know what you thought of it because I do want to see it.

That's all for now. I'll talk to you all soon.

Sunday's Ramblings....

Hello everyone

Good evening all !!!! Well it was a nice Sunday at the house. I helped around the house and such. Anywho...did everyone enjoy their Sunday ? I hope all is well in your neck of the woods.

I would like to share the fact that a dear lady by the name of Sybil has returned and I would like if you would drop over and welcome her back. Here is her link ----> http://sybil-dayintheifeofsybs.blogspot.com/ . Do go over and say hello to her. Thank you.

I did watch - 60 Minutes - earlier this evening and I found that its rather interesting. They talked about "Swimming With Sharks" which I have to say was worth watching. However I can't say that I would want to swim with a shark let alone a Great White Shark. I don't know how I would feel thinking getting into the water with a shark I think that would be way too hard for me. I don't go that far out into the ocean to even consider swimming with a shark. They also had Andy Rooney with a commentary on his Kitchen Tools which was rather interesting. I would like to see him talk about the books he's read or the books he would recommend.

In other news I am in the middle of reading "Nineteen Minutes" by Jodi Picoult. I am finding that the young man in the book Peter Houghton is not a very nice person. He went to his high school and went on a rampage. In the story he doesn't seem to have any kind of remorse for what he did and who he hurt. I find it hard to have any compassion for him at this point. I will have to tell you how I think about the book as I continue reading it.

I am waiting to see the movie "The Time Traveler's Wife". I read the book and I would like to see the movie. From the previews it looks like a really great movie.

Of course tomorrow starts another week at work for me. I do hope that everyone has a nice week ahead. I guess a lot of people know that school starts tomorrow for our kids. My niece's start school tomorrow as well. I hope that your kids have a good start to their school year ahead and I hope that they are able to enjoy their fresh start to their schooling.

That's all for now. I shall return.

Saturday Stuff.....

Hello everyone

Its a little after 1:00 in the morning here in Georgia and I thought I would come by and share some of my day with you. So how is everyone today ? I hope you are all well.

Anywho....today was a very very hot day in Atlanta, Georgia. Every single motorcycle and person who rides a motorcycle are in my neck of the woods for the motorcycle roundup at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. You can hear them outside the window. They have been riding morning , noon and night. I wonder when they find the time to sleep.

In other news today my folks and I and my niece's went over to Lowe's today. I ended buying a small sized Moose statue on sale. The moose has been my favorite animal ever since I saw the show "Northern Exposure". The show was about a guy named Dr. Joel Fleischman who graduates from Columbia University medical school. He is assigned to work in the tiny Alaskan town of Cicely to pay for his education. There was a moose on the beginning of the show when the opening credits for the show came on. I fell in love with the moose at that time and I continue to like the moose. It looks like a beautiful animal to me. I have never seen a real one up close and personal though I would like to.

After Lowe's we went to Home Depot since Lowe's didn't sell a particular paint that my folks needed. After Home Depot we went to Blockbuster video where I purchased some movie's and rented some others. I did buy the movie "Inkheart" with Brendan Fraser who is one of my favorite of actor's. I liked the part where Brendan's character goes into an old bookstore. I would like the visit the place in the movie it looked like a wonderful place to go. The movie was a little long but I still liked it. I wish they could have talked about books more in the movie. Here is the link for "Inkheart" ------> http://www.inkheartmovie.com/ .

That's all of my news. So how was your Saturday ? I do hope that you had a really nice day. I also hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend. I'll talk to you again later.

Bye for now

Some Things To Talk About

Hello everyone

Good evening all !!!!!!! How is everyone today ? I hope you are all well. I would like to bring up a few things that I wanted to share from the news.

Anywho...Former President Bill Clinton brought home two U.S. journalists out of North Korea today following talks with leader Kim Jong Il. Mr. Clinton brought home Euna Lee and Laura Ling. I am happy to hear that they are back with their family, friends and loved ones.

In other news Atlanta Police have arrested a suspect in the shooting death of boxer Vernon Forrest. Damario Ware, 20 has been charged with murder, aggravated assault, and armed robbery. He turned himself into the Fulton County District Attorney's Office. Forrest lived in Atlanta and was a member of the 1992 Olympic team. He later won welterweight and junior middleweight titles. I would like to offer my condolences to Vernon's family and loved ones during this tragic time.

I also wanted to share that a gunman walked into a health club and started shooting. It happened in Pittsburgh on Tuesday night. He left five people dead including himself and injuring at least 10 others police and a hospital spokesman said. UPMC Mercy Hospital said that five critically injured injured women were taken there. Allegheny General Hospital said it had two women in fair condition with gunshot wounds. St. Clair Hospital said one of the victims of the shooting died there. Spokesman Rich Sieber said the woman was shot in the chest. He said two other victims were taken to the hospital. My heart goes out to those who were killed and injured.

That's all of the news for now. I shall be back tomorrow. Do take care everyone.

A Wonderful Wonderful Trip....

Hello everyone

Good evening everyone. How is everyone doing ?? I hope you are all well.

Anywho....I'm home !!!!!!!! My folks and I and my niece's made it to Stone Mountain Park and we stayed at campsite #59. We went and had dinner at Red Lobster. I ordered some coconut shrimp which I didn't like. I did have some other things in my meal which I liked. It rained the first night we got there but we were able to put up the pop up before it rained.

On Saturday we went to the park and we took a ride on the Skylift which was really fun. The skylift goes 1,683 feet above sea level. The scary part was when we first started going up the mountain. I was at the top of the mountain which was nice. After the Skylift we went to see the movie "Journey To The Center Of The Earth" inside the park. The movie was in 4-D. We got wet in the movie and it was like we were actually in the movie.

After the movie was over we took a ride on the rain inside the park which wasn't all that fun. After the train we went back to camp to have lunch. Later in the afternoon we went back to Stone Mountain Park and we watched the "Journey To The Center Of The Earth" in 4-D for the second time. The movie was really really fun.

After the movie we went and took a ride on the "Ride The Duck" which is a boat ride. It did rain on the boat as we got in the water. The captain was really fun and really nice. He played music on the boat and he told us some really funny jokes. It did stop raining eventually. He let all the young kids including my 8-year-old niece Megan drive the boat. It was run riding on the boat.

Later in the evening we found a spot near the Glass Blowing Shop in which to see the Laser show at Stone Mountain Park. We didn't stay long for the laser show. We decided to go and get something to eat. We stopped off at Wendy's at eat there before it closed. We finally got back to camp and we took our shower's at the campground.

I did buy some souvenirs for my coworker's. On Sunday we started packing up to leave the camground and we left a little after 12:00pm. We got on the road and we stopped off at a place called "Pizza Cafe" which has the best pizza in town. It did rain quite a bit once we got home. We got home a little late Sunday night.

We plan to go back to Stone Mountain Park again soon. We all had fun and I can't wait to go back. There is a lot to see and do there and it was fun to go camping again .

I did finish reading "Love in Bloom" and I can say that it was a really great book and I enjoyed it. I read the book "Return To Sullivans Island" by Dorothea Benton Frank and it is a book I highly recommend reading.

So how was your weekend my dear world ?? Did you do any traveling ? I hope you all enjoyed your weekend as I did. I'll talk to you again soon.

Take care.
