Update....

Hello everyone

Good evening all !!!!!!! How is everyone today ? I hope you are all well. Today started another week at work for me. It was a busy day but I got my work done.

I will NOT be home this Friday or this weekend because my family and I will be going camping this weekend so do NOT be alarmed if you don't hear from me this weekend. I shall return.

Anywho....my niece's are sleeping over my cousin Aaron's house tonight so I am home and sharing my day with you. My aunt Antoinette did send me a book of course. The book is titled "The Quiet Game" by the writer Greg Iles. I have NEVER read any of his books yet this one will be my first.

I am still working on the book "The Traveler's Wife" which is a very interesting book. I have to say that I am very much into books but there is still a lot that I need to get to which might take me a while.

So how are you my dear world ? I do hope that all is well in your neck of the woods. It was something of a warm day in Atlanta, Georgia. How was your Monday ?

My Sunday....

Hello everyone

Good afternoon everyone !!! I hope you are all having a nice Sunday. Early this morning my folks and I and my nieces went to church at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church here is the link ----> http://www.stphilipbenizi.org/ . Today there was a priest there helping with the mass to help celebrate the Feast of Santa Ana. He is visiting from Honduras. Thirteen members from my parish visited Santa Ana Parish in Honduras from June 10-17 in 2002.

Anywho...after church my dad wanted to go to a hotel for a Sunday brunch they were having. We ate there but some of the food wasn't all that great. I only had the breakfast but my folks and my niece Jeanette didn't like the food all that much. I did like their scrambled eggs but the bacon wasn't all that cooked. They had a bread pudding to eat but I didn't like it all that much. I did like the chocolate cake they had.

After eating we drove to Publix grocery store to get my niece Jeanette a Birthday cake since she didn't have one on her birthday. Publix didn't have one she liked so we ended up going to Dairy Queen where she went in to the place and picked out a cake she wanted. She ended up getting an ice cream cake she liked. I hope that she enjoys her cake when she eats it. She was asking for a cake and asking for a cake and asking for a cake and so she finally got it.

You might want to know that the movie "The Time Travelers Wife" which I am reading at the moment is soon going to hit theater's. I can't wait to see it. The book is really really great. I think that it is quite a great story and I hope the movie will be just as great as the book is. The movie comes out August 14th.

My dad officially retired but I have to go back to work tomorrow. I do hope that everyone has a great week ahead. I will talk to you again later.

Take care everyone

A Really Nice Saturday....

Hello everyone

Good evening everyone. How is everyone today ? I hope all is well in your neck of the woods. I wanted to come by and tell you about my day. My 18-year-old niece Jeanette and I and my folks went shopping today. My other niece Megan had to go to a birthday party for one of her friends so we dropped her off.

Anywho....my niece Jeanette and I and my folks went to JCPenney to look around. I ended up getting 3 shirts one with the Beatles on it from Abbey Road. I also got some cute earrings and a necklace that I liked.

After JCPenney we went to Michael's where I bought some stickers I wanted. I also got some stickers for myself that I liked. After Michael's we went to eat at Longhorn Steakhouse. I got the Caesar salad and the ribeye of course. I also got some mashed potatoes with my ribeye. I also got a drink that I like called a Midori Sour which was really good.

In other news I started reading "The Time Traveler's Wife" by Audrey Niffenegger. In the story there is a guy named Henry DeTamble and he involuntarily travels through time. He finds a woman named Clare Abshire and they fall in love. Clare first sees Henry when she was six years old.

In reading the book I think that I would like to meet a time traveler. I would like to ask him or her what life is like as a time traveler. I would also ask him or her if he or she has seen different parts of the world.

That's it of my news how are things in your part of the world ? I do hope that you all had a wonderful Saturday as I did. I also hope that you all get to enjoy your Sunday tomorrow. I will talk to you all again later.

Take care everyone

Thoughts.....

Hello everyone

Good evening all !!! I am going to step away from my usual programming of happiness and I need to get some thoughts out of my head for the moment. Please forgive me if I seem a little bit....sad.

Anywho...where to start ???? Well at the moment I have to tell you that I have about a dozen or so books that I haven't read yet. I just bought some from Barnes & Noble and I had some already that I hadn't read yet.

The thing is I have so many books that I want to read and so many I want to get to. The thing is there just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day to get to them. I keep saying that I will get to them but I just can't seem to get to the books I want to read. I'm just about done with "Moscow Rules" which took me practically forever and a day to read. The books I want to read are pretty lengthy and just starting another one just makes it feel like I won't be able to get to the rest that I have.

If I start another one there will be twenty or thirty more of them that I won't be able to get to. Have you ever felt like this ?? I feel like I just can't get to the things I want to get to. My bedroom could use a little cleaning and there are a few things I should do but there just isn't enough hours in the day.

I did buy the book titled "Angela's Ashes" which I have been wanting to read but I also want to read some of my books I got from Barnes & Noble but then I also want to get to my Harry Potter book but how do I choose ? There is just so much I want to read at one time but I just can't do it because that would be too hard for me.

Don't get me wrong I do like to read and I know that I should get around to a few other things....my bedroom and some other work I need to do but I never seem to get around to what I need to do and what I would like to do.

I'm NOT good at getting things done I hate to say but its true. Does anyone else feel the way I do ???

Good-night all and I'm sorry for going on and on I just needed to get my thoughts out. I'll talk to you again later.

Take care everyone

A Wonderful Day...And Some Shopping

Hello everyone

Good evening all !!!!!! How was your Saturday ? I hope you all had as wonderful a day as I did. My folks and I and my two niece's just returned from being out all day. Our day began early this morning at a restaurant called "Maggiano's Little Italy" here is the link to the restaurant --->
http://www.maggianos.com/ . The breakfast buffet they had was wonderful and delicious. They had bacon, scrambled eggs, croissants, french toast with bananas, watermelon, cantaloupe and grapes which was quite good. The reason we were at the restaurant was because there was an MS Conference being held there. My mom happens to have MS which is Multiple Sclerosis which is an autoimmune disease. The restaurant is located by Perimeter Mall which we did go to after the conference. Here is a link ----> http://www.nationalmssociety.org/index.aspx

Anwho....later after the mall my folks and I and my niece's went to a store called "Shoe Carnival" where I ended up buying my youngest niece Megan and I each a pair of tennis shoes. I bought a pair of Asics grey tennis shoes which I really really like. My niece Megan got a pair of black tennis shoes which fit her good. After the shoe store we ended up going to Belk's where I did some looking around. I didn't buying anything in Belk's but it was fun.

After Belk's we then went to my favorite favorite favorite bookstore "Barnes & Noble". I ended up buying three different books titled "The Secret Diaries of Charlotte Bronte" by Syrie James, "The Secret of Lost Things" by Sheridan Hay" and of course I bought the J.K. Rowling book "Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows". I used my Barnes & Noble card to get a discount on my books. I always like going to Barnes & Noble its always fun going there and getting books that I have NEVER read before. Here is a link to the bookstore ---> http://www.barnesandnoble.com/

After the bookstore we went for dinner at "La Parrilla" Mexican restaurant. The food is always good there. I ended up having the half order of the Nacho's with shredded chicken, melted cheese dip and beans which was quite good. I ordered a strawberry Mojito which was on the special but it had a little bit of a bitter taste so I gave it to my mom which she drank. I did have her frozen Margarita which was good.

After dinner we stopped off at Walmart where my dad bought my niece Megan a green chair that she liked. I also bought her some stickers she wanted. Shopping wore me out today and its fun to get home to rest for a while. It was quite a day.

So how was your day my dear world ? I hope all is well in your neck of the woods. Did you do any shopping today ? Do enjoy your Sunday tomorrow. If you don't hear from me tomorrow just know that I am resting up and taking it easy. I'll talk to you all later.

Bye

Earlier this afternoon me and three of my other female coworker's went to O'Charley's for lunch. My boss and two of my male coworker's paid for us to go to lunch since us ladies were celebrating the occasion of our birthday's. They were nice enough to pay for us so we went out for lunch. Here is the link for the restaurant ---> http://www.ocharleys.com/ . My other female coworker's got the steak dinner's which they liked. We had a great time going out for lunch. Our male coworker's wanted to treat us to lunch so they gave us some money to go out and celebrate with. We all thanked them for the treat it was quite nice of them and we also thanked our boss for treating us to lunch as well since he also gave us money to go out to lunch.

When we got back to work us ladies were full and tired. We did the last of our work and we had a very nice day out. By the way you might want to know that this morning my mom and my niece's came up to my work for a little while to sit in one of the courtrooms to see how a trial was going on. They didn't stay long and I couldn't be with them since I had to work but I did see them.

Some News....

Hello everyone

Good evening all !!!! Yesterday it was storming like crazy outside. Lightning was flashing and it was thundering pretty loud in Georgia. It was quite dark outside. The power went out for a minute and then they came back on.

I did finish reading "Black Hills" and I have to say that it was a good book. I won't ruin the ending by telling you how it ended but it was good. I am glad I read it and I really do think that it was worth reading. I highly recommend the book.

Today started another week at work for me and it was raining this morning as I got to work. My dad works in the same building as I do and the news of his retirement was all over the building. He will be retiring as a Deputy Sheriff this month which he can't wait for.

Anywho...two of my coworker's celebrated their birthday with us at work. One of the women is named Francis and the other is named Dianne. I got them each a different birthday card which made them laugh and I put a $1.00 in each of their card for them. My coworker's are nice and they seem to enjoy working with me. We are busy at work these days and the people at our building are nice people as well.

How are things in your part of the world ? I do hope that all is well in your neck of the woods ? I do hope that you have a wonderful week and I will talk to you again later.

My Niece Jeanette Had A Birthday Today....

Hello everyone

Good evening all !!! How is everyone today ? First you might want to know that my oldest niece Jeanette turned "18" today. I treated her and my other niece and my folks to dinner at a place called "Pappadeaux" in Marietta, Georgia. It was our first time going there. My niece Jeanette and my family had fun there. I can't believe that she is "18" already. This is her picture.
Here is the link to the restaurant that we went to ----> http://www.pappadeaux.com/home/ . My family really liked the food and it was nice going there for the first time.
Anywho...it was another day at work for me. I did start reading the book "Black Hills" by my favorite writer Nora Roberts. In the book it starts that eleven-year-old Cooper Sullivan has been sent to live with his grandparents in South Dakota for the summer. Cooper has just met his neighbor's girl Lil Chance. Later in the book Cooper had to leave his grandparents place. He did carve a cougar for Lil which she liked and she gave him an old coin that she had found. A little while later in the book Cooper and Lil came upon some blood and then human remains. In some of the story Lil trapped a cougar in a cage so she could tag it for research. Apparently someone was able to get to the cage where the cougar was and shot it. Shooting the cougar was not hunting it was an act of murder. Somebody had went and messed with the campsite where Cooper and Lil were staying. Somebody seems to be trying to hurt Lil.
Here is the link for Nora Roberts ----> http://www.noraroberts.com/
So my dear world how was your day ? I do hope that you had a really nice day today. We have had rain on and off for the last couple of days. Of course the Michael Jackson funeral was all over the news and on the radio. Everyone is talking about Michael Jackson and about how he died. They say that this talk of Michael is going to last for months since they will have to do some investigation of his death. What do you think of it all ????
Do let me know how things are in your neck of the woods. I will talk to you again soon. Tomorrow is another day at work for me of course. I'll keep you posted with more news of what's going on in my part of the world.
Take care everyone

Happy 4th Of July !!!!!!!

Hello everyone

Happy 4th Of July !!!!!!!!! I hope you all had a wonderful and exciting 4th Of July. My family and I had a cookout at our house in Riverdale, Georgia with a ton of fireworks. We almost had a little bush fire but luckily we took a hose and put it off. The fireworks we got apparently were a little wild but the fireworks went okay after the little fire we had. We didn't know that one of the fireworks we got was going to go off toward one of our bushes. All in all the fireworks were great and the night was fun. We had some barbeque, hamburgers, potato chips, watermelon balls, cantaloupe that we balled, some pickes and olives and a cake that my niece Megan made which was very very good. She made a red, white and blue cake with a white cake mix and red food coloring and blue food coloring. During the cookout my uncle Tony came over with some Jumbalaya that he made at the house which was quite good. My other niece Jeanette had her boyfriend over at our house to help celebrate the 4th of July with us.

In other news I did watch the movie "Nights In Rodanthe" with Richard Gere and Diane Lane. The movie was great and I liked it. I thought that Richard Gere did a wonderful job in the movie and so did Diane Lane. I highly recommend this movie ----> http://nightsinrodanthe.warnerbros.com/ . I think that its worth watching and I hope you get a chance to see it. I only wish that I could go to Rodanthe, North Carolina now because it looks so beautiful in the movie.

So how was your 4th of July ?? Did you do any fireworks ? I hope that you had a wonderful night and a great 4th of July. I do wonder how the troops are doing in Iraq these days ?? If anyone knows of anyone who is over there do let them know that I am thinking of them and wishing them well and I do hope that they are able to come home soon safe and sound.

Good night all !!!!!!!!!!

It was a great place to go shopping for fireworks. There were some really huge fireworks there and there were a lot of people there shopping for fireworks as well.

Later on we went to Chick-Fil-A for lunch and they do have some good food there. We ate there and I treated my family.
